  • It is a good video because optical phenomenons from every day life are used to explain the function of the eye. The animation is great (with the lens widening through ciliar muscles).

  • The distances should be measured from near the posterior aspect of the eye's lens, not from its center, no?

  • They are using a standard coordinate system. So distances to the left of the lens are negative. Thus the formula at 1:50 is correct.

  • The expression at 1:50 is wrong beacuse 1/F = 1/v + 1/u

  • @Universe1108 That is for mirrors, the eye has a lens

  • @Universe1108 The formula at 1:50 is right because 1/F= 1/v + 1/u is used for a mirror where as the eye has a lens.
