I hate both Jerry O'Connel and Ben Affleck at least go for someone more realistic in a role like that like Michael Shanks(Who's character from Stargate would've made a brilliant watcher).

The idea started when Tony Head said he wanted to leave before end S5. It was going to be a TV series Ripper made with the BBC, set in Bath (where ASH lives) shown late evening so it could be a lot more adult. But it went tits up. JW too busy? Maybe

Couple of years ago someone asked ASH about it at a do where JW was, too, and they talked about it again - Joss asked if Tony knew anyone at the BBC who could help!! The name Ripper is out now; it would be a tv film, likely called The Watcher.
