  • Well, from the video, I don't think she died...considering how much the nurse was smiling. If she had died, I doubt she would've been so happy...otherwise, that would make her the worst nurse ever.

  • @brinpol Nah - she isn't really smiling. It's just a bit looking this way. Just see his reaction und u know

  • "Thank god you can cook", LMFAO!

  • Wow, was there ever anything like this? I might be missing things here, but I don't recall anything that can compare to this back in the time when it came out and since. Neither before hand. Kate is one of a kind.

  • @armatulo Then you need to open your horizons a little more...

  • @brinpol Could be, but she is still one of a kind.

  • Fantastic Song. I love this. Makes me tearful every time I hear it.

  • it says pray god you can cope, not thank god you can cook .....

  • Oh come on. I also though that the lady died at childbirth but she didn't . The man simply panicked. See the movie 'She's having a baby' and you will understand and get the Whole Story (joke).

  • The BEST song by one of THE best artists in the world EVER. My ultimate for any occassion, speaks volumes for everyone!

  • Simply, a classic.

  • Japanese singer Aco did a cover of this song; I uploaded it on my channel!

  • Didnt know the nspcc ad was kate bush. How exciting.

  • The first I had this song was on the NSPCC adverts and the adverts made me cry thanks to the song and I have spent years looking for it and am so happy that I have the song to help me get on in life <3

  • I suggest you watch shes having a baby where the track comes from and then it will really choke you up.

  • @mightyboosh22 I'd never heard it before then.

Feels like it should belong to Think Before You Drink Before You Drive

  • Everything about this song and video is simply perfect. A true expression of raw emotions that touches everyone who sees it.

  • I heard a clip of this on a Radio 4 play this week about a woman suffering with depression and so had to search for it. So touching.

  • @buldic Supreme!

  • I neverrealised this wasn't a Bush song. But definitely put her stamp on it.

Feels more like this should be in a Think Before You Drink Before you drive commerical

  • what do mean ''you never realised this WASN'T a bush song ? . just who do you think ,did write it then.

  • @jimcorkas is that cheryl cole?

  • But for Ricky Gervais I might never have heard of this... remember it was used in Extras?

  • always makes me cry, WOW so haunting xx

  • We need songs like this.Reminds me of what the more beautiful side of the human race is like.We do actually care about each other.Men and women alike.

  • i thought it was about death!!!! Anyone else??????

  • sorry, don't think so!! :)

  • Quite the opposite; more about the helplessness and regret of us poor dumb dudes. There's just some stuff that we can't do, i.e. birth kids. We're used to being helpers, but there's some stuff like this that makes us just stop and think what we could have done better, smarter, etc.

At least that's what I got out of it.

  • @Sunrise789 Yeah, I assumed his wife had died - he's in a hospital waiting room....

  • @Sunrise789 I agree - I assumed his wife had died, or is dying. He's in a hospital waiting room, reliving moments together as she sings about wishing "give me these moments back, give them back to me". The first line, "thank god you can cook" are because she isn't there to cook for him any more... The last scene even shows the moment she collapses and he takes her to hospital.

    So sad...

  • I really should not feed the trolls, but I hope to gawd you are kidding about the "thank god you can cook" comment. I would rather you were taking the piss than the alternative... a supermassive black hole of stupid :)

  • Comment removed
