My VFC-motor broke down after one year. So i put a Dboys-Motor in it (about 10€ ) which is working great (together with a mosfet and a 12V battery).

Because I wanted to switch out the motor for an AMP High-Torque since the gears are normal ratio.....I hear that VFC internals are similar to CA, which some people think is bad (they could be better FOR THE MONEY, but still very functional). I heard a lot of rumors, that VFC internals often break, but it was always about the hk416. My AKS works for about 2 years without problems. The gears even took some serious stresses due to a shimming fault in the first weeks (bevel gear slammed against spur gear two times, but no marks of damage). Even today the gears look great, the piston also shows almost no deformation.

I can tell you, this thing did not break anywhere. Once i fell into a foxhole with it, the stock then wobbled a lot, but i could turn it back to normal with a hammer in no time. Although i think that Type56 from Real Sword is also very sturdy. VFC got better construction though.

It is really not bad, due to the fact that just as on the VFC all metal parts except for the outer Barrel are made of steel. But the finish on the gun did not completely satisfy me. The wood has improved though and it is nearly as good as on the VFC.

Dboys is good. Just get a Systema HopUp - Bucking and you're fine. VFC is really expensive, Dboys is a copy of VFC, so you get the same contruction with a bit lower quality materials, but overall it is as sturdy as VFC. (stock is even better)

Shooting in prone position is comparable to G36 with standard sights, which has an almost similar distance between sights and magazine bottom. I am in prone position really often (check my woodland-videos) and have no problems. If you are in a proper prone shooting position, you see that the magazine is short enough.

Yep, all VFC AK are pretty much like that one. Shorter barrel means lower range, that should be clear.

The pistol grip is not so sturdy.I changed mine with a Dboys-Grip, which is much better.

There are no 74 type metal mags. We only showed the mag you get, if you buy this gun. I prefer GP mags, they feed better. But the 47-type metal mags also fit (although that wouldn't be realistic.)

Its the VFC AKS 74n AK means automatic kalashnikov and the S means it has foldable stock. 74 stands for 1974 the year its produced for the first time and N stands for Nightvision describing the optic rail but its not only for night vision u can add anything else u want like red dot. and this AEG is on of the best i tell ya ;)
