@jkeil11 It was first shown in Uru I believe, but a bit better explained in Myst 5. Yeesha is this prophesized "grower" person, capable of doing things like that to herself and other people (and also moving through time and space?). Esher (the old guy at the beginning of this video) has a cloth on his shoulder with a marking, which I think is actually the skin of those Bahro creatures, so it somehow gives him similar but more limited powers.
the only thing that turns me off about the myst games is the fact the movment is not in real time but i guess thats what realmyst is for
