  • patience, understanding, loyalty.

    love that sample.

  • this is filthy but still all hip hop heads

    Blue scholars-loyalty

    same sample

dont you dare say that FE made this beat first, that shit arguable

  • It's like a breath of fresh air to see artists like The Foreign Exchange making beautiful music in a time of mass popularity, fortune, and fame. I LOVE IT. I used to be upset that people didn't listen to good music such as this, but then i realized, music like this separates people, and keeps the chillers and scholars and philosophers in one place. And keeps the money hoarding, pussy loving, drug addicted clowns in another.

  • @ReLaXdnJaY Yeah, this is def better. I would just mute him and listen to Nic'a beat instead

  • sick beat dope song

  • Its crazy because I definitely thought this was drakes song, but after hearing this on Kendrick Lamar station on Pandora....... the foreign exchange definitely has my attention!

  • Refreshing to read that the younger generation of hip hop have an open ear for non-mainstream music. That's dope! I've seen posts about "Drake" using this. Um, Phonte has been around for over a decade, no disrespect but his lyrics and style are too versatile, Drake in my humble opinion is just another mainstream artist. His so called music sound like nursery rhyme. And is just me but doesn't he sound like a frog with a mic? My ear aches after a few songs.

  • Whats the name of the song where Drake sampled this?

  • @BoxOfOranges84 Drake - Get Over It

  • i literally googled te like fucking 40 times to find the original song, i ould never find it, luckily this song played on my pandora the other day

  • damn these dudes are hella ill, beautiful hip-hop right here

  • we need to realize that this is not all that we are

  • Why are we talking about Drake? ...

  • @marc15yo it's the same sample the sylvers- that's what love is made of

  • man drake used this beat for some sorta freestyle or something?..cause i see you people talking about it...smh..

  • dont drake got a song wit this beat?

  • @GRAFFLIFE95 isnt drake an R&B singer not a rapper?

  • WAIT someone PLZ confirm with me this, I think i'm hearing things.

K the background before they start rapping i hear the singing that sounds like the same thing Blue scholars sampled with their song "Loyalty"

You can hear the signer in the background saying "loyalty" just like in blue scholars song.

    ;0

  • I've always wanted to hear Blackthought get real philosophical on some Nicolay beats. uhh

  • 5 people are too manly to admit they like r&b choruses...

  • none of them are the real makers, its the sylvers, and all they did was chop it into a couple pieces

  • shout out to my homie that showed me Foreign Exchange

  • @sofagangflip same here, just discovered these dudes recently - been bumping them ever since.

  • UNDER RATED!!! NUFF SAID....

  • Drake is a pussy

  • "...feel's like destiny's in the palm of his hand..." ~ Thumbs up if you feel that...real talk

  • this shit is straight 'nanners

  • This is a message! God spoke to me in this right moment i needed. The perfect Lyrics for the perfect beat. Thanks!

  • This is one of the best tracks i have ever heard and i have 100gigs of hiphop damn keep it up gents -Kay60 from south africa.

  • HIPHOP!

  • doesnt it sound like the volume goes up then down. crazy. like somebody is recording it on something. might just be me

  • RICKEY SMILEY ...SENT ME HERE... LOL

  • This beat is perfect.

  • I didn't know about the drake thing til now, it kind of irritates me, but you can't stay mad at anything while this song is playing :)

  • drake killed this song

  • @quagmirexx o yeah the " get over it " joint yessir

  • i was introduced to em with the "leave it all behind" album.....simply perfect...i adore r&b and thats what its like but it has the perfect touch of hip hop...needless to say im very happy somebody told me about them

  • dug up this album and listened to this jam like 20 times already today.. Median is so underrated too..

  • Little brother! (:

  • damn i didnt know this was foreign exchange. i know drake rapped over it for get over it. dope beat

  • @icecreamprincess09 Yeah, what bothered me about it was that he never acknowledged the group, except just saying in the beginning, "you know Te, I told you were my favorite rapper right?" Te isn't used too much to refer to Phonte, so it doesn't help when Drake, an already big name, doesn't properly mention who's behind the original song or mentioned the original artist, so must people think it's a Drake song.

