I enjoy watching your video very much. However, I need to point out that at 1:26 and on the image of "Help her feel human again" is the campaign for the House of Hope, a counseling agency for abused women in United Arab Emirates. FYI.
But adverts aren't always aimed at the person who's going to be using the product. For example, the reebok trainers might be aimed at the boyfriend/husband, in a way saying "You want your partner to look liker her, buy this". So adverts are slightly different in that case, never the less i enjoyed your video.
Interesting. We're looking at Gaze Theory tomorrow in a lecture so this has given a nice little foundation for me to continue my research. Basically, sex sells, ey? What about if in any one of those adverts, every single member of the production team was a stereotypical butch lesbian? Would that create a whole new genre of gaze?
Women still constitute the smallest minority as directors, writers, etc
