  • When Blake "was" on form he could handle the best of them. His game matched up well to Nadal because he hits pretty flat and hard (think of Soderling and Delpo). Also he has a solid strong backhand so Nadal wasn't hurting him there.

  • Fair play to Blake, he taps his racket when Nadal hits a good shot past him. Great player and great companionship.

  • Blake has such beautiful top-spin lobs.

  • Blake could have been number 1 if it wasnt for his injury and family problems.

  • @IndianTejb not no.1 but yea i think he wudve been winning a slam or 2

  • BLAKE IS PLAYING GOOD JUST HAVE TO CLOSE IT OUT

  • Blake is starting to die off and he could easily be in the top 10. He should have won this match but like always he's to hard on himself so he lost the match

  • first of all this is on hardcourt which aides blake and is a disadvantage to nadal. Second, Blake is streaky...one match he will play amazing and then lose to a qualifier the next match

  • This was a big win for Nadal because Blake had beaten him the first three times they had played.

  • i first was surprised why rafa always is so emotional when he wins from blake, but then did some research and found out blake said a few things in the past about nadal. one of it was the ridiculous claim of blake that roddick was the second best grass player in the world lolll. nadal is almost the best grass player and he still dared to say that, so no wonder these 2 hate eachother.

  • @nanananalalala

....when did Blake say that? If it was before Nadal had made it to the final, then it was probably true.

  • @TrolloftheTube he said it in 2009 which is why its so ridiculous

  • @nanananalalala

Oh...hmm. Well, I have no comment, at least, not until I see them play each other on grass. But I find it hard to believe, seeing as Federer is the best grass player, and Nadal has beaten him on the surface before.

  • @TrolloftheTube loll until u see them play eachother on grass? dude nadal has won 2 wimb titles and roddick none. the only thing that can stop nadal from winning more wimb titles is either his knees again or god loll. while roddick should be thankin god if he even makes another wimb semi or final. but then again when i saw ur profile i finally understood why u would say something like that. only fed fan can say things like that.

enjoy the semis and final of the us open.

  • @nanananalalala

I'll have you know, the last time I voted for Federer in a match was Wimbledon 2008, and the only reason I voted for him THEN, was because I was sorry for him after that humiliation at the French Open.

I'm currently hoping both Federer and Nadal go out in the Semis today. haha.

  • @TrolloftheTube likewise fed has beaten the king of clay on clay thats no really a valid point fed has beatean nadal more times on clay than nadal has on grass and battle of the sufaces don't count that court was neither a clay or grass court and you merge the two surfaces together you get a slow surface that obviously favours nadal

  • Davydenko also has a winning record against Nadal.

  • why does nadal just look so cool?

  • @stevehwan cause you are gay?

  • why isnt blake winning more tournaments

  • @baseliner52094 injuries and bad draws (early round exits to nadal 2 times , 1 to murray last year, and australian open 2010 to delpo)

  • @baseliner52094

    injury.

  • @baseliner52094 the only reason is roger federer

  • That blake guy is one of two people with a winning record against Rafa

  • Really?Who is the second?Nalbandian?Del Potro?What is their bilance now?Thx.

  • Yeah the second is Nalbandian, although Del Potro might have now

  • @93RastafarianPikachu not anymore. Now it's 4-3 in nadal's favor

  • nadal is the best okey bitches?!!

  • fuck you mother fucker

  • Lol until his knees gave way for a little and let fed win 2 slams so he gets to soak up all the glory for a couple of months

  • @cj397 Ha-ha! Lucky for Nadull that Delpo is out for an year so he can win the USO. Soak up some of the glory. Delpo is back now so he better run for the woods.

  • @Ignozi i know cant wait for delpo to come back and be a force in the game again

  • @Ignozi WELL , NADAL smashed Delpo in straight sets at the indian wells tournament last month . As for nadal's luck , it's not as amazing as federer's at the french in 2009 . Joke draw to the semis and he was super lucky in his match with haas when haas was 2 games away from beating fed in straight sets and he made

three errors at 40-30 four games all . Also he didn't face nadal or djoko .

  • @soydeespana Not a joke draw.

A very serious challenge from Haas and Delpo.

He overcame the opponents to win the FO.

Nadal was injured so I doubt he would have made much of an impact. Soderling proved that.

Del Potro is looking good on his comeback trail and I expect a VERY interesting USO this year.

