Can you mention what operating system you use? It worked for me on Windows XP. I once tried it on Windows Vista, but I don't remember how it behaved because I used a computer that wasn't mine.
You may also want to check your technical specifications.
It says in the CD case that the Customer Support Tool requires Windows 2000 Professional SP4, Windows XP Home Edition SP2, or Windows XP Professional SP2.
I don't know if Vista has this, but you can try setting the software executable to be compatible with Windows XP.
You may want to try that by right-clicking on the executable file, click Properties, and find the thing that allows you to reverse compatibility with earlier versions of Windows.
