the 1st sapphire cosworths was RWD just under 1400 was made in RWD they came without the bonnet vents, have a T5 borg waner gearbox not the MT75 thats in the 4x4's and are ½ a second faster to 60 then the 4x4's.

Drag racing in the USA-there are a lot street legal (American)cars that can beat this car. American V8's are very reliable and inexpensive to modify. Does it make small displacement cars bad? No. What it comes down to is speed. An STS tt Z06 will beat this car, doesn't make Sierra a bad car. Btw we keep the turbo's out the engine compartment (aftermarket turbo kit). Look up STS turbo. Uh oh, I like the ZO6 and Sierra, room in the world 4 both cars.

These Cosworths have the same motor as the american Ford Ranger. A 2.9L V6. Need I emphasize the V6 part of that. The cosworth makes more horsepower stock then the Ranger. All of the European Fords that have ever left the factory with a Cosworth badge on it (Sierra 3dr, Sierra Saphire and Escort) have all had pretty much the same engine in them, which is a Cosworth built2.0 16 valve turbo thats loosely based on Fords Pinto engine.
