Im sorry but I'm calling bull**** on the RAMAir. You really need to know what how a HVAC system works from the return air duct-work panning and filter racks to the supply plenum housing a A or W coil of which gets plugged with dirt its self, your system in no way could clean the entire HVAC system from what Ive seen its just cleaning a few feet of the runs NOT the entire system I for one would feel like I was dishonest if I was using that system. stick with carpet cleaning leave ducts to HVAC
@swauss While it's understandable to be skeptical about new systems, your assessment of the RamAir System couldn't be more inaccurate.
The RamAir System cleans ALL of the return, supply and trunk line(s) in the HVAC system.
I invite you to try the RamAir System for yourself before making rash judgement calls.
I assure you, you will be extremely impressed with it's performance... I personally guarantee it will do a much better job than your portable brush systems, without damaging the ducts ;-)
You said your hose can suck up a brick! True maybe! I’ve seen a vacuum suck up 10lb bowling ball before. But try and push that semi ridged 1.5 inch vacuum hose past sharp sheet metal edges, joints, sheet metal screws, dampers, flexible vinyl ducts, and 90degree oval pipe, etc….
When it comes to duct cleaning one tool cannot do it all. Let’s face it there is more than a hammer in every tool box.
You claims to harness the power of furnace (up to 2000cfm) to assist in cleaning process, this may work on supply side which is under positive pressure (let’s leave static and velocity out of equation, but return side which is under a negative pressure and sucking debris into furnace blower, condensing, evaporator coil, etc… away from your collection box. (Not including duct leakage) How do you harnessing power of the furnace when it’s pulling away from your air ball and collection box/vacuum?
Construction debris, chunks, tile, grout, etc... not a problem for the RamAir System.
After the debris is blasted from the sides with the duct ball, the vacuum hose is then run down the entire duct. We've literally removed whole bricks from duct systems.
The CFM dissipation you described is true for all duct cleaning "negative air" type systems. "Negative Air" duct cleaning is recommended by the National Air Duct Cleaner's Association.
Let’s be real. Dust bunnies, lint and paper maybe?? But then try construction debris like wood chunks, tile, grout, drywall, lego’s, army men, marbles, pet food or beer bottles; Yes beer bottles and lunch sacks.
Now let’s talk about 2000cfm’s, Yes at Furnace (largest residential) add duct length, elbows and leakage you’ll be lucky to get 50 to 150cfm though average 6” duct run. Let along glorified 1.5inch vacuum hose running out to the truck in driveway.
Its a good idea, but as a potential buyer of this system..I dont see what im paying $900 for ?...an air line hose, blower nozzle, ram air tip, and a clear plastic box..seems a bit much..
@locc151 Most portable duct cleaning systems cost between $4,000-$15,000.
Virtually none of those systems have the near the power of the RamAir System.
For example, the leading rotary brush system costs several times what the RamAir System costs, and utilizes 163 CFM.
The RamAir System cleans with 2,000 CFM and up.It's not just a little "Plug in the wall" unit. Also, RamAir, is a "System" for cleaning, that offers marketing and tech assistance free of charge.
This 4 minute video merely touches on how the system works.
The areas of the duct system to which you refer are indeed cleaned using the RamAir System.
If you would like to call me and ask me to explain how the system works in detail, please do.
I'll be happy to explain exactly how many, many carpet cleaners across the globe are now very successful duct cleaners by using the RamAir Duct Cleaning System.
What a great system!!! Last time my ducts were cleaned, the gunk was blown out onto newspaper!!! I had to vaccum after the guy left!!! I wish it was here in our area (Michigan).

@JohnEod67 Yes, the RamAir System can remove bricks, rocks, chunks of wood/sheetrock from ducts.
If you've been in the HVAC cleaning industry, you're aware that many duct systems contain these very items.
It's true, most tool boxes contain more than a hammer.
Your duct cleaning arsenal, however, need only contain the RamAir System.

@JohnEod67 Good question John!
The RamAir System utilizes the negative air movement in the return ducts for the cleaning of them.
Please go to our website and click on the "Videos" tab and watch the video called "Return Duct Cleaning." ;-)

Can't clean ducts in 1 hour..LOL

Your only cleaning the supply runs? What about the trunk lines, return airs, furnace, blower and A coil?
deadrabbit55 11 months ago
@deadrabbit55 We're absolutely cleaning the trunk lines, return ducts, furnace, etc.
The RamAir System is by far not only the most affordable portable duct cleaning system available in the world, but also the most effective.
No other duct cleaning system can match it's affordability, power, versatility and effectiveness.

residentdimon,
Thank you for your interest in the RamAir System.
The trunk lines are cleaned by running the duct ball down the length of the lines.
This is covered in great detail in the training manual and training DVD that comes with the purchase of the RamAir System.
If you would like further explanation, please give me a call.
p.s. The RamAir System has been and will continue to be featured in many news articles across the country.

Debra, the RamAir ClearView Duct Cleaning System is presently in use by cleaning companies across the United States, and soon in other countries.
If you'd like to get ahold of us at RamAir Industries, we'd be happy to direct you to a cleaner in your area who's using the RamAir System.
You'll be amazed at the amount of dust and debris that comes out, and there will be no need to clean anything up afterward.
