Here's a tech tip. When you record at home, the walls are hard plaster and flat as pancakes. This causes very harsh overtones that can make high notes sound shrill. Cover at least one of your walls with quilts or comforters or even just cotton or poly batting. This will give more of that studio sound.

I can see the guitar thing is what you do, but I commented on one of your videos saying not all songs can be sang over a guitar. This is definitely one of them songs, you got a lovely voice, but the guitars do not substitute for Timbaland's beat and you should try singing a song but with the songs' original beat, rather to a guitar.
