Uh... The real reason it's called Clint Eastwood is because, well it samples some songs from movies he was in, but mostly as a tribute to dub reggae artists who had similar stage names. You can tell by the first two albums that Gorillaz were very dub and punk orientated.

It's called Clint Eastwood because of the harmonica, which was used in a Clint Eastwood movie. Also, awesome video. LOL at that one point of activation.

Also, the line "sunshine in a bag" is a reference to "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly": The sunshine referring to the bag of money Eastwood's character rides of with. I also agree with you on the weirdness of one point of activation.
