People in the English speaking part of the world are not required to know Japanese and Hungarian and Thaiwanise and... The kids want to know what the song is about...so songs get translated into English. It became an international language as did French and German.

While the version isn't terribly beautiful in English, it is something that the kids can sing and understand.

I don't know why everyone is complaining that the song's in English. It was translated into six different languages besides English, and did anyone really think that a song sung in Romanian was going to become a hit in English-speaking countries where hardly anyone speaks Romanian? No. So they recorded an English version in the hopes of becoming successful in those countries. It makes sense. And stop blaming Americans. There are several other countries that speak English as a primary language.

@vida238770 that's because he used the well-known Numa Numa line, which is totally misinterpreted by the non-Romanian speakers and only appears in the original Ro version and in the workout remix entirely by Prata in English X( it is actually "nu mă, nu mă iei", which means "not me, not me Take" (The whole line is "You wanna leave but not take me, not take me").

And for all those convinced otherwise, the band O-Zone is from Moldova and they all speak Romanian AND Russian. Word.
