Ok, the 2 bug ams deliver 0.05% THD at 1100 watts per channel, the 2 smaller anps deliver 0.05% THD at 200 watts X8
The 2 cd changers st right up against the box and they NEVER skip.
I built the box in such a way that it doesn't breath and to proove that I set a glass of water in the box and played a bass sweep freq. and of course I had to hold the glas.
My system is now in a 2004 Jeep Grand Chwerokee Laredo but when it was in my 89 I blew the back window out.''
you dont realize apparently that having everything exposed undermines the acoustics and that your missing out on the potential for near perfect sound by not having focal speakers in your car!
it's kinda clean but it aint nicest enough to win iasca i don't think, the center channel is weird, the stacked amps are kinda nice, but the connectors in the rear of your setup look like shit, especially the ones that go to the crossovers which are mounted on the sub box for some reason, the epic 160 it looked like under the dash, is really unnecessary, and is not accurate at all, i'd change a bunch of things, but i'm sure it sounds alright
This install looks like crap. I can understand getting SPL rather then score or qualify for IASCA. Who puts tweeters on they're pillars away from your mids and midbass. That speaker setup in the console is rediculous, booooo
screw the haters man you did a nice install its clean it is more dependable these guys that talk trash about hitting 160 db and stuff blow thru subs and amps like nothing cause they still have mommy and daddy buying there trash plus you did your install on your own thats more than they can say.. but you could really turn heads if you just updated your system to the new model amps and subs maybe pop a couple more trophies onto the shelf and sound quality is what its all about man!! good job man!
Yeah well I used to do this type of work on high dollar cars like Lambroghinis, Porches, Ferrari's so I know enough about safety, each switch controls a relay that turns the power on and it's fused so no chance of a fire here. :)
Well I installed the switches so I could dial in my system before competition. One switch controls the mid and high amps and the other controls the sub amps. Why is it a bad idea having switches?
Well I'm going to this years spring break nationals at the Ocean Center so come and hear it then. If you want me to record it then upload it here that does no justice at all.
i totally get you bro, i was drunk when i made thi comment lol, but to be honest, thats impressive to it that with only 1500watts, i have a house system, i hit 143.5 with 3 15s and 10s, not even totally powering the subs really much, yet i get more sound clarity then spl, @ same time i can make it vice versa
i also would rather hit herts, wiring subs very low ohmage, onlky about 1000, thats all which i would need, i get you though, good setup man
Nice. I'm an SQ guy also. Nothing like a clean install in a daily driver that can blow out most SPL cars on the road and still hear everything else crystal clear. Nothing against SPL, it's fun and I still like it. I've installed several SQ systems and noone really thought it was loud untill I mic'd one for them and it was 149dB. (2 tweets, 2 6.5 mids, 2 12's (500w @ 4 ohm), 750w total), all speakers were eclipse, amps were JL.
I really like the install, I haven't really gotten into SQ mostly SPL. But it looks really clean. I have an Eclipse 4 Channel like those. Like same model design but 4 channel. Works really well. Pushes my 4 Pioneer Premier REV 6x9's very well. Gets hot though.
Well, I have shown my system and also had two judges scoring it for sound quality for 6 years now and if you've ever heard of IASCA (International Auto Sound Competition Association) they're one of the largest organizations in the world and they've awarded me 5 trophies each year I compete at the spring break nationals at The Ocean Center in Daytona Beach. I have 2 1st place, 1 2nd, 1 4th and 1 5th. If you'd care for a picture ofr them I can send you one.
Sure as lonh as there's enough air spoace for amp cooling, besides I have 4 tubular type fans but I'll need to have then on a seperate switch or else I lose points for background noise this way I can cut them off. But I've had them mounted this way for 6 yrs. and no problems so.

great system bro did you hear about eclipse shutting down shop when it comes to car audio
but my hole family is in car audio and thats all really good shit
the older car audio is better then the new car audio trust me
eclipse went from japan to china so older is better
rockford went from USA to china
apine went from japan to china
kicker went from USA to China
see old is better
