  • Thank you for sharing your story. You may like Letters To a Mixed Race Son.

    Frank Robinson

  • Now if the "Out of Africa" is taken to be an indisputable truth, then don't all of us - those whose ancestors came out of Africa - Europeans, Mixed race, Asians, Latinos, etc...and all other admixtures and races - have a drop of "black" in us? Interestingly, just the other day, I saw an indian guy of dark skin on the subway but his skin looks like it's in the midst of changing colour from dark complexion to white...but I know of course, this is a skin disease.

  • Why are whites so intimidated by having a little of black ancestry. Most of them look beautiful for having black in them really. Nice curly thick hair, full lips, beautiful skin tones that are not as white as the average white person.

  • There is a secrecy about MARILYN MONROE's dad...... very mysterious.

  • White gentic destruction

  • She reminds me of Soledad O'Brien or Vanessa Willams...she would look black if she were to get a tan for the day.

  • this woman's jaw makes her look mandingo or like the typical west african, she has black features with white skin. Looking at her proves so many whites are mixed like the French and mid-Europeans.

  • Your father does look black. That is rare for white people who's DNA isn't strong enough to breed out the black gene. He must really have had only a drop or two of black in him.

  • @JonathanStalberg IM SORRIE, BUT UR RACIST ND THAT GIVES ME EVRY REASON TO DISLIKE YU ................ I AM FULLY BLAK ND I LUV MYSELF, ND YU SHOULD TOO. I USED TO HATE THA KOLOR OF MY SKIN, WHITE AMERICA OBVIOUSLY TAKES A TOLL ON A BLAK GIRL LYK ME. I HAV NO PROBLEM WITH WHITE PPL BUT I DU HAVA PROBLEM WITH RACSIT WHITE PPL. YU KAN HATE BEIN BLAK ALLLLLLLLLLLLL YU FUKIN WANT TO BUT AT THA END OF THA DAY YU WILL STIL BLAK.

*SIGH* I REALLY FIND YU SO DISGUSTING RITE NW.

  • @AlishaSinger I just feel weird mixing a Nigerian (African) Ancestry with a Nordic Swedish (White) Ancestry. That's why I think I am weird because whenever I am in Sweden, I just wish I was full Swedish and I feel way more Swedish than I do black.

  • @JonathanStalberg I think the media makes you think that way... Black CAN be beautiful. Their are alot ppl with broad noses, kinky hair, and "ugly" African features that are attractive, and their are alot of ppl with "beautiful" White features that are butt ugly! lol You should get into bodybuilding, then you'd def love your blackness, West African Bantus make the best bodybuilders!

  • @GayWitch313 Trust me I don't think that is today's standard of beauty and I'm not saying I have purely AFrican features because I don't. I don't really have kinky hair, I have somehwere between really straight and wavy hair. My nose is a little wide, but not as wide as my dad's. I still have African influence which make my traits weird looking. And I don't care about bodybuilding, I want to make myself look as white as possible if I have to, Swedish for that matter.

  • @JonathanStalberg Why is so White beautiful to you? If you make yourself look all White you'll still be half Black, it won't change your genes. You don't have to think your ppl are beautiful to love your culture. I love Greek culture, but I think most Greek ppl are unattractive and too hairy (on offense to any Greeks).

  • @GayWitch313 Yeah genetically I'll still be half black but nobody looks at the inside of you, by looking at blood, you can't just tell if its white or black, asian, spanish, etc blood, you have to take a test. I mean that if I could make myself look more white on the outside, genetically it won't matter because people don't look at that. And of course, even if Swedish people were ugly, which they're not, I would still love them. I really hate being half Nigerian...sorry to anyone, its a curse

  • @JonathanStalberg So you're telling me you have never saw an ugly Swedish person?!

  • @GayWitch313 Noooo lol. Every Swedish person is good looking, everyone I see when I go to Sweden is good looking. Its just the way it is. Nordic people are one of the most attractive ethnic groups/race or whatever in the world. They have such fine sharp features. Its too bad I'm not entirely like that. I am only half of it,it is rare though to see an ugly Swedish person. I know that every country in the world has beautiful, average, and bad looking people but I am just mixed with a terrible race

  • @JonathanStalberg Wow... I find Nordic features too skinny, and I hate blonde hair. Nordics are also freakishly tall. The first Nordic person I saw scared me, they didn't look like "normal" white ppl lol. I still find some Nordics attractive, but most are ugly to me, I don't hate them though. I'm African American and Native American mixed btw.

