  • Two best trailers that end in sinister laughter is this one and Lost Highway.

  • Brilliant film! Seen it 4 or 5 times now. Anyone else find it lol funny in some parts?

  • This movie is on Android media center. BOOYAH

  • i can safely say that out of all the 2000s movies, this one seems to be in the "god-tier" department, while most of the others are in "shit-tier" department

  • I watched this movie for the first time a year ago and thought it was good. I watched it again a year later and thought it was nothing short of a masterpiece. There Will be Blood is one of those movies that the more you watch, the better the it gets.

I'm not denying that Daniel Day Lewis is a great actor, but he tends to (in my own opinion) overact; however, he's stunning as Daniel Plainview in There Will be Blood.

  • For me, cinema begins and ends with this and The Godfather.

  • Perfect movie. The best movie of the past decade.

  • 1080p HD in 2007! wtf!

  • what's really sad is we are watching this in our 10th grade english/history class

  • @theizziebizzie Lucky bastard

  • BURN THE PROPHEEEEEEEEET!

  • i remember that guy! he's from Miss Little Sunshine

  • I am never watching this.

  • @LikeLegitness why

  • @LikeLegitness Quit being a faggot and watch it.

  • if you watch it backwards it becomes a story of love and redemption.

  • there will be blood and no country for old men should switch titles, think about it! they would fit perfectly

  • there will be milkshakes

  • Daniel is such a different actor, there`s just no one like him.

    He`s so god damn awesome.

    I AM THE THIRD REVELATION!

  • draaaaaaainage!

  • Like if Jonny Greenwood brought you here

  • SPOILER

I don't understand why the boy later sets the floor on fire. Is he mad at Daniel? Or the other guy for pretending to be the half brother?

  • @Cryptically He set fire because he blames his dad for what happened to him.

  • @Cryptically After watching it for the 3rd time I believe it's because the boy figured out that there was something sketchy about the brother..good intuition and understanding of him. Notice the flame headed right for the brother.

  • Bill the Butcher's grandson!

  • @InsanityAchieved same here! Lol

  • Smosh brought me here. ;D

  • @InsanityAchieved Me too!

  • I can actually do a great impression of Daniel Plainview....

  • i have a man-crush on Daniel Day Lewis

  • I had no idea that Lionel Messi was a preacher with healing powers

  • I seem to always love Daniel's roles in films

  • whoo Johnny GREEN wood!!! yeah

  • for me the best movie ever and with all respect for all great actors DANIEL DAY-LEWIS IS THE GREATEST

  • Thats the dude frlm the crucible

  • There were three western masterpieces of 2007; There Will Be Blood, No Country For Old Men and The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford.

  • @MrTimeControl

2007 was full of great films. It may have been on the best years for film in decades (aside from 1998).

Seriously, there was There Will be BLood, No Country for Old Men, Assassination of Jesse James, Gone Baby Gone, American Gangster, Into the Wild, Sweeney Todd, Zodiac, Juno, Atonement, Lives of Others, Hot Fuzz, Michael Clayton, Ratatouille, Bourne Ultimatum, and so many more. The Academy had a field day for that year.

  • @MrTimeControl The best western movie is - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

  • @MrTimeControl 3:10 to Yuma was good.

  • @MrTimeControl I wouldn't say that "The Assassination of Jesse James" was a masterpiece, but it was certainly was a damn good movie. Let's not forget "Juno" though. Not in the same league as "Blood" and "Old Men" but still damn near perfect!

  • Anyone else think his teeth reminds them of the title text?

  • This movie really made me question a lot of my beliefs. Fantastic movie.

  • Daniel is not a psychopath, though he is a misanthrope

  • smosh sent me here

  • Lewis does acting like it is real life. He is my favorite actor

  • I immensely regret not watching this movie in theaters.

  • "These . . . people" *laughs at the exact moment the title of the movie pops up*

Best fucking ending to a trailer EVER.

  • Awolnation brought me here. Said it was a really good movie

  • smosh brought me here

  • "Im finished"... lol

  • @cliff10101961 sarcasm?.........sarcasm, yeah.

  • this films ending was so satisfying

  • @thetubewithin 'Cause there was actually blood?

  • 49 people got their milkshake drank.

  • It's funny how you look at movie characters somtime and see yourself...

I look at some people and see nothing worth liking.....

I don't like watching other people succeed....

I do only see the worst in people......

Oh damn, I'm on pace to end up kiilling a fake prophet with a bowling pin :s

  • Comment removed

  • "I have competition in me.. I want no one else to succeed!" Daaamn I've felt like that so many times.. Just get PT Anderson an Oscar for best screenplay already.. shit..

  • Comment removed

  • @DonRMB but it was in the movie?

  • Apparently, PTA cut this trailer and released it without first notifying the MPAA or Paramount Vantage.

  • 48 people are false prophets

  • Just noticed that priest guy looks like lionel Messi!

  • @xxxJbanditxxx jajajaja you are right!

  • I am a false prophet, God is a superstition...

