@RocMegamanX The only game in the 4 volumes that relies heavily on Japanese text is Cadash, the rest are quite playable and don't require knowing Japanese. The game menus come with a screenshot on the side, so if you play enough Taito arcade games, you'll recognize them all. I had to trade a friend of mine PS 2's so that I could play my 4 volumes, already knew all 100 games on all the volumes. Then again I have played a lot of Taito arcade games over the years.
@RocMegamanX The original prints seem to have jumped in price, the re-issues have as well, but not at the rate the original prints have. Modding a PS 2 would likely be far cheaper than getting a Japanese PS 2.
This is one of those games I like that it seems no one ever talks much about. It's Taito, it's good, and it's a hard one. One day I'd love to score the Mega Drive version since I already have this particular version, but I'm even bad at that version.
@KollisionBR I've noticed a few things absent from the MD version, I didn't see those blue ground enemies on stage 3 in the MD version. There are likely many other differences as well. Some call this a bad shmup, but it's bad enough to actually be good.
I wish I could get both the Taito Memories collections, but I can't speak Japanese nor do I have a modded PS2. :(

@Bloodreign1 If I had enough money to actually buy a Japanese PS2 and the Japanese only Taito collections, then I would buy them.

@Bloodreign1 I have no soldering experience, and I don't actually OWN the PS2 we currently have. Also, warranty.

Does anyone know what happens if you don't beat the last boss of Master of Weapon in time?

This game (Master of Weapon) is also on the Sega Genesis, and if I compare the two, which one would be the easiest?

@torm223300 The Mega Drive version is the easiest game. From what I remember, it's not so freaking hard WITH the exception of the 2nd boss.
