Wow! I just had a reawakening in my soul. I've listened to this thousands of times and everytime it brings me to tears. I think it's because this time it brought me back to the realization that I have been trying to do it on my own and a reminder that I need to be praying and reading the scriptures. That's why I feel so empty.
@mightytosave100 Water represents the presence of God, bread represents the Word of God, substance. If we don't eat or drink we eventually die, same when we don't pray in the presence of God and don't read the Word. You die. You eventually lose all fire and hunger for God, you start sinning again, skipping church and once you're saved, nothing can fill your soul but Him. And you can't just live on water or just bread. It has to be both. :)

@ndzoko what would you did if someone was going to destroy your family.It is his world and humans are destroying it through sin. now under grace in the new testament he gave his family Jesus for you and me if we ask for forgiveness and no one has to die. God had no choice back then but to judge them because there was no one else to pay the price for our sins. The reason we don't have to die now is because Jesus paid the price for our sins, so He's still the same God doing the same thing but now someone else is picking up the tab and paying for us.

This is an amazing song . I haven't been to church In 1 year and after I heard this song I just started crying my eyes out. I had realized how much god has done for us. This Sunday I'm going to my church and going to go up after the service and say the prayer to accept god into my heart and get baptized. I don't want to go to hell. This year I'm going to make some major changes in my life. And I'm going to praise him with all my heart. -3

This song was introduced to me by my sister. Twin. I was sharing my heart break of divorce in result of adulturey. My ex husband walked with Christ. I still walk with Christ. I've been hurt many times in my relationships. So I asked what does love look like? What did I do so wrong to deserve this?Then I heard Misty sing." I saw Him on a tree looking at me, looking at Him. I began to weep and weep. Arms wide open, heart exposed. Bleeding. You shall love me. This is how i know what love is! :0)

@justjenjenn 2 Chronicles is in the Old Testament, and mannasteve said only that the New Testament didn't mention it. Nevertheless, Jesus CONFIRMED everything in the old Testament being true (besides the methods of becoming "clean" that he took away by being punished for our sins forever [and, as some might protest, his HOLY work he did on the Sabbath]) so according to BOTH testaments, the Lord loves to be praised with music! :)

Why hanging on a tree is because it was by one man and one tree, that sin and death entered into the world and brought condemnation for all of man, so is it by one man whose blood is shed upon that very tree to rectify Adam, grant us life and bring salvation to all who are, were and are to be.
In the old testament is tells us cursed is he who is hung on a tree. Jesus took our curse. The curse that belonged to us, that was our death, he took it.

When Jesus was on earth he was walking by, and plp would feel like crying, all the ones with diseases, the rejected ones, would run towards Him, all the lone ones, would try to speak to Him just to listen Him talking, the anointed one, the Words of life, of Power, of Victory, of Healing, He was the love incarnated walking around Jerusalem, Samaria, Gadara, etc., He said only His Father is Good, so does Him, because He is the image of His Father, Jesus is Good and always be : )

Wow! I just had a reawakening in my soul. I've listened to this thousands of times and everytime it brings me to tears. I think it's because this time it brought me back to the realization that I have been trying to do it on my own and a reminder that I need to be praying and reading the scriptures. That's why I feel so empty.

@mightytosave100 Water represents the presence of God, bread represents the Word of God, substance. If we don't eat or drink we eventually die, same when we don't pray in the presence of God and don't read the Word. You die. You eventually lose all fire and hunger for God, you start sinning again, skipping church and once you're saved, nothing can fill your soul but Him. And you can't just live on water or just bread. It has to be both. :)

If we cannot believe that Jesus came down from heaven, in the form of a Human to take are sins upon him and die then ressurrect. Than God will never be real to you. If you want your questions answered, than get on your knees and invite Jesus into your life, and let Jesus be the Lord of your life. If you don't How can anybody believe what the bible says? Knowledge is not transformation or freedom, Gods Love is freedom, and His love is on the Cross. Jesus gave us freedom to Love God freely.

These nations were cruel to the own, they were idol worshipers and murderers of their neighbors. If you had neighbors like this you might rethink you stance. Peace comes from Holy Order. @ndzoko what would you did if someone was going to destroy your family.It is his world and humans are destroying it through sin. now under grace in the new testament he gave his family Jesus for you and me if we ask for forgiveness and no one has to die. He is trying to protect us. Kind of like a baby you tell them not to stick something in an outlet because you know what could happen but the baby does not. Same way with God he tells us do not because he knows what the long run outcome will be.

@ndzoko Well, I can't argue that what you wrote above is true in the OLD testament, but if you pay attention to the words of the song you'll notice Jesus died, and when He did that we were given mercy, and forgiveness, and it covers all of the above. He died for ALL of that, so we don't have to die anymore, all we have to do is accept what He did, and believe on Him.

@JIJord What Jesus said later, just contradicts what he did in the old-testament. Jesus is god !! The god of the Old-Testament is the same god as the one from the New-Testament. God(jesus) ordered all those people killed in the Old-Testament. Period. What he said or did in the gospels squarily contradicts what he did and said in the old-testament.

@ndzoko It's not contradictory. He is perfectly just. The wage of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. God had no choice back then but to judge them because there was no one else to pay the price for our sins. The reason we don't have to die now is because Jesus paid the price for our sins, so He's still the same God doing the same thing but now someone else is picking up the tab and paying for us.

@ndzoko God's not the one killing them. And no, I don't find working on the sabath to be bad. It's not about the precept, it's about the principle. God looks not on the outward appearance, he looks on the heart. That's also why Jesus said the man who hates his brother has committed murder in his heart. God doesn't care if you work on the sabath, what he cares about is that you're remembering Him and focusing on him. As for the cross being foolishness

The mind CAN be used by God, but only after it has been renewed by the washing of the word. The CARNAL mind wants to discern and figure things out for itself. We're supposed to walk by the spirit.
