I not sure if this car is an 8 speed transmission equip vehicle. The SRT8 only come with the old 5 speed transmission. I'm still waiting for the new transmission to and hemi marriage.
That's a 5-Speed. The 8 is only on the Pentastar's right now. They haven't built one ti handle the HP and Torque of the 6.4L, or the 5.7L for that matter. They won't be around for another year or two.
Unfortunately the 8 speed auto isn't in the SRT8 yet, but there are rumors it will come with next year's SRT8 models. The non-SRT models of the 300 lineup have the 8 speed automatic right now though. As well, I'm pretty sure a couple of asian cars had an 8 speed auto before this car came out.
This isn't the first car in the world with an 8 speed, Audi BMW Jaguar etc all are already using this same transmission from ZF. Also this SRT8 in the video doesn't have an 8 speed, you can tell by looking at the shifter....it's the 5 speed. They still have not released the 8 speed for any of the V8's, only the pentastar V6 has it so far. Supposedly the V8's will get it later in 2012 probably as a 2013 model.
Only thing not to like is the PRICE. Motor Trend said that as soon as they get the 8 speed in the SRT8 it will truly become a WORLD SUPERCAR. SWEET!!!

Thats not an 8 speed auto, Its the traditional 5 speed. You can tell by the shifter.

This is a 5 speed, automatic transmission, please rename your video. The only Chrysler 300 with an 8 speed is the 3.6L V6.

Great looking cruiser. On the window sticker I think it said 32 mpg. Would that be Imperial or American gallons?
