I live in anson on the road that you are sitting on my house is the one the the right with the big guard light i see the anson light every day and it always seems to do the same thing ive never had a crazy experience with it but i see a few cars almost everynight flashing theyre lights to try and see it. My friend has seen the woman in the graveyard. One time after getting a group of about 8 of us in my friends car we went back and forth about 10 times, the last we flashed our lights 12 times and waited. After a minute or so a perfect circle of light (like lighting struck the car) flashed about 30 foot around the car.

The light appears in the middle of the country road or to the left...not on the right where the cemetery is.

@darilg so you're saying that there is a car coming around the curve hitting the straight away 24/7? I strongly doubt that... Sorry to break it to you but the Anson lights are real. My coach use to go there all the time with his friends when he was in high school. That's how i found out about them.

me and my 3 friends one night at exactly midnight back in summer fall 2008 were there for almost 2 hours when i was watching a video on my phone when my friend told me to look up when i did i seen the figure of a woman in a wet coat suit for the winter back in the day and the light right where it should be and we gave it 10 seconds before we left from freaking out i didnt know what to do so i started the car and jet outta there, one of the scariest moments of my life no pussy talk.
the story is during the winter back in the early pioneer days there used to be railroad track being used nearby that what you go by, however it the days of lanterns and light for communication and such, there were 2 sons and one of them wanted out side to play although it was freezing cold and winter snowing and all well the mother told her son flash your light when your headed back so i know you're ok, thats why when you flash 3 times that means mom im coming back home
I have seen it from the car to the grave yard it was over a grave about 3 ft in diameter and blood red!!!!......We followed it from the cross rd then stop half way and stopped next to yard..There it was ...We all 4 of us were freaked out
I got to witness it while at ACU and it's the real deal. This may freak you out but I promise you when I went the 3rd time it got really big and then it just seem to blow up and 3 small blue lights fluttered out to the left in to the trees. That was creepy.

it was oddly refreshing to see this light again. i was stationed at Dyess and on nights that i had nothing to do, i used to grab a friend and take them out and show them the lights. the most remarkable thing is that when i saw it the first time, it split into two lights, one reddish and one smaller white light. as i went to film it, my camera would not turn on. dead battery. i've chased the lights many times with running lights on only and i got as close as the edge of the property on the right.

i went to college in abilene last year and we went out and drank beers in anson a lot viewing these lights. the lights are actually from a highway a few miles in front of the road you sit on and view from. the cops told us about this haunted bridge about 20 minutes from anson in some town near by. be careful when yal go out there because the house on the right of the road you park on, has a security camera and monitors very closely every move of the tresspassers and he called the police on us
Me and my girlfriend went out to see the light last night (5/31/09). I'm a skeptic and did not believe that a light would come out of no where and get brighter... So, we went. We drive up the dirt road about a half mile or so away from the cemetery til we get to a 4-way and turn around. We turn the car completely off, and i flash my lights 3 times. I say "So how long do we wait?" and a few seconds later, i see a light appear from nowhere on the left side of the dirt road, that clearly wasn't
there before i flashed my lights. We watched as it flickered like a lantern then got REALLY bright as if it were coming toward us. I kept blinking my eyes as if it wasn't real. After about ten seconds at its brightest, it started to fade until we couldn't see it anymore. I sat there in disbelief a few seconds then flashed my lights 3 more times. 2 seconds later, the light re-appeared. We then see a car BEHIND the light headed toward us, so we freaked out thinking it was a cop,