  • @Ignozi maybe but you can't deny that federer was lucky in the haas match . you said that nadal was lucky cuz delpo didn't play in last year's us open . And even if he played that event maye he would've been destroyed by nadal , nadal was in a very ruthless form in that tournament. so federer needed more luck than nadal to win the career slam . You should give nadal the credits that he desereves . Also delpo isn't as good as nadal or djoko on clay .

  • hahaha

  • Blake moved forward late when he was receiving at the last point so he got aced...

  • no, nadals serve looked like it was going out but since he's lefty, it curved in the last moment near the end of the service box

  • Nadals hair is longer.

  • P.S: My message is for stealthpkfa.

  • blake friken rocks

  • fuck u mother fucker

  • you motherfucker ! James is the nicest guy on the ATP tour and he's very talented. You pollute tennis videos with all your commentaries against Federer (and Blake too), you prick !

  • Wahey, finally something nice about Blake! A true gent

  • i think its mroe of a psychological factor, 4 some reason blake has a massive mental block when it comes to grandslams that causes him to lose against players he shouldnt lose to

  • Well, you can't blame him for his QF loses at the '06 US Open and '08 Aus Open to Roger Federer. Fed pretty much steam rolls Blake everytime.

Heck, even his QF loss to Agassi in the '05 US Open (where Andre reached the final) and 4th rnd loss to Gonzo in the '07 Aus Open (where Gonzo reached the final!) are nothing to be ashamed about.

Blake's either lost to the real in-form player, or the player who performs especially well at a particular Slam.

Then again, Blake is a choker...

  • why is blake a choker?

  • I dunno... Blake just doesn't handle the big moments all that well. I think he becomes a little overwhelmed by them.

In my opinion, he doesn't have that self belief that he can actually win a Slam or even a Masters Series event.

  • he´s made finals of masters series events, but roger shut the door on him all the times..as for grand slams, well..I think it´s an overwhelming ocassion for every player, even roger says he get´s shaky and nervous at slams, even though he does a hell of a job not showing it, with that poker face of his..

  • I totally agree.

Poor ol' Blake had to take on Fed in all of the big finals that he's reached (Indian Wells '06, Tennis Masters Cup '06 and Cincinatti '07).

And we know Blake's a terrible match up for Fed. What's he managed against Fed, 1 set?

I guess it's another case of, "Well if Roger wasn't around..." lol

  • there you have it..

  • Blake bashed federer in olympics in the quater final in straight sets: 6-4 7-6.

  • I'm not trying to take anything away from James, because I really like the guy, but it was Fed's match to lose. He had something like 50 unforced errors. It was a terrible match by Roger's standards.

And you have to remember Roger started off his hard court season with early losses at Montreal and Cincinatti. He wasn't exactly in blazing form by any stretch of the imagination.

  • In fact, I'm never Blake's fan, I'm a huge fan of Rafael Nadal, he's the world number one, he's the best player in the world!!!

  • yes but Roger still ended winning a gold medal in doubles and won his 5th straight USO to take him 1 slam shy of Sampras's 14 while Blake went home empty handed and has yet to make the semis of a major and he's 2 years older than Federer.

Federer is a legend already and his career isn't even over while Blake is a tier 2 player

at the end of the day;Federer>>>>>>>>>Blake

  • I'm not a blake fan, I'm a huge Rafael Nadal fan!!! Nadal is the world number one!!! Vamos Rafa!!!

  • Blake's go for broke style of play only allows him to play like this occassionally

  • rafa is sexy...blakes face is gorgeous. both are great! i am a bigger fan of rafael though. since he first came up.

    amazing tennis.

  • rafa need´s a haircut!

  • blake´s forehand is devastating..

  • the point starting from 1.31 is just awesome!!!

  • they both are good player

  • wouuu... blake the ebest

  • rafa was so sexy in this match lol :)

all his reactions, how he gets so pumped up made me realize how much i miss seeing him play lol !

  • blake is far sexier than rafa u foooool! Blake for Sexiest Man in The World!!!!!

  • nope, rafa takes it :)

  • well sorry to dissapoint u but I happened upon a sports book predicting not only the future sports results but anyhting that affects sports stars including the sexiest man in the world which blake wins in 2008 again in 2009 and then Jesus wins it in 2010!!! oh yeah and blake becomes no1 inthe WORLD and never losses another point

  • oh ya? and what book would that be?

  • the bible!!and no u cant have your own opionin!!!get your own life!!
