i dont think you should keep stepping outside an offensive player re-posting because he could easily spin in the reverse direction and gain the advantage underneath.
you should never go to the middle and let the guy that your gaurding have a straight shot to the basket. you always have to stay in between your opponent and the basket. thats key.
what will happen if the player likes the two ways to attack the basket....he could easily pivot around the player in the direction his open......not good...and if the center moves to help in the defense....2 vs 1....he will just pass it to the wide open teammate...