  • @lpfan091989 he said his name again at the end of the song though

  • @quagmirexx He just says Little brother at the end but never calls him Phonte, just Te (at the beginning). I'm just saying that he should've acknowledged the group (Foreign Exchange) and said Phonte (whole name). I like Drake a lot, in fact, so this that's what kinda bothered me. I'd like to see them work together at some point though, besides the few songs they did in Drake's Comeback Season mixtape.

  • @lpfan091989 don't forget though, and I'm sure you know this being a fan - that when Drake used this instrumental he was hot but hadn't blown up at the that point (before his debut album) to be fair I proffered these style of tracks Aubrey jumped on prior to Thank Me Later in his mixtape days - At least he appreciates good music though! I hope he goes back to this style beats for Take Care... he may have leaned a bit too commercial though - who knows will wait and see!

  • @lpfan091989 fuck drake. this real shit! big up dem!!!

  • @lpfan091989 please stop whining, little brother f.e. do not need pity mainstream shout outs

  • @illholla84 Relax dude, I'm just commenting about it. Maybe they don't need it but if it's the point for more people to know, hear about or listen to Little brother and +FE, yeah it would be good, don't you think?

  • @lpfan091989

HE didnt have to say the niggas name at all. How many niggas borrow tracks for mixtapes without dropping one word as to who was on the beat first? yall need to let niggas do them. And btw when Drake made the actual song over this beat he wasn't much more popular than Phonte. So stop crying. Unfortunately for you. Lil Brother isnt ever gonna be more popular than they are

  • @mrbcyap Yeah exactly my point that people don't get a shoutout in mixtape. Even more so, since Drake wasn't that popular back then, then it would be more of a reason to say Phonte's name in the song. Who's crying about it? I'm defending my argument, so if you think that I am then that's your opinion, so chill out.

  • @icecreamprincess09 i knew from when i heard this beat it was foreign exchange! i'd heard the joint a while ago but forgot who it was then my boy played me drakes rhyme n im like this is foreign exchange drake did a good job on it but i like this original version better

  • @icecreamprincess09 um, 'tay' is used in short for phonte all the time? ...but like, if you know the relation and the work they've done together (phonte/lb + drake), then you'd know he's referring to him/them, and showing love. just saying.

  • @22aka22 i had no idea who foreign exchange was for a while so i didnt know about this track. that's what i was saying. when i heard get over it, it thought it was a 9th wonder beat made for him not just him rapping over phonte's track.

  • whats four assholes dissed this song?? what were they doin on this page anyway?

  • This tha shit

  • 1 LOVE!

  • phonte. i love you

  • Damn this album just makes me feel some kinda way. It will never get old and I love every second of it. They make it look like making great music is reeeal easy to do but we all know it's not at all. I would give this album a standing ovation for the rest of my life....

  • dude +FEofficial is killing it, Whatever genre they are classified under. Whatever song they make is golden. Even Gangster Rappers want to hear smooth/cool sounds with meaning erry now n then.

  • I checked em out after hearing em on Talib Kweli pandora radio(props for that 1st off). The 1st 3 songs Ive checked out on youtube are cool but mainly all R&B. I wanna hear more Hip Hop tracks like this one from them. This track is a banger!

  • @HighDrovision If you want hip-hop then listen to their album Connected.

  • @guitarplayer123 Me too, still my favorite album.

  • This is my shit Phonte' still spittin killa rhymes good shit Nic on da boards.

  • LOVE THESE DUDES, SO HOT SO SMOOTH SO FLUID SO FE TO NOURISH THE MIND

  • Love Connected... but FE isn't a hip hop group...that's why a lot of folk are upset about the sound of the albums psot connected. Connected had wwaaayy more of a hip hop feel (mostly because of all the rhymes on it) ...Phonte has really focused on his singing with the FE projects

  • My Ex favorite song. Damn i miss that Chick.

  • this is real hip-hop

  • Woooooooooooooo. Im hella lit right now.

  • better late than never...man this is fantastic!!...+Median..woooooooooo!

  • too dope!

  • @dopemymust he's not on the beat, but you are on his nuts.

  • Thank you Mr. Graham for bring me here, lol. These guys are amazing.

  • Thank God for Pandora. I would have never discovered these guys or this song if it wasn't for that.

  • My fave FE song of the week! <3

  • My heart belongs to The Foreign Exchange! Seriously this music is too amazing!

  • The word of the day is dope. This is a textbook example. Please, do take notes.

