Wow, this was great! These classic platformers are so much fun to watch when they're TASed! By the way, are the green banana bonus games random? Did you have to keep retrying until the locations of the green bananas saved the most time?
@kitfisto99 Many people ask me questions via comments about the TASes I upload. The problem is that I'm not Dooty, Electrospecter, or Tompa. I am Brandon Evans, and although I do TAS (One published, one about to be submitted, one just begun), I didn't actually make this TAS. I just encoded this in HD so the run could get more publicity. The authors of this particular TAS should be very easy to contact if you go to TASVideos.
@kitfisto99 Well, even if I didn't run this, I can explain the randomness to some extent. Random doesn't exist in computers. If the location of the green bananas are "random", then their positions can be manipulated by some outside variable. This could be based on what time you entered an area, what input you've put in, how many points you have, etc. Trying the same thing over and over again, as you suggest, would always yield the same result. That said, I've never actually played this game. :P
@kitfisto99 Thus far, we don't know how the green bananas work. It is sometimes possible to manipulate them by changing x and y positions, but this doesn't work in all bonus levels. Sometimes entering the actual bonus earlier or later changes the placement. We really can't force them to appear where we want very well though. In short, it's a nightmare, and 75% of what makes running this game so difficult.
@BrandMan211 No problem! Awesome job with the encode, by the way, I've heard that the DKC games are notoriously difficult to encode well because of the colors.

@IAmElectrospecter I hear that, but I just use the same method as I do for any other game, and it tends to work out well consistently.
