  • These Phenomenal Shamisen Players should be honored w/accustics. Their song Rising makes me want more like this!! I thiink how awesome this song could be if they had their band playing w/them. Can someone get this message to them ? ;-) :-P

  • -twitch twitch- so -twitch- freaking -twitch twitch- GOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!

  • sugoi...

  • i wonder... how did people play this instrument in ancient japan... can anyone point me into right direction ?

  • @psychobobek well, i have seen shamisen (that is the instrument) players live and also videos, so i know a little about them (a little meaning a veeeery small amount). There are three strings on the instrument, and it has a very long neck, with a base that looks like a kind of traditional drum. The pegs are quite large andtwisting them helps you tune them to the correct pitch. The instrument is plucked with a 'plectrum', which can be made from a range of materials. Ive run out of space -_-

  • @psychobobek Try look at Wikipedia: There are some pretty good information about the different shamisans and the different ways to play it.

  • @psychobobek same way they do now. with that giant pick, the bachi.

  • love this :)

  • There the best

  • 4 people can play guitar

  • @hojogojo123

    ahah xD

  • i know purists might hate...but i think this would sound good along with some dubstep sort of sounds

  • @jacob3432 Haha, that would be interesting, but hey, to each his/her own, ya know?

  • @jacob3432 or rock

  • dunno about anyone else but yoshida brothers music always puts me in the mood for online combat games xD pumps my blood

  • What I would give to have a shamisen...dont know how to play it but i would do it...by any means necesary...one of the most beautiful instruments there is...fuck piano go shamisen :D

  • These guys are fucking amazing. I am DEFINITELY moving to Japan when I am older, no matter what!

  • Shamisen's Sound = Absolute Epicness !

  • they are Awesome! i have their CD's

  • i think all the people that hate good music are old people with sight and heargin problems. they get pissed off they can't hear the awesome music because they dropped their hearing aids in their neighbor's urinal again, but still think the song is good so they waddle over to give it a thumbs up. too bad they can't see it and hit the dislike....

    that's the only explanation...

  • @spikescowboyhiphop how many people do you know that have a urinal in their house?

  • Oh my God~! This is brilliant. *in love* <3

  • theres 3 metally retardations that dont like this song

  • Gotta listen in headphones to really appreciate!! :0)

  • Thanks posting!!

  • amazing! nothing else to say

  • Who's the window licker who gave it a thumbs down?

  • @Pwillig He probably missed the thumbs up button.

  • The way they play the Shamisen in this song reminds me a lot of the Greek Bazoukya (not sure how to spelll it). The two instruments sound VERY similar.

  • shamisen doesnt need any supportive instrument. this piece proves it.

  • @rubelcool i agree, but it does go great with the electric guitar

  • @rubelcool