  • I'm feelin' this track because, it's got that new skool sound with that old skool groove. slick post.

  • Saw them Yesderday in their first show in london at Cargo!! They were so good! obviously they couldnt do much from this album ! but i wish they did!

  • this is my shit I swear there's something about this track that just keeps me comin back to it over the years

  • I bought this album. man..... the type of shit that'll rearrange your way of thinking, far as where hip hop is going for the coming years hip hop is coming back to life. I'm loving it

  • Man... Good music right here. Pure hip-hop!

  • pure dopeness r&b-boying!!!!!!!!!

  • @Marquisecrowder yeah I got it on my ipod it good but its just drake and phonte ...

  • to now noon man leave it all behind had bout 5 tracks that was hot main why you hatin on em main real hip hop comes from the heart-one

  • fire!

  • I really love this song my older brother used to play this for me

    "i want u 2 feel me baby. I want u 2 understand me baby!"

  • @VQuincy soulja boy is fucking horrrible...

  • beat used same sample as 'Blue Scholars - Loyalty' and 'Input - Yesterday'

  • @YAOMINGOWNS I think this is the best version.

  • This shits on Kanye West, Lil Queasy, and Soulja Hoe

  • @dopemymust It's Nicolay.

  • @dopemymust nicolay?

  • samples?

  • @thebeatmatiz The Sylvers - That's What Love Is Made Of

  • oh of course, a lot of the hip hop I listen to is from outside this country and isn't even in English. I'm just saying, as a hip hop fan looking for hip hop; Leave it all Behind and Authenticity are not the albums to go looking for it.

  • The CONNECTED album is so amazing... what's up with the bullshit Foreign Exchange is putting out these days.... Leave it all Behind... Authenticity... please, that garbage is not hip hop.... I'm just so pissed cause I'm a fan but I hate those albums!!!

  • @NowNoon Connected is amazing, but you can't compare them because they are different genres. You are more of a hip-hop person. I love hip-hop more than anything but I also like influences from other genres. I think +FE has done a good job in mixing them and making a sound that is their's.

  • @lpfan091989 Connected, Leave It All Behind, Authenticity they're all the best!

  • @NowNoon First off, Leave it all behind is a great album. Its been influences greatly by what many people know these days to be referred to as JAZZ: Secondly, hip-hop is not strickly dope ass beats with someone rippin a few verses before the beat drops. Hip-Hop is a culture, and its music is universal. Influenced by more than just one specific genre of music. But you being such a "true fan of hip-hop", Im sure you already knew that. Right?

  • @NowNoon what are you on about, leave it all behind was amazing.

  • @steveosk8s that album was blown. Maybe if i kept up with blogs n stuff I wouldn't have been as surprised but the first time I found out that Leave it All Behind was not Hip Hop was after I bought it. I figured Connected was dope as heck so of course Im picking up the 2nd album.... BUT NO!

  • @NowNoon i'm 100% hip hop head but leave it all behind is amazing. don't be close-minded.

  • @missbonita23 I'm glad im not, If I was close-minded I would not listen to music not only of different genre but different language too. I just feel I got bamboozled after I bought their 2nd album. Now I listen to albums before I buy them.

  • @NowNoon i didn't mean to offend you..i just don't know why you had to bring up the album you don't like on the song thats on the album you actually like. that being said, i hope you can think about leave it all behind in terms of a chill neo-soul/r&b/experimental hip hop album instead of comparing it to connected, then listen to the album sampler, then the album. you might just change your mind bc its that dope

  • @missbonita23 Please don't misunderstand. You did not offend me. I was just informing you that I was not close minded. I bring it up here because this is the Foreign Exchange that I like and reminisce about. I do listen to album samplers and previews these days. But I gave up on leave it all behind a looong time ago ;)

  • @NowNoon dont hate ...love it

  • @yuser32 I LOVE THIS TRACK

  • @NowNoon Ignorant shit, slamming an artist because they don't stick to one genre. Yawn.

  • @Aardvarked88 get over it.

  • @NowNoon Get over what? You're the close-minded dipshit who's dismissing the group because they moved towards soul and r&b for their later albums.

  • @Aardvarked88 Yes, I am SOOOOO close minded.... I listen to other genres and music with different languages too. You seem easily upset, cursing at people that are not even angry at you. Listen to the music you like and get over it.

