I totally agree!! Jihoo was wayyy too perfect to be a remake of the manga. I've watched all versions of boys over flowers and read the manga and I think the Korean version has to be the best. The way the writers made the jihoo and jandi moments just made us root for them even more but it sucks that he doesn't get her in the end. I really wanted Jihoo to win instead of junpyo. He was just a jerk and didn't care about her as much as jihoo did.
I got to agree with you.. In Meteor Garden, I was rooting for the main guy.. But in Boys Over Flowers, you just can't help but root for Ji Hoo. He is TOO perfect. >.< Not like there is anything wrong with Lee Min Ho.. I simply didn't like him as much as Kim Hyun Joong in this drama. I ADORE him in Personal Preference, though. :)

He acts that way in the beginning because his imprisoned life suffocated him in the inside. Jun Pyo had everything that didn't matter to him but not true love. Since Ji Hoo grew up alone he was more quiet and expressed himself through music. Every one has a way to deal with things in life. We can't judge based on mere appearances.

Guan di shouldve really end up with ji hoo. They are soulmates, n jihoo is always there for her. Especially when she needs someone to be there. But this is reality, the nice guys always gets rejected Becos the girl they like likes a jerk kind of guy.

The more I watch BOF the more I feel JH-JD are a couple in love than JP-JD. agree that KHJ-GHS chemistry r much stronger than LMH-GHS. Like you said perhaps the writer too were rooting for JH-JD ending but the can't do that due to legal issue. As the story goes seems like JH is the husband since they both by each other side during happy times or bad while GJP is more obsess with GJD than loving her & they still live well enuf without each other while JH's luv is more of the unselfish true love
totally agree with you neverlandlady - wishing the JanHoo ending d 1st time!!! In MG, I was always crying over Daoming Si's char. eventhough I was rooting for Lei In the end loved the ending. In BOF, it was the JiHoo scenes. yup, Kim Hyun Joong's character is different from his role in BOF as Yoon Ji Hoo, who shows his care freely to the one he loves. KHJ is a type man who dont like mushy stuffs,as b4 he said in many interviews.
But his real characteristic made me love him beside Jihoo sunbae role. His frankness, 4Dness,etc. ofcoz his kindhearted is same as Jihoo & he also loves to sleep XD. I just can't resist his billion watt smile ^^
You know, the first time I watched BOF, I was definitely content with Jandi and Jun Po. But having watched BOF for a second time, I finally took notice of Jandi and Ji Hoo's relationship! He is essentially the perfect guy. Kind, attentive, caring, sweet... I look forward to any scene that brings Jandi and Ji Hoo together. But I still love Jun Po with Jandi just the same. I always think, if it was just him they shouldn't have to put junpyo in the story and it would be perfect. But off course the story wouldn't be interesting without some problems, and hard-to-get characters and stuff. I really love Jandi and Junpyo, but still Jihoo is the guy all girls dream of I guess!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHH! im soo sad!! it made me weep when she said that about ji hoo!! she loved him enough to say that he was her soulmate! gahh!! i knew it! right when the fortune lady said that she will have a soulmate and a husband.... the soulmate was JI HOO!! gahh!! soo saddd!! why couldnt ji hoo be her soulmate AND husband!

watched all 3 version. Loved d korean most. I agreed dat ji hoo n jandi r made 4 each other den junpyo. Really loved ji hoo smile n character. Its a shame dat dey r nt 2gather in d end but i feel dat ji hoo will always b by jandi side no matter where she goes. Dat kind of love is hard 2 find.

The more I watch BOF the more I feel JH-JD are a couple in love than JP-JD. agree that KHJ-GHS chemistry r much stronger than LMH-GHS. Like you said perhaps the writer too were rooting for JH-JD ending but the can't do that due to legal issue. As the story goes seems like JH is the husband since they both by each other side during happy times or bad while GJP is more obsess with GJD than loving her & they still live well enuf without each other while JH's luv is more of the unselfish true love

totally agree with you neverlandlady - wishing the JanHoo ending d 1st time!!! In MG, I was always crying over Daoming Si's char. eventhough I was rooting for Lei In the end loved the ending. In BOF, it was the JiHoo scenes. I was mad/sad when poor Ji Hoo said the at the last scene "I didn't go to med school just to help the clinic"..Really made me start thinking if there ever really is a soulmate in our lives & will we realize it early enough to choose them as our partner for our life??? :(

yup, Kim Hyun Joong's character is different from his role in BOF as Yoon Ji Hoo, who shows his care freely to the one he loves. KHJ is a type man who dont like mushy stuffs,as b4 he said in many interviews.
But his real characteristic made me love him beside Jihoo sunbae role. His frankness, 4Dness,etc. ofcoz his kindhearted is same as Jihoo & he also loves to sleep XD. I just can't resist his billion watt smile ^^

You know, the first time I watched BOF, I was definitely content with Jandi and Jun Po. But having watched BOF for a second time, I finally took notice of Jandi and Ji Hoo's relationship! He is essentially the perfect guy. Kind, attentive, caring, sweet... I look forward to any scene that brings Jandi and Ji Hoo together. But I still love Jun Po with Jandi just the same. Yet I now want Jandi with Ji Hoo too! I wish we could just split Jandi in half so that they can both have her!!!

i agree with his. Jihoo and jandi have more chemistry. Even thought I knew the plot, I want so badly that they change the ending. How can a girl not felt in love with JiHoo. IN MG, I like Lei but in this drama, I hate Jandi for not chosing JiHoo. I love F4(tw) but now I think I am faorite in love with JiHoo. Boys over Flower make the orginial Rhi in a ways that u love him more than the main character. Junpyo should just marry the other girl. OMG, please change the ending. I want them together.

at least no one would stop them from loving each other, and Jihoo's grandfather likes JanDi for his grand son, while Gu Jun Pyo, uhm, no comment actually, his mom is so irritating, if she would`nt just butt in, Geum Jan Di and Gu Jun Pyo can be.. But she always get`s in the way. urghh. she wants Jae Kyung, it`s a good thing Jae Kyung treats JanDi as her little sister and accepted the fact that the one he will marry love another person, JanDi :)

omg~ ur comments speak all of what we felt!!!! indeed, Jihoo is perfect in every way, and he deserve Jandi... maybe the scriptwriter for this version wanted more attention for guy who is always beside the lead actress despite the fact that all versions, the ending is still the same....
To make up for the loss, Jihoo's character outshine the lead guy to please us audience.... Nonetheless, Jihoo-jandi scenes makes me feel more warm than Junpyo-Jandi.

i agree with u.. when i watched korea version, i'm very clueless why they make jihoo's character stronger than jun pyo if in the end jian di will be jun pyo's.. it's very not fear for ji hoo.. i'm very touched for jihoo scene, which is i think this is the real meaning of love and a pureness.. his love very sincere and unegoistic different with jun pyo... i hope they make BOF2 and make other story for jihoo's happiness lovelife with other girl... ^^