  • Anyone noctics that Rockstar games based the town plainview on this???? In RDR

  • DANIEL DAY-LEWIS... perhaps the BEST ACTOR EVER !!!

  • How he says, "these people..." Scary, very scary.

  • This is probably the best performance of the decade.

  • anyone know the name of the scene were Eli gets slapped and Daniel throws him on the ground and covers him in mud? That he will bury him to the ground?

  • I don't know why I thought this was gonna be about some crazy serial killer or pychopath that murders his competiton, but I still thought it was a really good movie.

  • @tarjay35 Are you pyramidheadkitten9's former friend?

  • @LightStijn LMAO no.

  • I so wish that 2 movies can win best picture , because this would be the second with also awesome no country for old men

  • Very little actual blood

  • this film has a very intense ending scene ^^

  • Did anyone else notice the tear that fell from Daniel's eye when he sent H.W. away on the train? I didn't catch this until I saw the movie on Blu-ray.

  • @postalcode2934 wow! I never noticed this. gotta get the blu-ray version right away

  • Best. Trailer. Ever.

  • "with these....people...*chilling laugh*" Ladies and gentleman what Daniel Day Lewis does right there is beyond acting. It just transcends the form.

  • @Tigerlily21

it's still called acting.. hes just fcking good at it

  • @Tigerlily21 I show this video to everyone who thinks that Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are good actors.

  • Excuse me, but that's a God right there. Daniel Day Lewis is Jesus resurrected.

  • 1911 looks good with the film

  • This is probably my favorite trailer ending of all time. One of the reasons of this, is that it affects me physically every time - When Lewis delivers the infamous "I can't keep doing this on my own... With these, um... *smirks* ...people..." line, I always, ALWAYS smirk, too :D...

I could watch it 10 times in a row, I still do it every time! And the whole sentence adds this cool "F*ck everybody!" feeling to it...

I'd like to hope I'm not the only one who thinks this :D...

  • this film is a masterpiece..in 20 years time this will be in the top five movies of all time..classic

  • 45 morons haven't grown to such films...

  • @MrSeduction7 They like Transformers ROFL!

  • see George Bush gives this speech.

    /watch?v=9gI9Ck2XH7k

  • the music in this film is by Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood

  • Masterpiece

  • 45 dislikes?

  • if you liked the movie you should read the book, its "OIL" by Upton Sinclair, good read.

  • one of my friends said this movie sucked because he thought it would be about a psychopath and that it was boring and had no purpose.

    hes no longer my friend.

  • @pyramidheadkitten9 that guy is a psychopath; he has no empathy. all he sees is greed.

  • @pyramidheadkitten9 he probalby liked that shit 'No Country For Old Men'

  • @mjmanning123 I love this and No Country (this a lot more). But I understand what you mean. He probably rooted for Anton in that movie and cheered when people got murdered.

  • @pyramidheadkitten9 Didnt he confuse it with "No Country for Old Men" then?

  • @pyramidheadkitten9 good call, though it is about a psychopath

  • @pyramidheadkitten9 I have a friend who hated this movie, but at least he was able to give me a valid reason for disliking it. He didn't just say that it sucked.

  • @pyramidheadkitten9 I have never more happily voted a YouTube comment up.

  • @pyramidheadkitten9 What's he talking about? Daniel Plainview IS a psychopath.

  • @pyramidheadkitten9 it definitely is about a psychopath, just not the murdery kind.

  • my god i love this movie

  • i love this guy he's the best actore

  • SPOILER!!!! DO NOT READ PAST HERE IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE!**

There was blood at the end when he kills Eli, isn't that what the title references too? How there ends up being blood after that whole time

Lol they removed your comments, what n00bs. Anyway I never really though about spoiling it I'll make sure to re-edit my post!

  • by blood they didnt mean the blood we bleed...they meant the blood of the earth which is oil

  • @riversidefrsh you don't think it's a pun?

  • @noahnz i dont think it was

  • i like

  • there will be oil. i mean blood.

  • i....drink......your.....MILKSHAKE

  • I don't see blood...

  • i totally did not love this movie. what the hell is it about.

  • with these..... people. HAHA!

  • Stunning film. The opening sequence as well as the films entire cinematography were both gorgeous. Not to mention Lewis's captivating performance.

  • 1:37...is one of the darkest looks i've ever seen! very dark performance! 5/5 daniel day lewis!!

  • I love how this movie like Chinatown (1974), has very very subtitle underlinings of masterful horror yet are dramas. Especially in their trailers. Love the trailer also.

  • Lewis should have won the Academy Award for Gangs of New York as well. His performance there was just as deserving. I think it is an absolute fraud that Adrian Brody won for the Pianist. What a disgrace.

  • (it drinks your milk shake)

  • There was just a handful of individuals watching it when I went to go see it on a snowy February evening. Few who saw it in theaters will soon forget the sheer emotional weight that occurred while viewing this modern classic. To a father's agony to the hope for redemption only for it to be blown away due to a slight of judgement. It was black and white with the vibrance of rolling plains, it was the loudest silent film ever conceived, it refuses to be forgotten, it never will be.

