I live in Missouri as well . My grandpa and aunt live close to the Missouri river and it floods the basment. You kind of learn to live with it and take as it comes.
ahh i live in poplar bluff to but i live on a big hill and just got lots of rain. you shoulda got pics of the country side man my uncles huse was under water completly
Looks neat. Hope they made it out. I would not advise anybody to help, they could face legal problems abd fines. The government doesn't want you to help.
I live in poplar bluff and i know how you feel i live over close to foodrite not that far from Riggs and i really thought that my me, and my wife and 3 kids would have to evacuate and go somewhere else
I don't know if you know if you know Jonathan Agee but I'm his girlfriend and we went to Missouri about a week after that happened and I couldn't believe that happened! I hope you and your family are ok and good luck to all the others that went through this disaster.
Mrs.Warren! this was a really good idea of you to put this on here im sorry I am just now commenting but I was really busy since you showed this to us in class! SORRY! Did your house get any flooding? Mine didn't luckily I live on the very top of a hill! well I will see you on monday!
im from the hazelwood area and the last bad flood we had was in '93. no offense, but i do feel that the urgency in which missouri got response almost the next day from an unexpected flood is amazing compared to 2 1/2 years down in new orleans from a known hurricane. most will argue that a hurricane is much worse than just flooding but i think you see my point...
Thanks for the video! I've been in SC for a few years now but was born and raised in Poplar Bluff. Graduated in '97, and have worked at both Rowe and Briggs. My prayers go out to my home city and my friends and family there!
Actually that isn't a barn. The picture is a little blurry, but it's a shop building in a junk yard. All the pictures were taken in Poplar Bluff, Missouri
Former MO resident and former proud Briggs employee . . . thanks for posting this. Does anyone know of any damage to the BAS plant there? God Bless Pop Bluff, good folks, you don't deserve this.
Wow! I'm from Poplar Bluff. I graduated from H.S. in 1977. I can't believe how bad the floods are there. My friend lives on the South Side down by the river. I'll have to call and see if he's flooded out. Thanks for posting this video
this is why you don't build on floodplains.....

Most of Poplar Bluff is built on hills, its mainly the lower parts between the hills and east end that gets flooded.

Its sad that the entire lousianna purchase is flooded out. If this problem was solved in Iowa, none of these other states would of been effected.
