nope. Thats simply not true. It would have to go at like 4000-6000refs to reach that speed which would probably both blow engine and transmission. BMW won`t have a problem with 7000 refs. There are three reasons for using big engines.
1. GM and other American brands don`t build and engineer engines very well. Volkswagen gets 177HP(!!) out of a 1,4l engine, Audi gets 255HP out of 2,0l.
2. The big engine use less thing...if u go a maximum of 120km/h on a highway with cruise control on it may
work BUT if u drive it on an Autobahn or in the city speeding up etc u are going to burn way more and it ads up to a worse fuel mileage.
3. Clueless Americans and low gas prices. People don`t even know that a ton of european and especally german cars with 2,0l engines outperform their GMs & Chevys with 3,5-4,5l gas guzzlers.

so im not taking any sides.
but there is no way that truck beat the m3. and no offense. but compare ford to any foreign car..look at the engine size, then look at the engine power. ford may be durable but there engines really suck compared to other car companies. for example, mustangs have 4.6l V8 (correct me if im wrong) and my 328i will smoke it and it has a 3.0l V6

nope gotta stop you there, a diesel doesn't rev that high unless its been modified, and anyways diesels are perfect for racing because they're over built, everything in them is tougher than gas engines. a gas engine of the same size is considerably lighter, thats why when people race diesels they only build from the heads up.

the diesel has more than twice the torque of the M3 first of all. second he was probably in 4 wheel drive and he built enough boost for a good launch. third, you dont have to mod these trucks ridiculously to make them fast. he might have a close axle ratio as well allowing for higher acceleration. i think either way he would of beat the M3. ive seen stuff like this in person.

Have you even heard an M3? First of all, they sound like shit! Second, they are pretty damn loud from factory! I would have been able to atleast hear it a little! And he is the one closer to the camera. And how do you know the diesel is straight piped? Sounds like every other diesel to me. Ive heard a diesel NOT str-piped on full throttle.... and you can't hear ANYTHING over that.
Bottom line, torque will get you off the line faster, and i wouldn't doubt if that ford has 2x the torque and Hp that the m3 does. Those trucks are meant to haul ass...while hauling 6 tons of cargo on a trailer!

i love ford and bmw. i have a 328i and my dad has and F-350.
so im not taking any sides.
but there is no way that truck beat the m3. and no offense. but compare ford to any foreign car..look at the engine size, then look at the engine power. ford may be durable but there engines really suck compared to other car companies. for example, mustangs have 4.6l V8 (correct me if im wrong) and my 328i will smoke it and it has a 3.0l V6

oh damn. i didnt realize i put v6. but even if that 350 is modded there is no way that it would out run an m3 like that. you would have to do a shit load of modifications to that truck cause my dads trucks is fairly slow off the line, well it slow in general. i wouldnt even think about beaten a m3 in it.

not necessarily, a stock 350 picks up nearly 200 hp with a 400$ programmer. My cousin has a similar set up and if he has a chance to get his boost up he can beat nearly anything off the jump.