  • DDL evoked every kind of emotion in me throughout this film.. but above all I felt a genuine sense of fear - this guy conveys the madness of the man with such a chilling and serious depth.. I felt utterly compelled to watch see what he did next!

  • Is it about rockefeller ?

  • @Robsshot

No, Daniel Plainview is one of the independent oil producers, who tries to survive in an era in which Rockefeller and Standard Oil pretty much owned everything when it came to the oil business. Spoiler ahead: In the movie Plainview needs to build a pipeline to the coast so that he can transport his oil without the need to transport it by rail. You see since Rockefeller owned the railroad he could charge any price for transport so whatever somebody made from oil was eaten up...

  • I remember seeing this preview in the movie theatre. Some guy behind me just mumbled, "well, there goes best actor".

  • GREAT film, though I prefered No country for old men SOME how, but this one is GREAT too!

  • man it's awesome.

    even better than the soundrack

  • I just can't believe they fucked up russian release so badly.

It was named "Oil" by copy owners. Can you imagine that? Changing "Blood" to "Oil"... Wise decision, my ass.

  • @BeezOne84

Well, considering it wasn't a huge commercial success anywhere, those who read the great reviews went to see it. I think those in Russia that knew about this movie wanted to see it regardless if the title of the movie had been slighltly changed.

Besides including the word blood means a lot of ignorant people think they are going to see some horror movie (Daniel Plainview is more scary than any stupid horror movie character, because people like him do exist in the businessworld)

  • @McLarenMercedes

It's funny, but the trailer looks like true horror for me - music, quoted lines, emotions on screen, everything just screams about good horror movie :)

  • @McLarenMercedes

It's funny, but the trailer looks like true horror for me - music, quoted lines, emotions on screen, everything just screams about good horror movie.

But of course not for this, uh... people. :)

  • Great movie, great cinematography, and great performance by Daniel Day-Lewis. I also really love the soundtrack, but for some reason it always reminds me of The Shining.

  • @GhettoWerewolf Good call on the "Shining" comparison. The final scene always felt very Kubrick-esque to me, especially.

  • @dylan9094 Yeah, thanks man. I guess it's not just me that noticed the influence then.

  • fuckin A

    beuatiful fillum

absolute joy to watch Day Lewis

    fantastic actor superb performance

    CLASSIC fillum

  • The Movie Ends with the Man Bowiling

  • @EspioArtwork Uh..he's not actually "Bowiling" at all, but hey, good try.

  • @EspioArtwork retard

  • @EspioArtwork what's man bowiling?

  • there will be pokemon!

  • Daniel Day-Lewis is just like Marlon Brando, every performance is as perfect and haunting as the last and leave a powerful impact on cinema itself.

  • @martin43427 i dont mean to bash brand i love brando quite a bit. but u should know daniel day lewis is more dedicated. in Gangs OF new york he got pneumonia. and he refused to go to a doctor, or wear a thicker coat, because he said it would ruin his acting since there were no doctors in the 1800's

  • @malows1234 That seems more foolish than dedicated to me.

  • @TKRvids how so , he is doing bettter performances than brando. well at least for there will be blood, and films such as my left foot. And truly i dont think brando is that high up there. the way man see it is screen legends such peter o' toole, laurence olivier, daniel day lewis. and sorry to say this but brando became a absolute dick late in his career asking for absurd paychecks turning down great roles, and constantly fighting with directors. refusing to wear costumes he didn't like.

  • @martin43427 i think of daniel day lewis vs marlon brando as HARD WORK, TALENT=IMMENSE TALENT

  • @martin43427 Can't wait for him to play Lincoln

  • kanye's fav movie

  • If you're a scrapper like me, you understand why the scene where they fight at 1:28 is so damn meaningful. HW makes him eat the oil and mud while he's kicking Daniel's arse.

  • @truedude30 Do you even know what you're talking about?

  • @phxsns1 I've beat up more guys (like you) to understand the subtleties of the fight scene in the oil field...which is probably why you don't get it. So listen up. Daniel Day's character is making a statement. 'If you're looking for a fight then you had better learn how to fight in my element, my oil. You've never even tasted it, whereas I live in it. It lives within me. And I will finish you if you get in my way again. Dont fu8k with me. Don't fu9k with my oil.' Excellent scene!

  • @truedude30 When does HW come into to play?

  • @phxsns1 jeeeezus dude. get off my nuts. In the scene at 1:28, just before he says "I see the worst in people" is a snippet of the fight between HW and Daniel in the oil field. For the remainder of my brief explanation see below.

  • @truedude30 That would be Eli. HW is his son.

  • @phxsns1 Daniel's adopted son, I mean.

  • @phxsns1 Daniel Day and the preacher.

  • ... looks like a boring movie...

  • @Katogirl1 yea it is a boring movie if you suck!

  • @Katogirl1 its not

  • paul dano was extremely overlooked in his role

  • Probably the most deserved Oscar win of all time.