  • @Aardvarked88 I feel you on that! Artist should be allowed to grow and put out what they feel inspired to create! I love this group.

  • @NowNoon SAME YO. I love the foreign exchange but the songs are just starting to sound weird and stupid. PHONTE STAY RAPPIN GOT DANGIT

  • @mrecu2007 straight up

  • @mrecu2007 and have you seen them perform? i don't like all the preachy talk they do...it's not church... BUT i love them...sigh...just have to stick with it and hope they come back around

  • @dejatrue Yea I went to the FE Authenticity release party at that Winery in Raleigh....I was happy to see everyone but I wasn't happy to hear the new music or the new direction the group was going in. Phonte really wants to be a singer, and he's decent but i'll rather hear bars from the man.

  • @NowNoon +FE isn't a hip hop group, their last two albums is their identity. But I will agree, I like Phonte more as a rapper than a singer, but he's doing whats better for him, listen to "Tigallo for Dolo" off LB 'Left Back' album.

  • @tdwalk06 that's the kind of Phonte that got my attention in the first place

  • @NowNoon

Feel me, those other FE albums are for the kiddies... Nicolay's beats are lackluster as is Phontes singing and rhyming

  • @NowNoon Broaden your horizons. There's plenty good music that isn't hip-hop. Both those albums are great

  • @MexicanMocacho look at my page. that will give you a tiny taste of what else i listen to. horizons have BEEN broad for quite some time now.

  • @NowNoon lol nigga Foreign is more R & B if u want hip hop go listen to Little Brother that is where Phonte spits, Foreign Phonte does a mixture of singing

  • @eachneverydaynosleep this nigga....thank you. Thank you SO much I did not know that about them AT ALL! Thanks to you I now know about Little Brother, I slept on them this whole time.

  • @NowNoon lol nigga well u complaining n shit

  • @eachneverydaynosleep nigga i wrote that 9 months ago!

  • blue scholars used the same sample, this one is sooo much better tho.

  • nice!!!!!

  • haha man this stuff is so chill!

  • This is hot shit. Nicolay is the shit.

  • Tudo e um pouco+...delíííciaa...

  • drake pop ass got on dis beat

  • this song go so hard

  • amazing.

  • real hip hop, fuck all that dancing music shit nowadays.

  • beat is really ill

  • Phonte, D-Brock, Nicolay.. I missed y'all at Yoshi's S.F. .....One Time!

  • I've been listening to Phonte, Big Pooh, and the rest of the Justus League since 2001. These guys have kept me going through many ups and downs and will continue to thump in my speakers for time to come. Big ups to all of them and everyone making music like this!

  • This is real hip hop, im actually goin to these cats show tonite gonna be ill. Sabzi from Blue Scholars does a nice track with the sample used on this track. The joint Loyalty on the Bayani album.

  • @birdmane09 Totally agree. I'm actually a fan of blue scholars too, though not at as big as +FE. I got that album, and Loyalty is definitely a great track.

  • @birdmane09 Totally agree. I'm actually a fan of blue scholars too, though not at as big as TFE. I got that album, and Loyalty is definitely a great track.

  • @lpfan091989 thumbs up to the real hip hop...

  • this is what im talkin bout!

  • love this!

  • Luv dat album

  • love it

  • feels so lovely. feels so connected

  • this is my favorite fucking joint on the whole album. so much energy and motivation,

  • Drake did at least give the shoutout to Phonte tho at the beginning of "Get Over It"

  • Goddamn i luv dis song!!! da production, da lyrics Phonte is da truth

  • is drakes version on the net? i did'nt know he did one. but personally i'm not a fan. i like a few track's i.e. dont u have a man & Deceiving.

  • I love this song by The Foreign Exchange. Drake probabaly did too...Thats probably why he sampled.

  • I love this album!! and 'leave it all behind'

  • better then drakes version

  • @thelegacyishere Original is usually gonna be better. You know Drake fans gonna think it's his song.. even years from now.

  • this my shit phonte is very underrated

  • Liking Median on this shit.

  • 2nd favorite joint on this incredible album after "Happiness"...luv this joint!!

  • yo that pic is beautiful no homo

  • I love this track! Check out Blue Scholars - Loyalty as well, uses the same sample! But this is more soulful! FE for prez.

  • i love all races and music....but drake, along with mainstream rap blows