  • @GayWitch313 Nordic Features are the best. That's the beauty about them, they are skinny. I love blonde hair, I wish I had it. And yes I know Nordics are tall, but I don't think that is a reason to hate them, sometimes being tall is a good thing. And where did you meet your first nordic person? How many have you actually seen in your life? Most are attractive, I think its because of your mix and your culture, you are not used to seeing them, but I wish I looked exactly like them, not only half

  • @JonathanStalberg I never said I hated Nordics because they're tall... I've met alot of Nordic ppl, I first saw one when I was about 6. I think Blondes are much more attractive when they're Mediterranean. It's ok to what to look more white, but to hate yourself or your Blackness is what's wrong.

  • @GayWitch313 Well the blackness is what is making me depressed, low self-esteem, low confidence, and anxiety. I know I can't do anything about it, but it is really bothering me. I'm ashamed of myself and going out with my Nigerian dad. However, I don't feel ashamed when I'm with my mom. I wish there was something I can do.

  • @afrykabarbie Who said I was black? Keep talking, I rest my case,

  • @JonathanStalberg It sucks to be you...

  • @AlishaSinger Well alot. I feel like I am ugly BECAUSE I am half black. It makes me look ugly. The sort of wide nose that I have or hair texture, so when black features are mixing in with the white feartures, it overpowers the pretty white features. That's my perception. Simply, black features are unattrative. So that is why I have self-esteem issues and social anxiety disorder. I just really love my white side, but I really hate the black side and yeah...it's been hard for me to embrace it

  • @AlishaSinger But I am not only full black that's the thing, I can't say it either, it feels weird...mixed is fine but I have a problem with just black, and actually a bit ashamed of it, I have spoken to a physicologist about it. And I would never label myself as just black. It's not like in Sweden they call me just black, they say I'm mixed and also my relatives all accept me. But I have reached a point where I am ashamed of my identity (the black side) because of my physical appearance

  • That's such bull that "in Greenwich Village no one cares where you're from". I was born and raised in GV and there are just as many racists here as in any other part of New York.

  • Comment removed

  • @AlishaSinger Yeah I'm the opposite of them. I identify myself as white, because I grew closer to a Swedish White culture, as well as born there. But anyways...people think I am different things all the time...

  • @AlishaSinger Yeah well anyways I still don't insist people to label biracials who are mixed white and black to be just black. It doesn't work that way. Everyone on this planet is mixed to some extent because of the human evolution how it started in Africa and we developed our features and appearances based on climate adaptations, so I guess people have a blend of some cultures without knowing it. But please, do not say biracials are black because that is just retarded. SMH

  • @AlishaSinger Yeah well that was pretty odd seeing that though, the baby had blond hair, pale skin, and I'm guessing light eyes enough to make it almost CERTAIN that she had two white parents. But was she Albino, because even if the doctor said she wasn't albino, she could be...not every disease or disorder is noticeable.

    .

  • @AlishaSinger Yeah but still I doubt that the 1% black would make any impact on skin colour. And yes, you are right with that last statement. However I still don't think its necesssary to call those people just black because that would just be funny, really, black. I insist that people who have substantial black in them, more than 60% can be called black, but anyways they would look pure white, the 1% would be just genotype wise, not phenotype.

  • @MrCharlieSinclair And you are a non racist white ? My Lord what are the racists like? hahahahaha...Oh my Goodness my stomach is hurting from laughing so hard hahahaha...You are right! You are soooo funny hahahaha

  • English-Anglo people have NO right to criticize anyone else about racism. you ARE the Racism ultimate heavy weights of all time.

  • If a person is 99 % white and 1% african black, they would look 100% white!!! By no means would that one percent show. So how does this justify that one drop in people's bloods makes them black..it doesn't make any sense and it is the stupid country of USA who has block headed dumbasses. Seriously people get a life! A person like that would not look black AT ALL if anything. Wow...5000 generations ago, one of your grandparents was part black...that would not even determine the white appearances

  • @JonathanStalberg

How dare you insult the USA.

Listen Einstein -- if you knew how to pick up a book you would know that the U.S. BANNED the racist 'One Drop Rule' in 1967.

Geez -- don't you know anything about history?!?!!

  • @APGifts Okay well why are people still talking about it today then? huh? And mentioning it? You are telling me to go and pick up a book when I am in a gifted program in high school right now struggling everyday with homework, haha, that's funny. Apprently...I do know history...just not all of it obviously...because nobody knows everything about the world. Anyways I don't need to continue arguing. I'm done. And U.S history is not the only history in the world, there is World History so anyways

  • majority of the white population in the states are just like her.... look at you and look at the gauls in europe =)

  • @MrEwnet

wow you have a chip on your shoulder. i am bi-racial, and i don't discriminate against anyone. get a life.

