Serious plot hole here. Dick Grayson's a former circus acrobat. Couldn't he have just pulled himself up on the chains and hovered over the candlestick spinning wheel???
wow. when I think a batman villain, I think either a psychotic murderer with little to no backstory, like the joker, or a misunderstood person with a tragic backstory like mr. freeze or killer croc. I know that batman's dark gothic story line wasn't featured in any of the shows until bruce timm's DCAU, but simon the pieman? seriously?
@Kagaines In these Filmation cartoons, Batgirl is so easy to capture. In this cartoon, she is captured by Simon the pieman 3 times as Batgirl and 1 time as Barbara Gordon. Ironically, when Batgirl is captured in her Barbara Gordon idendity, she is able to escape on her own, but when she's captured as Batgirl, she has to rely on Batman and Robin to rescue her ("Batman! Robin! Help!!!).
Wow Batman realllllllly has come a loooooooooong way!!! He wasn't much of a detective back then huh?! Does it take a genius to know a tranny off top!?LOL I mean wow.
No more unrealistic than Commissioner Gordon not being able to recognize his own daughter's voice behind the mask of Batgirl. Despite the _fiery red_ pig-tails sticking out the side!
@Carycomic LMAO You aint never lying!!!! As kids we didn't know any better. As an adult I can't lend this show enough willing suspense of disbelief to enjoy this the way it was intended. You beat me with that observation friend! Case closed.lol
Janet Waldo was the voice of Judy Jetson as well as Josie of "Josie and the Pussycats", Penelope Pitstop, and in an unusual twist she was the voice of Granny on the series "Precious Pupp". I say unusual because Janet often voiced teenage girls or young women rather than older women.
Jane Webb did the voice of both Barbara Gordon and Simon's hench-wench, Magda. She also did the voice of Dr. Erica Lane for the Filmation spin-off of FANTASTIC VOYAGE, over at ABC. In fact, she and Ted Knight did a lot of voice-over stuff for Filmation during the late 1960's.
When Pieman said "Operation Turkish Delight," I thought they were all going to sodomize Barbara Gordon and/or Robin (I mean, come on--look at his costume).
O no he didn't @ 6:12! he turned the roof into a flying saucer! These criminals have resources. If he could afford a flying saucer, why bother stealing some stupid coins?
LOL at robin at 3:51! This guy is funny like the Joker. They need to bring Simon into the updated cartoons
LOL @ 4:41! Batgirl got beaten by an apple turnover!
@Fgrandinetti The amazing thing about this cartoon is that when Batgirl is tied to a chair and gagged in her Barbara Gordon idendity she manages to escape on her own but whenever she's captured as Batgirl she's completely helpless and has to be rescued by Batman and Robin. She should save herself the trouble of changing into Batgirl and fight crime as Barbara Gordon.
Comparing this to BTAS is ridiculous - this is from 1968 - the very first animated Batman series ever made. In the SIXTIES. You know anything about the comics at all? They were never "dark" until the 80s.
Filmation's Superman and Batman series were the first saturday morning cartoons ever - without these things being the hit they were, we would never have gotten B:TAS...
Aww man I am perfectly aware that the dark atmosphere till the mid 70's- 80's, I'm saying I don't like this style ok... It belongs to another era that has nothing to say to me, all right?? So gimme a break for not have fallen in love with that era's style, I wasn't born then, I'm not used to it, it doesn't say much to me... It's that simple...
I made I comparison man and expressed my preference towards B:TAS ... You somehow felt the urgue to play defender of this show... Not my fault if you're in love with the '60s cartoon style but not evebody likes it you know... Just get over it..
I am just saying it doesn't seem fit to me... I am used to a gloomy and dark Batman fighting pychopathetic criminals... This reminds me more of Scooby Doo...
Simon, the one few Batman villain who dosent mind dressing in drag.

very emasculating performance for Commisioner Gordon.
Great pre-super"friends" Olin Sulet/Casey Kasam(batman/Robin) and I am guessing Linda Gary for Batgirl who was Jane and Judy Jetson.
Simon Says: "LISTEN TO ME!"
Natasha as a blonde bimbo sweed with blonde hair instead of a Rusky.

Jane Jetson was voiced by Penny Singleton.
