Yes, you are right about that, that's why I said they have many "elements" of German 1930's invading philosphy, if they had the whole thing, then their soldiers would be ordered to execute the local population. But they don't need to do that. Germany believed that other races would interfere with their quest for power... U.S(government) does not see races as a threat they can manipulate them, or make them fight with each other(common policy in middle east) no need to make genocide themselves.

Thank you very much for posting this. These journalist I admire and respect very much and I hope they know that they are the real heroes. Risking their lives not to make a 20 grand signing bonus to kill Iraqis but to portray a war and the humanity lost with just a camera as a defense.

Most USA citizens aren't criminals, but their government is. It has been always, and it looks like it is going to continue much of this, be it republican or democrat. Their culture does need to change, that is one thing, and also their domination in the world. Maybe then will their foreign policy have a more human face. Make no mistake, however, I personally know many good americans who are working towards this goal.

Lets really hope it doesn't have to take a nuclear exposion for the United States to go through what happend to Germany in 1945. German deep culture, and foreign policy which is part of that, had been altered, maybe once and for all away from outright invasion of other countries. USA also might need to have its 1945, but hopefully Americans can prevent thier own country from it.

Iraq is recovering, all be it slowly, but it is getting there. If the forces left now then all would be lost and the country would go to hell ofr a very long time. In 5-10 years time it will be a better country and a secure country in the middle east which is very rare. Comparing them with germany in world war 2 as you did is unjust. America are not killing for the sake of race or for the sake religion. Insurgency is doing that.

I think comparing U.S foreign policy to Germany from the 1930's isn't that far off. Germany was in full swing fascism....U.S has plenty of elements of this sad philosophy, namaley that it operates in "Fear" and "Destiny Modes" and IS ABLE TO IMPOSE THIS ON THEIR CITIZENS. As for Iraq being better in 10 years from now... no people are going to be better after 10 years of inner violent conflict. No but germany where their to kill people. America arn't. Germany were there to take over the world. I don't see it likely that america plans to take over the world starting with iraq. I think that is a very very warped and injust view of the world you have there.

I disargee. In the 1930's taking over the world looked very different than it does not. If you know anything about geopolitics you realize how important that region (Central Asia, Middle East) is in having control and staying on top in world politics. As for killing people, there are many ways of doing it...you can do it openly(Germany) or under the blanket of "freedom fighting and democracy" (U.S). Either way....you do it to get what you want...and that's power.