  • Part 1

First I want to make it clear that none of us has a right to determine our birth. We didn’t choose to be white, black, Asian or something else however miscegenation/race mixing is the worst thing that happen to black people.

  • Part 2

The creation of mulattos or biracial people complicated the struggle of black people for equality and justice! Why? because white people didn’t want to accept black people so they started mingling their blood with black people and created a new offspring like Beyonce, Obama, W.E.B Dubois to name a few.

  • Part 3

These Mulatos or biracial people are categorized as a black people but unfortunately they don’t exhibit the true physical appearance of black people and because of this near white appearance they receive better treatment from white dominated society.

  • Part 4

Because white people are economically dominant they made everything whites a standard. For instance a blond hair that looks like a dog hair or a horse hair, narrow face with small narrow nose, white skin etc becomes the standard. So most of the time people have to exhibit these physical appearances or near these physical appearances to be accepted socially and advance economically specially in the entertainment industry.

  • Part 5

Individuals that maintain their pure black physical appearance are discriminated against not only by white people but also by mullatos or biracial people as well. Brain washed black people with white heads are the worst prejudice, particularly those that are ghettoish and gangster looking once.

  • As far as I'm concerned, the man wasn't Black. Black is black, and he definitely didn't look like he belonged in Niger. As far as his ancestry, I don't give a hoot. I'm most likely one of the 30 million descendants of |Genghis Khan, and I'm definitely not Mongolian.

  • Americans are too obsessed with race, I don't know another country that cares so much about race as the US...sad...

  • @AfricanrevolutionNOW Race does NOT exist. Black and white are just names and labels. There are no such things as white and black people!

  • Speaking of this one drop rule, Halle Berry believes in it. She says both she and her baby (who is 75% Caucasian btw) are black!! Today, I don't think the one drop rule matters or does it? Should people who are 75% white still have to say they're black because in actuality they are not? What do you guys think?

  • ha ha, I feel silly to think this white woman was having some deep reflection of sacrifices made by her father to be truly successful. All to quick to cash out on a secret her father paid dearly to keep. Sometimes white people don't even realize how offense they can be. I would hope anyone could at least see this as tacky to say the least.

  • The “one-drop rule” usually worked because the person in question had “Negro features,” which he could never conceal. However, blending in further with whites often meant the black side would be “washed out,” and so the quadroon and octoroon issues made things harder to identify. Sooner or later the ancestry became too remote for anyone to care about. In the rare case that a child or grandchild came out looking so much whiter than black, then the “one-drop rule” began to loose it effect.

  • @sandinyourshoes

    That's NOT true.

Many of the victims of the ODR had NO VISIBLE black features -- and people only knew of their ancestry via 'documents'.

  • @APGifts, for some, yes, for others, no. It is complex, and many see it differently.

  • If you look at her you can tell and her father as well.Racism has confused alot of people.

  • it's dumb for people to say who's what and who isn't whatever you are even to a small percentage it's still part of your herritage and it's part of what you are. So yes she is part black and white.

  • There is a ton of "white: people walking around the US who have black blood in them...Not many people know that Carly Simon is Black and they dont want to know either...I like Carly SImon and I dont care what she is, but then I dont care cause Im from the Caribbean and I dont have hang ups like that. Thank God.

  • i don't believe having 1/4 black ancestry makes a person black, just like those blacks that may have 1/4 white ancestry makes them white.

  • @armywife2248 which is precisely why it really does not matter to me personally...Race can be a state of mind as well as what you may or may not look like...I am a Black woman even though I have some Scottish Ancestry and have light skin, and no white person has ever mistaken me for white, but whether you are one quarter or one drop these weird rules applly here in the USA whether we like them are not.

  • @susiesingz

The U.S. Supreme Court BANNED the racist 'One Drop Rule' in 1967 via the 'Loving' decision!

  • @susiesingz, that makes sense, but it is unlikely that those folks would like "the black experience."

Some men realy like their women the same way they like their coffee: Hot, sweet, and black.

  • @sandinyourshoes I really dont quite get why you are replying that particular comment to me personally, but I will say...And some men like their coffee light and sweet....Now, that being said Im not into Colorism either. Your sisters of African descent are not the enemy.

