    1 -- The Beatles

    1' -- Elvis Presley

  • BEATLES CAN'T BE 3# !!!! JUST CAN'T !!!!! BOB DYLAN ARE WITHOUT DOUBT WORSE THAN BEATLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEATLES FORVER BOB FORNEVER!

  • U2 should be top ten, they stole the 80's

  • @blue2heeler3 i didnt say that. but how can you make a top 10 with bob #9? and the only really important reggae musicians are bob marley, gregory isaacs and dennis brown.

  • Michael Jackson # 47? he should have been in the top 15

  • Stevie Wonder shoulda been higher... like waaayyy higher. In the top 10 atleast. and IMO James Brown is better than Elvis anyday

  • @blue2heeler3 are you stupid?bob is much better than his kids.

  • the beatles, number 3 BLASPHEMY

  • YES, i fucking love Bob Dylan, no question about it he is the best ever. Far and away the best song-writer and he has well over 150 songs to his credit that can be called at least very good. In addition to this he can be linked to more great songs than any other artist because he had so many songs that where covered by other artists such as All Along the Watchtower. Not to mention that he is tied with Hendrix and Lou Reed for coolest people on this list.

  • Ur missing so many bands, Rainbow, Weezer, Pink Floyd, Heart, METALLICA, sex pistols,

  • obviously some big names on here, But I cannot give creditability to any list that does not put Elton John in the top 50 artists of all time. He is the number 1 solo artist of all time, so how can he not make the list. I guess once he is retired or dead, people will finally appreciate all of his accomplishments.

  • Michael at 47? What the fuck is this.. and where is pac? Getrreal I know the world of hiphop will be mad at you for this. And king of pop...wow

  • how do u not have the greatest hip-hop artist of all time on here? 2pac....

  • @Ilikebrettfavre I really hate people like u. You think Nirvana should be in the top 10 just because of Kurt Cobain. That is the dumbest reason ever. Im gonna be honest, Nirvana had some good songs but I really don't think they should be in a 50 greatest artists list. People only respect them so much just because Kurt is dead and that's true no matter what anyone says.

  • this list is for english and america music, also is containing mainly rock and hard rock artists, where are the bee gees abba beatles separetly, charles aznavour gipsy kings los paraguayos status quo edith piaf, nat king cole, many pop artists missing and classical, instead you put some freaky bands

  • Michael Jackson number 47 come on man

  • rush/michael jackson over megadeth?

  • @codywankanobee i mean rush/michael jackson over iron maiden

  • WTF! You didn't put caveman with stick? He made the first song, instrument, band, drum, musical note, concert etc. Why isn't he on the list?

  • great list buddy but i was very dissapointed not to see frank sinatra or tool

  • deep purple #50?

iron maiden #49?? come on dude...

  • At least you remembered the most under rated group ever....the KINKS.....the clash arent higher in my list......the who arent higher in my list....the kinks should be TOP TEN for sure.....check out their body of work, of which they wrote over 550 songs

  • yea ur list was fuckin perfect... and michael jackson wasnt the greatest entertainer this world has ever seen

  • WHERE THE FUCK IS GENISIS ON YHAT LIST!!!!!!!and the moody blues should have at least been on the top 20

  • I think you should have mentioned more pop artists because pop music always was the most influential musical genre. I do not mean modern pop trash, I mean pop of the 70's, 80's and 90's. It's Madonna, Whitney Houston, George Michael, Tina Turner. And where is Aerosmith???

  • @irina1296 Ehm... Mina?

  • where the hell is AC/DC?? they put fucking iron maiden before sabbath, thats fucking retarded. and i think nirvana should be top 10, kurt cobain was an amazing person

  • Michael Jackson misses

  • good artists but some of this is crazy like "blur" being above those lol

  • Leyendary

  • How do you NOT have the Beatles at number one? Zepplin over the Beatles? WHAT!? DYLAN AT ONE!? Dylan is good, great even. But he can't sing like the beatles could. You take any of them and they had a complete one man band there.

    Not bad over all though.

  • Beatles aren't that good. I personally don't like the Beatles.

  • Aren't that good? Check out the album 1. It's not their best songs but it's titled so because each of the 27 were number 1 singles. That's not good then I'd love to see bad.

  • Metallica is better for many reasons, they started a new sound, Beatles just continued a sound. Metallica is the only band, besides dave mathews, to have 5 number 1 albums in a row, Beatles did not do that. I am not saying the Beatles are bad, they are good, just not as good as other bands

  • fuck you !!The beatles have sold over a Billion Albums, metalica have only sold like 100 million albums, even the beatles rock band has sold more than metallica

  • I'm entitled to an opinion without someone saying "fuck you" It is an opinion, nothing to get personal, or angry about, but one thing to add to metallica/Beatles is that metallica had a concert in tushino field 2,500,000 people! that is the highest gathering of a group of people in HISTORY. That is hard, and unlikely to beat

  • @Broganvoip Metallica's nothing compared to the Beatles

  • Totally agree with you. I never liked the Beatles either. There are so many artists that are equally good or even better than the Beatles.

  • wow man nice insult! your amazing at that shit! no...not really...your insults are shit..."fuck your pedophile mother"? what the fuck grow up man

  • sorry, but they are "stars" overnight in my opinion.look at lionel richie, stevie wonder..michael jackson, acdc, nirvana.that's music!

  • Ramones before Deep Purple and Iron Maiden? Nothing against Ramons. but that's a no. I say no. Definitely a no. GeorgVanHalen says no.

  • eric clapton 21 thats crazy he should be in top 15 or top 10.. but good list

  • Where are ACDC or Metallica?

    Well, a good list though

  • acdc sucks

  • excellent list, better than mine i think

  • best list i have seen on youtube... mine is very similar why dont you give it a watch? Dylan is easily number 1!!!

  • Oh yeah, Dylan is so easily #1! The Beatles I expected to be first, so I'm satisfied with this list.

  • I totally agree with you with Chuck Berry, Bob Dylan and Simon & Garfunkel, all such great artists!!!

  • #45, woooooooo!

    Go Johnny!

  • Indeed,You made a stupendious list of your choices of the best artists! What i thought was most auspacious about this list is you didnt go with the beatles as number one just to get the people on your side like most tend to do!This is quite a well balaced and talented bunch,Great job on the list!

  • fallout boy rule them all!!!!!

  • Ha ha, such bullshit^^

  • fuck no they dont

  • Wait theres more... I'd have to think those unmentioned bands I just listed would be above pretentious bands like Radiohead, Oasis, Blur, The Ramones. Chuck Berry may be high up on the Influence list but all his songs sound the same. If you put in guys like Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard and Bo Diddly lets go back and grab Woody Guthrie, Leadbelly, and what the heck, Jimmie Rodgers in his heyday of 1929. Good effort though. It should get people thinking of who and where they rank theirs.

  • As entertaining as this list was it was all over the place with no rhyme or reason. James Brown- yeah he was a great dancer, but right there with Elvis and better than Pink Floyd? Led Zep #2 ? Their songs have not aged well.Dylan could be #1 but so could Pink Floyd, Beatles, Elvis. Different types. Sam Cooke had like 2 albums and he's above Ray Charles? Where's Frank Sinatra, The Eagles,Jethro Tull, Willie Nelson, Steely Dan, Fleetwood Mac, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Alice Cooper,Tom Petty etc etc....

  • @Jethro719 Mina, Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald

This ranking is very subjective and mostly male... xD
