  • used to watch all star wrestling as a kid , have a huge collection of vintage studio matches. have yet to see the taping where Superstar Graham breaks the arm wrestling table over Wahoo Mcdaniels head (around 73) this lead up to the infamous strap match that sold out arenas across the U.S...saw it in Denver

  • Close match! hahaha

  • I once saw Dick the Bruiser vs Ernie Ladd when I was a kid, my parents were big fans...it was in the early seventies...

  • that was an awesome beating,Harmon didn't lay a hand on Dick The Bruiser!

  • Dick the Bruiser, what a Pro Wrestling Heel..WAS !!! Sadly, McMahon ruined Pro wrestling with all the B/S he showcases today. If he were smart, he'd bring back Heel's like...The Bruiser, The Crusher, Nick Bockwinkle, Ivan Koloff---if only to work over jobber's like Tommy Angel, Rene Goulet, Wilbur Snyder. If that took place, bringing back Old School Pro-----I'd pay 100$ to go see shows such as that.....I wouldn't pay 50 cents to see McMahons junk !! R.I.P Bruiser....U were PRO WRESTLING !!!

  • sore dick we we

  • Awesome. Old school wrestling. Hail Dick The Bruiser. RIP.

  • WOW !!! Looked like Dick could have thrown this poor guy out of the building.

    DOT thanks for posting.

  • @RyanIsOffended What was your uncle's name, and what name did he use in the ring? Just curious. I've been watching wrestling since 1969 and more than likely I've heard of him, maybe even seen him work.

  • @RyanIsOffended Hmmm . . . sorry I can't be of any help to you. As you no doubt know, most pro wrestlers use character names and pseudonyms, so unless you are able to give other names for him you may have a rather hard time finding info about him, other than asking him yourself, if that's possible. Best of luck in your search.

  • I don't care who this cat was, Bruiser MURDERED him!

  • I love the way Bruiser yanks this punk around by the hair. I wish Bruiser had put a belly claw on em.

  • Bobby Harmon was actually Beautiful Bobby on the WWE territory....

  • you can really see why evidence why dick the bruiser was so feared for years

  • This match has to be no earlier than 1968 (probably 1970 or 1971). You can tell because Bruiser is being cheered. In 1963 Bruiser was one of the most hated heels in the country.

  • @elc1960 This is 1971,from the Bluff Road channel 4 studio.It's early Sam Menacker,probably around 10/71.

  • This was shortly before Harmon went to WWWF, where he became a lower midcard heel named "Beautiful Bobby". He was managed there by the Grand Wizard and stuck around until Spring 1972. Not sure if he wrestled anywhere else after that. This is the only footage I've ever seen of him on YouTube, BTW. It's said that he was the Wizard's "longtime companion" and that he was with him right up until the Wiz died in 1983. (Hope that wasn't a "tale out of school" but from what I understand it's true.

  • This match was filmed in my living room.

  • @mrentertainment43 Actually it was filmed in your basement.

  • @DotDotkins That's right...I forgot the Iron Sheik changed my furnace filter during the match.

  • @DotDotkins

It was filmed in his mom's basement, next to his bedroom.

  • What most people don't know, is that on the other side of that curtain is an elderly couple having dinner. Come to think of it, it looks like jury duty just gone wild. Cool video!!!

  • Great match ! True to form, Bruiser worked over and punished his opponent, in this case Harmon, to a tee. Loved seeing Harmon's hair flit in the air every time Bruiser landed a shot. Then to have him hold Harmon by the hair and land a hoot to his chest.....True Bruiser tactics. A boot to the chest and the pin.You were the Best Bruiser.

  • Dick the Bruiser was the precursor to Stone Cold working as a babyface but wrestling like a heel.

  • He's Stone Colds daddy! LOL

  • @samsdaddy0525 that's because people were too scared of him to hate him

    lol

  • This is from 1971 at WTTV studio in Indianapolis, probably October. You have the transition team of Sam Menacker and Chuck Marlowe, as Marlowe was faded out. Any more of this footage?

  • @wwahc1964 I would agree with you on the date and location. This would be from Bruiser's WWA promotion, which was associated with the AWA. My first memories of wrestling was watching the matches from Market Square Arena and Fort Wayne War Memorial Coliseum on Saturdays. Sam Menacker was classic!!

  • Great Video! Thanks DotDotkins!

  • bobby harmon was my grandfather!

  • I saw Bobby wrestle several times at Detroit 's Cobo Arena about 1970. He was on Big Time Wrestling alot . Thanks

  • Great squash thanks for this precious gem DotDotkins!

  • This was AWESOME! Thanks for posting.

I thought it was interesting that the AWA matches were taped in color way back in 1963.

Color TV shows were rare back then, even on the three major networks.

  • I suspect the year given in this video is incorrect. A lot of the dates given in these AWA videos is quite often wrong.

  • Thanks Dot. That explanation makes sense. If I recall correctly, I think even most network shows were in B&W in 1963.

  • This was WWA
