I know the series as a whole is quite dreadful and cringe worthy; and appreciate parodies such as this. Love the whole line with "Team Edward will be sickened by us..." etc. That would make the BEST tag line. :D

The film's not perfect - There are plenty of smirk inducing scenes in New Moon (much more so than in Twilight - but it is doing something good. It is look at its source material properly and sticking to those key themes.

For me; to take against it is to take against what it's about because I don't think it was a poorly made film and I have nothing bad to say about its theme.

Look at it in the same way you'd look at "Let The Right One In" in that neither of them are really about Vampirism.

The acting wasn't bad by any means - Kristen Stewart goes from not loving ANYTHING to hypnosis over Eddy, and I completely bought that. NONE of the students were played as caricatures and the scene between Bella and Dad when she has to leave home was absolutely heart breaking. There's more if you want.

The cinematography was fine.

Bad special effects - yes, of course (echoing that Jack Nicholson's trampolining in Wolf).

Well I mean misunderstand as in not knowing that the film is about teenage angst (and abstinence) anyway so it's predisposed to do the things it does. I mean I DON'T think the film's poorly directed I think it was done very well, the film did get its source material (the choice to make Phoenix look as cold and down trodden as everywhere else because from Bella's angsty perspective - what's so bright about living anywhere?)

This was done with JUST the on-board microphone. All the lines were delivered upclose or I only use the audio from the up-close takes. Typically we'd use a boom mic but didn't have one for this!
