Correct me if I am wrong but, doesn't Caesar stop attacking you and your favour rise if you are able to fend him off 3 times? I seem to remember that or am I mistaken?

@lobbotekka2019 No Caesar wouldn't stop attack you after 3rd time. He will continue attack you endless. The only the way to stop attack - to increasing his favour by satisfying his needs or paying to him a present.

@LIEBMEIN go to the panel "Senate" click on "army status" then, you'll have 3 options on each of your cohorts: go to the screen where soldiers of this cohort are now being, order: go to the fort, and order: "Imperial serve ". Click on the cohorts which you want to send for Caesar - be warned: to small army will not stand against the enemy, to big army - which you will send will make your city vulnerable for the attacks of barbarians. Then: go to Caesar panel: and click: "send army"

anyone know how to import oil and clay without going broke? I had like 8 furniture workshops and still had stacks and stacks of timber sitting in warehouse. However much I sell I just turn import on for a minute and i go broke. Confused. Also forgot how to use ballistas on a tower like this :(

if you put 6 academy trained legions in square formation in the same place, with all battle standards one over the other, you can actually defeat this enemy with no casualties at all, or at least one or two soldiers dead.

Played this level today. I don't use soldiers as much as you do. I block the entrances I don't want them to enter and make a "maze" of towers which usually kill so many that the sonofabitches bail out

This was my faviorte battles with Hannibal because of the Elephants that I just Slautred like flies!!!!!

There is a way to defeat Hannibal that results in 0 casualties. I use a similar method but I have built bridges and gatehouses in the north. I use the javelin throwers to lead Hannibal's troops across the bridges onto the small islands. This creates a set of choke points that is perfect for ranged fighters but makes infantry useless. The javelin throwers fall back leading them to the city gates where I have a road system filled with Gladiators and Lion Tamers which I use as a defensive line

@bad4ever2001 Nevermind, figured it out. You gotta have ppl in the city first for the reseviors to work. But GAD DAMMIT, those wolves! They ate everyone! >_< How do you counter them early?

@bad4ever2001 Slow the game down or pause it when you start the scenario. The wolves are in the top right hand corner of the screen. Wall them in and when you get a legion of Javelin throwers send them to stand outside the walls and they will automatically kill the wolves.

Very nice city, and excellent income, but you should play on much harder difficulty, Hannibals army is supposed to be much bigger and on the hardest difficulty its HUGE.

Always one of my favourite missions! Allows some great tactical maneuvres, especially if you build towers on the rock plateau. And then nothing two or three legions with three or four javelin groups behind them. :-)

Dude awesome tactic of using the ranged to slowly fall back while weakening Hannibal's army. they didnt attack directly so there were low casualties. you even used them to attack their flanks to cover the other group falling back. you even made it like 300 where u funnel them into a small opening. and if they pushed u back far eneough they would have to go through the arrows xD haha that was pretty epic.

awesome times in caesar III. i wonder if i can do that for caesar IV =)

the key to beat hannibal army in this level is..built more javelin squads than the infantry..and lot of towers...ooo...u'll need to build more Temple of Mars!!..and make large festivals for mars....Mars will kill half of your enemies in a Blink!!!...this will give u more time to build your army!!...

There is a trick! The souds and FX efects - are not correctly starting in the same time shown. It seems that sound were falcificated:)))
