I didn't see any comment about it ..pls tell me if I'm wrong but ...but this are two quarter note fills....i mean he uses 2 quarter notes duration for the fill not one quarter note as the title says .....

i hate the american music, im a quaver person, but he's playing one note for every beat in the bar, so 4 beats aka quarter notes, so how does he use only 2 beats?

Excercise 3 is performed incorrectly. When you talk about it, you say it starts with the snare and goes to the floor tom requiring you to start the fill with the left hand. When you do the excersise you start on the floor tom and go to the snare, and you start with your right hand. It's not played like the sheet music says.

hey check the rock drum play alongs, he shows himself off a bit better there, after all these videos are for beginners and you need to be encouraging, wouldnt work if you turned round to a beginner and said"your shit you can only play quarter notes, they suck"

Fill it with pillows.

tune the batter head (the one the beater hits) tighter than front head for starters. I have the front head just tight enough that it's not wrinkly, and then tune the batter head about a whole octave above that, much tighter than you would think. Then get a microphone and hook it up to a mixer where you can cut out the higher frequencies and keep only the part of the sound you want.
