  • This further proves that genesis does, what nintendon't /:)

  • i dont think the story sounds bad, its as good as one could be for that scenario, but the game not so much, also cant play as terminator

  • Well the story basicly covers the plot of the comic book (written by Frank freaking Miller and art by Walt "Thor" Simonson).

And the comic book was good.

And the Snes version, believe it or not, is inferiour to the Genesis version.

The Genesis RvT had better gameplay and gore (there was even a code for more gore). The comic book cutscenes were omitted, which is a good thing, because the art looks crappy (not even close to Simonson) and the story is like fools naration.

  • Did the review stop? I fall sleep in the middle.

  • Nice job Mickey, I hope you can take this sugguestion and talk louder and clearer, make sure the audience doesn't see the review... make them feel the review. ok? nice.

  • opening music = win

  • sucks on snes! bloody good time on sega though.

  • I liked this game as a kid.

  • Fucking hell Mickey, were you on smack when you read out the script? You sound way too chilled out.

  • I thought the game was really fun back in the day, who cares about the story and premise.

  • The biggest disappointment for me was the fact that you HAD to play as Robocop, me and all my friends wanted to play as the Terminator.

  • fuck yeah

  • In all honesty, how hard is it to put some energy into your voice presentation when you're not on camera Mickey? You sound like you're half asleep dude, not dissing your review but even a piece of crap gave deserves more of an effort.

  • Mega Drive version is far superior to this.

  • Hey guys, it's nice to see a REAL review(retro)instead of this Xbox360 crap I mean what is up with the games from today It seems that it's all about the graphics while leaving gameplay at a distant second sometimes worse. There are exceptions of course ie Guitar Hero. That is why I like the games of old. The gameplay was almost always rock solid as anyone could pick up and play Who needs storyline when you got kick ass games like Contra.

This Robocop doesn't look all that bad, looks contra-ish

  • 8th JK

  • Um... you didn't really explain why you didn't like the game. The premise scared you away? Are you kidding? What's the gameplay like? The graphics? The music? The controls?

Maybe you should stick with 8-bit gaming after-all.

  • It's because it is the Snes version he played. The Genesis version is way better. Go watch the RetroWare TV episode about it to find out more.

  • what a concept!!

  • I have this for the Genesis, it is by FAR the most violent videogame I have ever played, beating even GTA: San Andreas. When you shoot someone, they don't die so-much as turn into a soup and explode. the music is average, and the graphics are ok, but the gameplay is ass. They don't even have a storyline in my version.

  • I had this game. Never could beat the level where there's a green factory or somethin, and there were a lot of robots. Still it's awesome. Thanks TheGameHeroes!

  • Aw, you used the censored version of the game :(

Still gotta say that it was a much better game than Robocop 3 on the SNES though. Though ironically the Amiga version of Robocop 3 is one of the most overlooked classics in years! AWESOME game!

  • Awesome. I love the Classic Game reviews. =D Been quite a while since the last! Great timing, and great review.
