This is so sad! I remember watching her on the X-Factor, I must have been about 11, and I just remember thinking, WOW! What an inspiration! The voice, the ambition, everything! She was such a sweetheart. And it's so sad to hear about what's happened. All my thought go out to her friends and family.

RIP Kerry. Just brings tears to myeyes to watch this, and "Hallelujah," but also very inspiring and comforting to see the spirit of such a wonderful person. I was quite shocked to see the news, because I remember her so well from the show, not so much for the wheelchair as for that quiet strength that came across even on TV. I never met this lady, but she has certainly reminded me of the positive qualities which transcend all of the divisions that we humans are sometimes prone to.

What's funny is the range of things this show is called, and the range of opinions on the judges attitudes. Nobody has ever accused any if the judges on the X Factor to be sympathetic before, that's a new one. Of course the presupposition is that she wouldn't have made it through without the wheelchair, so he cut out the singing to bolster the point. So now Simon is both cruel and kind? God Almighty, people and their opinions.
