@GEEinHD You can't use a HDMI cable to connect a console to your laptop unless you have a top of the line laptop. Most HDMI cables on laptops are output only.. I discovered this when I tried to do this exact thing with my new MW3 360.

@Wouwza Try using VirtualDub to record, then in capture Avi choose capture audio and audio playback. Search for a virtualdub tutorial for easycap on youtube. Heres a good one watch?v=JAeA2DG9Z5Q&feature=mf­u_in_order&list=UL. Hope I helped.

my ps3 is connected to the input. i only have one so i use spliters. Then i connect my easy cap into the usb port. the software asks me if i want to use it and i click yes and it switches to usbgrabber2.0 but the recording screen stays blank. hey, i want to do commentaries/gameplays and i bought an easycap. i bought splitters and it all cost 25 dollars. not too bad but i cant figure it out.

-My TV only has one input and it doesnt have an output for video.

Hi, Just bought an easy cap DC60+ and hooked it up to my old box tv and it works fine, but now after I have bought a new flat screen HD tv it will not pick up a signal from the xbox and I can't even see the picture on my computer. I am using 2 R,Y,W RCA cable with 3 y spliters as per usual. Just need someones help if they know how to fix it or what I could do. Also I have checked that the tv is in standard def not hd also. If anyone could help that would be amazing.

When you installed EasyCap did it install succesfully?

When you record what is the name of the recording device? (SMI Grabber, syntek, etc.)

Do you have a Windows 7 computer? Easycap audio doesn't seem to work on Win.7