  • @susiesingz, my comment was not directed at you personally. It was a general statement. I just do not believe the chick in this video would be seen as black by anyone UNLESS the "secret" were revealed. Then watch how someone suddenly say, "Yes, I think I see it now." That is a bunch of crap. Once the seed is planted, it is time to run for cover.

The "One-Drop Rule" gets silly and no one can always apply it evenly across the board. Still, I have never met anyone who did not notice color.

  • @sandinyourshoes You notice color when you live in a racist society...I did not notice color until I started visiting the United States when I was 14 years old. Up until then I just thought I was a human being. When I watched TV in the USA and everythig was Black this and White that thats when I became aware of race and racism. Where I come from there are people that look just like the woman in the video and every other color too and we just dont think about how white or whatever they look.

  • @susiesingz, there is no such thing as a society that is free of racism.

  • @sandinyourshoes It may not be free of predjudice but it can be free of racism...two very different things...But...clearly you feel the need to be right and I say knock yourself out.... just remember,if you are right all the time then everybody else is wrong all the time...And again I am so glad for the country of my birth because I grew up completely comfortable in my skin and did not worry who was what in my background..I could just be. This is my experience period.

  • @susiesingz, it is not a question of being "right all the time." People just see things in different ways. To each his own. Some say race mixing is not a big deal, and others will never go for it.

  • @susiesingz I'm sure she's been called the n-word, "darkie", and other racial slurs many times in her life, LOL

  • @Poetamo I cant speak for her, but Ive been called all of those things

  • @susiesingz Oh, I'm sorry, that's sad! I just wanted to state that I wouldn't call a person "black" if there is no physical traits of blackness in him/her (if the person looks white, like Carly Simon), regarless wether I know by other means that he/she has some black ancestry. In other words, I'm against the One Drop Rule.

  • @Poetamo Im just against racism period...So sad that we are having this conversation at all

  • @susiesingz there are saddest things. believe me

  • Americans love to make everything about race. If they didn't make such a meal out of race relations back in the day they wouldn't be having all these problems. The One Drop Rule? The Brown Paper Bag Test? Segregation? REALLY? Who does that? Stupid yanks will never learn.

  • @SoulfulLova Thats funny considering "yanks" are BRITISH Europeans who came to America.....lol

You retarded Brits STOP acting all high and mighty its was YOUR people who started SLAVERY and Killed Millions of INDIANS.

You Brittish also treated MY people like SHIT.... The Sicilian immigrants of the late 1800s and the early 1900s

The BRITISH are Responsible for the Majority of Colonialism on planet earth as well as intitutionalized racism against non WASP western euro & english americans

  • @mrtundra45

    AMEN!!!!

Everyone on the planet agrees with your statement 100% !!!

  • @SoulfulLova Race is everything, you autistic piece of shit.

  • @SoulfulLova

How dare you stereotype the U.S.?!?!?!

Who do you think you are?!?!?!

Obviously you have NEVER lived in the U.S. --- otherwise you would not use 'the internet' and 'the media' as your sources.

The U.S. is NOTHING like 'the internet' and 'the media' negatively portray it.

You do a disservice to yourself & your own nation by being so bigoted against 300 Million people that you have never met and most of whom could NOT care any less about race.

  • @APGifts Thank you! Nicely put

  • @SoulfulLova

And for the record ... Einstein ... the 'One Drop Rule' was BANNED in the U.S. in 1967; the 'Paper Bag Test' is an Urban Myth; AND the U.S. had a Multiracial Box RETURNED to the government forms in 2000 (a full year before the UK even added a Multiracial box at all !!!

  • Tina Turner is 33% white - she's not walking around talking about she is white. who cares?

  • who gives a damn most people in america whether white, black "latino" asian has at least one ancestor of a different race get over it

  • all of this american "race" nonsense gives me a mega headache...no offense but when it comes to white ppl, "race" for some reason becomes a big deal...OBVIOUSLY NOT ALL BLACK PEOPLE ARE THE SAME, JUST LIKE NOT ALL WHITE PEOPLE ARE THE SAME...SO THIS TERM "race" is nothing but an illusion

you are what your father is and he is what his father is, simple as that...you can be of spanish orgins with nigerian ancestrial influence, but that doesnt mean ur "black"

  • But let me address the d...heads who say Ms. Broyard is this and that, well I am people like her have been hated by the darker half all my life. the hatred of dark blacks towards all people mixed in and around black is so set in stone they never want to hear or see the truth of us . we aren't black enough, we pass, we this we that. IF blacks first pluck that beam out of their eyes perhaps they will see us not the mythology of us.

