  • Wow, I wish I could play that well on the fiddle, amazing music.

  • My heart desires to have a friend from, UK, or, USA. iam IBRAHIM, a young gospel musician, and a master of ART and DESIGNS, from UGANDA. Tel: +256756211166

  • That fiddle player works for Riverdance now, she's also a classical musician but she goes under the name Aoife Ní Bhriain.

  • beautiful... just beautiful

  • i absolutely love irish/ celtic music!

  • am i the only American that likes good music like this? :c

  • @SweetSchism I'm an American, and I love your face. I mean this music.

Totally what I said. The music.

  • @RectulThreat wow. youre a dick.

  • @SweetSchism Uhmmm I'm American and I love this

  • @ShakiraElizabeth i wasnt being literal, i was just commenting on the taste in senseless and disgusting music among the majority of the American population. it disappoints me to hear garbage music blasting in the hallways at my school while walking between classes.

  • the fiddle player is really cute

  • Irish folk music = PURE LOVE

  • RANGA!!!

  • im from turkey i love irish songs irish dance irish people and celtics im gonna move to dublin one day

  • Two of my absolute favorite instruments..... just lovely....

  • sorry but you cant hear the flute ; its drowned out by the fiddle.

  • its good being irish

  • UP THE DUBS!!!!

  • she can fiddle with me any day

  • her fingers lift up to much... but AMAZING JOB!!!!!

  • I can Barely make out the flute! Sad.

  • What i dont like about The competitions is you have to play everything the exact same you cant compliment eachother like other situations

  • This has nothing to do with the "hotness" of the fiddle player... It has to do with her bowing and talent.

  • NiCE

  • Does anyone notice the flute player's moving pinky that does absolutely nothing? :D

  • @Noshuynhson it does alot for her timing and rhythm.

  • @Noshuynhson You serious?? Try moving your fourth finger without moving your pinky. Jeez....

  • @Noshuynhson its actually more of a reflex, if you ever watch guitarists that dont care about their pinky you notice it does essentially the same thing, theres certain spots the 3rd finger cant get to without jumping around like that, so it just kinda does its own thing

  • @Noshuynhson try moving your ring finger without moving your pinky

  • @LordEizen That's easy. Moving your ring finger without moving your middle finger is impossible,

  • @Noshuynhson lol she probably plays the C concert flute where the pinky is relevant! XD

  • @Noshuynhson so.... thats how she plays the flute,

  • @Noshuynhson Some call that restraint. Hahaha

  • @Noshuynhson yep, but... it's her base placement for the other 3 is it not? some banjo players do the same with their pinky fingers and some guitar players...

  • Flute and Fiddle play does blend!

  • fantastic playing!! hats off. only thing i wonder is has anyone ever thought of a nickname for the flute player.. maybe spider fingers?!

  • wish i were in ireland drinking guiness and whiskey and riding on horses

  • sounds good too bad that the violin completely overshadows the flute making the flute almost unhearable. They should've tuned down the microphone on the violin just a bit more so we can actaully distinguish the flute also

  • @shula9tsuno While the flute's mic could stand to be turned up slightly, the main reason why you can't hear the flute distinctly is that these girls are SO excellent at playing a duet in sync with each other. Listen carefully - the dominant sound isn't really the violin, it is the beautiful flowing sound of the violin and flute together. There are grace notes and bowing ornamentations which occasionally make one stand out over the other but almost every note is blended very well.

  • I am 100% Irish and so proud! Such a small island in a mammoth ocean but the music from this island is incomprehensibly exquisite! Go Irish Music! The Irish language is a whole different story

  • This is so outstanding!

  • I am about 95% Irish and proud! thumbs up if you agree!!

  • There are only two kinds of people in this world: those that are Irish musicians, and those that wish they were.

  • @durdle1701

    That's so true!

I'm from Holland, but I would LOVE to be Irish.

Just because I can't become Irish, I try to feel Irish by listening to music like this. =D

And of course go to festivals in Holland that are promoting this kind of music, and the way of living that comes with it ^^

  • @JollyJumper16 Know that your ancestors traded with the Irish :). This is fact - the Belgae tribe long traded with Pretannic and Irish tribes more than a thousand years ago :).

  • @durdle1701

yeah sadly I am the second one... :)

    Long live ireland.

  • @durdle1701 and i am the irish person i <3 ireland

  • @durdle1701 far to many Irish wannabes in this world jumping on the band wagon of trad music as well.

  • @MrPenfold84 Well they only really have 3 directions to go when it comes to traditional European music sounds. Aside from Ireland, only Germany and Italy have music that is uniquely theirs.

  • @durdle1701 i'm a belgian who spent 3 months in dublin for an internship ;) and i definitely second that good sir !

  • @durdle1701

I wish I was Irish then I have an excuse to get pissed :')

  • Two kind of people in the world, those that are Irish and those that wish they were!

  • @videogamefreak1120 Except Irish people are British as well.

    I think you meant English people;

  • @downbeatpuppet Irish people are Irish. We are in no way British.

  • não irlandês mais adoro a musica irlandesa

  • Fiddle's sound drown the irish flute's sound.

  • @IncredibleTurk Yeah it does, fiddle essentially is masking 60-70% of the flute, pity too as I'm sure the flute deserves to be heard just as much, just a bit of a live recording/mixing error there. Nonetheless, great passage and well played

  • @Con7ent Yeah absoutely I agree with you. as you say , well played. :)

  • It sounds so complicated and fast, but it sounds sooo BRILLIANT! (I can't imagine the pain of those speedy fingers. 0_0)

  • violin is as sexy as a sack o' potaaatoes!

  • @dmsanct you mean... dat dere fiddle is purdier dan a sack o taters?

  • @dmsanct LOLOLOL haha!

  • @dmsanct Hey man.. Not cool. I like my potatoes hot. Just like my violin players ;p

  • @dmsanct personally I am attracted to women, not musical instruments... :p And she is pretty hot in my book.

  • @untamedxxvamp

im sure they could if you practiced.

  • very very good job

  • Absolutely brilliant!! Well done!! =]

  • Superb !!!

  • c'est magnifique, troublant , ca prend au tripes, impossible de rester assis en écoutant ça, encore bravo !

  • woman on fiddle is hot...

  • Yeah, she's also like, 14...

  • @CabbageKitty

Actually this was filmed in 2004 so she's 19.

    you fucking moron

  • @TheStonedSlackerNZ

You think you're so smart. I wasn't talking about how old she is at the present, I know she's 19 at present. You seem to have read the description. Did you see the U15 part? That means "Under 15" as in "under 15 years of age" which means she's (at oldest) 14 IN THE VIDEO.

  • @CabbageKitty Actually she was 13 in that video.

  • BRAVO!

  • Lovely lasses... My O'Brien side of the family would be proud

  • A fantastic duet between these 2 girls, thats how we like to hear them played,..(its very close to the original Cherish the Ladies style of playing) perfect!

  • At first I thought that the volume wasn't high enough on the flute or that it wasn't mic'ed well enough but it is as LacesOutTyler referred more of a mono-harmonic(not sure if there would be a better word for it) problem.

  • God I love being Irish!

  • agreed

  • @chipper30uk Amen!
