I'm thinking of getting this game. I wrote the Creature Guide on gamefaqs.com and I thought it was done well, but I don't hear good things about G&W2 game mechanics and the creatures. And there's only 4 Creatures?! The first game had almost 20 if you include the expansion.

@Schragmeister 6 including Battle of the Gods, but yes, still very few compared to the original and Creature Isle. Also, the creature battles are not interactive anymore. And your creature only gets to have limited miracles, unlike the original where I taught my creature many miracles (and my creature's pet/child learned Megablast!). However, teaching your creature what to do and what not to do is much simpler than the original. Also, better graphics...

@kenmordeno it is a shame they cant grow bigger, but it is also logical why they restricted the height. if a creature could grow 30 meters in height you would also need walls 30 meters in height xD. the lands should also have been bigger then normal otherwise the creatures only would need to take a few steps to get to the enemy.

@kenmordenothe lands in black and white where much bigger. especially the last land and some multi maps. they where so big that trowing rocks from your settlement to the enemies as about a 5% hit rate. and you can trow rocks on black and white far easier and further then in black and white2.

Also, I miss being able to "burn rocks" =p I have already forgotten how large the last land is in B&W, but I remember it having a village for every single tribe there is. If only that land was re-created in B&WII....(nerdgasm!) XD

I always choose the lion, but I think the wolf is way cooler. The reason I never pick the wolf is because he gets really ugly when he's evil. His waist region becomes almost nonexistent, his teeth grow through his upper jaw and you can't even see his eyes. The guys who made the model for the evil wolf really screwed up.

@ScythePuppet there are only the cow ,wolf,ape and lion but they all have diffrent apperence's which depend on if theyre evil or good. While in the expantion pack (battle of the gods)there are 6, the same as the original creatures just with added ehmm another lion and a turtle.

They have the cow because despite being a bad fighter it is a hell good entertainer and gatherer. The ape is evil because in the first game the ape is the enemies creature. In the second games expansion the ape is a zombie :p .the wolf is pretty ugly when evil and acceptable when good. I love the lion because it's adorable no matter what! I much prefer the tiger from the expansion but what can you do... I hope that if they make a 3rd one they'll put in a dragon!!
