I do something similar; greek yogurt with a tablespoon of honey, strawberries and nuts for crunch and (more) protein. It's not low fat that way, but it's good fat? I'll let Shawn settle the score on that one.
love to use greek yogurt as a sub for the low-fat -- i freeze it for a few hrs, then scoop it out, has a nice ice cream texture.

if the yoghurt and the whipped cream aren't low in sugars too the whole "we're saving on fat" -thing won't get u anywhere far