  • at 0:52, that's one of the many privileges that Phil Donahue talked about that comes along with being white in America. Whites like to downplay them and pretend that everyone has a fair shake, but it's not true still to this day.

  • Bliss Broyard is a piece of ass. I first heard of her 2 years ago. She was promoting a book on Fresh Air. The book was about her father passing as white.

  • 20 percent of all whites in this country have Black Blood and they don't even know it

  • @creolelady182 - Who told you that?

  • @Solowizard

I knew the genealogists that worked on the Susie Guillory Phipps case-Her case is the prime example. Google her name and the article will tell you the story

  • @creolelady182

thats right, peachy ass tan, skin, odd blond hair..............spells black to me

  • @creolelady182 33 percent of all whites are said to have black blood. It is probably higher than that haha

  • @chsn09 The majority of Black people in America have White Blood in them.

  • Interesting.

  • what he didn't tell them was that he was a flaming homo and that's why he was in the village all the time

  • being mixed doesn't mean you can't have white skin..

  • no you can be white because some white people with black ancestry still have straight white skin..

  • WHO GIVES A FUCK? My father looks the same as your dad and he of the same ancestry, and he is a white man, he is 85 percent white and is a WHITE man, I went around telling people my dad was black and they thought I was crazy. Get over yourself you're not unique and your dad isn't black he's a white man.

  • Comment removed

  • She's not white.

  • What year is this any how 1939?

  • how sad.

  • im mulatto, and i have sorta black hair a slimmer but not thin nose and light skin (lighter in winter and darker in summer of course)

  • HER FATHER CROSSED OVER,BLKS HAVE BEEN DOIN IT SINCE SLAVERY.AT LEAST HE DIDNT DIE WITH THE SECRET LIKE OTHER SO CALL WHT PPL.I HEARD ABOUT A WHT COUPLE HAVIN A BLK BABY,COME TO FIND OUT THAT SHE WAS ADOPTED .HER DAD IS BLK N HER WHT MOM GAVE HER UP N MARRIED WHT,DIDNT WANT TO UPSET HER WHT FAMILY (KIDS/HUSBAND) A SECRET AGAIN,THIS IN THE 80S.HER AFRICAN DAD N HIS FAMILY ACCEPTED N LOVE HER.

  • what many whites don't realize is that IF YOU HAVE BROWN HAIR AND BROWN EYES you have a nonwhite ancestor (probably black).

white people are BLONDE HAIR BLUE EYES AND PALE!

  • @message2blackwomen...message 2 a moron...go back and finish the 3rd grade and this time don't eat your own shit in the back of the classroom...it will make you even more stupid, than you already are

  • @message2blackwomen Yeah but then again all white people are essential something because we are albinos or something form India Hitler said so.

  • @omega4chimp i don't see what you mean to say here

  • @message2blackwomen we are like albinos from 10 000 years ago we must of ran away from africa or something. nobody actually knows.

  • @omega4chimp Actually your origin and story are well known. Of course it will not be legitimized by the white historical authorities but the history IS avalible for you to read research and verify!

get a book called "The Making of the Whiteman" by Paul Guthrie This man set out to historically DISPROVE the account of white origins told by Elijah Muhammad and it will provide you will lots of research material as to hidden history.

  • @omega4chimp LOL nigger

  • @ahahahahah really??? firs of all it seems you people don't understand that being a "mixture" of cultures is the most beautiful thing, no matter if black , irish italian or whatever... second i'm 100% italian and i don't really think i have any black ancestor but still my hair and my eyes are brown as shit.

  • who is her father? why have we never heard of him?

  • wow!

  • I love quadroons. Where are the qudroons? Come out and be proud and stop passing as white!

  • The slave masters really did a job on black people..damn no wonder there is much confusion.

  • This is a white woman, who has a black ancestor...big WHOOP.

Get over it and realize that whites will laugh at your story and blacks will too.

You live a totally WHITE life so don't go looking for Kunta Kinte and then saying how "black" you are. USA is FULL of people like this who don't know it and if they all went around telling the world how black they are, it would be one big joke. Go to Uganda and tell them how black you are and see how they laugh. Silly Americans and their race games.

  • @andreasroncevalle actually i think that most whites probably wouldn't bring it up. especially southern whites.

  • @andreasroncevalle very true but they should still want to know that part of themselves

  • @andreasroncevalle Honestly, I don't think that she would want to be black or seen as black anyway.

  • @Thedarksecret1 No, her father didn't want that. That's why he passed-largely for work reasons.

He wasn't alone either-a number of people did so as well.

She doesn't need to pass for anything.

  • y u so angrey you priick!!!!

  • @andreasroncevalle Her father was 30% black, so she's 15%. It's quite significant ancestry if you don't know it and I think it's good she embraces her creole heritage. I don't think she takes the liberty to call herself black though.

  • @jovialduke - creole? Who said anything about creole?

  • @jovialduke Tina Turner is 33% white - she's not walking around talking about she is white. who cares?

  • @jovialduke 'the liberty' you know.

  • @andreasroncevalle She isn't white. White people are unmixed. She's an American negro.

  • @DollaBiIIz...it think it's time to take your "dolla" & wipe your stupid face. You are the typical afro-centric buffoon..ANYWHERE ELSE in the world she is a white woman with a black ancestor.HOWEVER,in your colossal stupidity YOU prefer to believe in the ignorance of the 1-drop rule which was invented by a SYPHILITIC,TOOTHLESS,ILLITERATE dirty-ass WHITE slaver in the American South to increase the number of people he could classify as SLAVES & keep ENSLAVED. Good luck believing MASSAH. Jerk!

  • @andreasroncevalle Cool story. Do you have a source?

  • @andreasroncevalle

In this response you made yourself sound ignorant and stupid and no better than DollaBillz. DollaBillz is NOT a black person. So in reference to your "afrocentric buffoon" remark, do some research on the term afrocentric and what it really means before you degrade a certain part of black American culture with whatever bullshit information spread to you. DollaBillz is a bigot who degrades blacks as being inferior. Simple as that. And please, stop thinking that EVERY

  • @andreasroncevalle

SINGLE BLACK PERSON believes in that one drop bullshit. Like yourself, most black people know the origin of these racially divisive terms during slavery. So don't go thinking that every black American is some ignorant, uneducated asshole obsess with playing "race games." You seem to have this idea of Americans being intellectually inferior, when in fact you really don't know shit about American culture, except what you were expose to in life or through media.

  • Comment removed

  • @DollaBiIIz like it or not she's predominately white and white people are very much mixed. either get over it or commit suicide. hopefully you'll pick the latter. trust me, you won't be missed.

  • @FuckUtube4Life2010 One drop of black blood makes you non-white. Deal with it.

  • @DollaBiIIz that's the most idiotic thing i've ever heard. but what do i expect from another neo-nazi racist. the reality is everyone has at least "one drop" of black blood, so if that's the case i suppose your peckerwood ass is non-white. and don't say that you're 100% caucasoid, because that's not even genetically possible and even if it were, how would you know? you would have to confirm that with a DNA test-like she did-which i'm sure you haven't done. grow a brain you stupid faggot. lmfao

  • Comment removed

  • @DollaBiIIz i've been to your page and you seem really confused. you seem to be having a serious identify crisis. you don't know whether your black or white apparently. i suggest you get some medicine and some therapy because you seriously need it.

  • Comment removed

  • @andreasroncevalle you sound like a real angry person that needs some serious therapy. get a life you faggot.

  • @andreasroncevalle had she be living down 150 yeara ago she would have a slave. I admire her honesty

  • Hey movie producer:

    Rule #1:

Don't have the music be louder than the person talking.

    That's just annoying.

  • I am reading her book now and i am thankful she shared her journey with us. It is fascinating and informative. As a 'white' chick growing up near Detroit in the 50's,60's and 70's, it answered tons of questions i had and still have. How we all look at race and how racism affects us. and how it is necessary to be militant and diligent in learning and exposing it in our lives and thought patterns.

  • @dianemar Iam curious. What questions do you have and about what specifically?

It is not just how we look at race that affects us bhow the larger society sees race and what barriers and obstacles have been employed to deal with and contain people of color primarily blacks.

  • This chick is hot. I'd do all dirty things to her.

  • @Rockstafeller Yes, U are right!I am as lanky as Pres.Paul Kagami, similar nilotic features but a little darker. It only proves how diverse we Africans are.Nobody gives a damn about what percentage African one carries in Africa so don't worry about that.In Madagascar everybody is mixed and are all 100% African. So is Sechelles,Kenya,Tanzania(Zanzibar). To be frank it is the least of their problems. What is amazing is to see one's own sublings(same parents) with different shades of colour & features.

  • ROFL I truly wonder how someone saying "my great grandmother was black" changes acceptance from white community

  • @MultiSmartass1Thanks!I don't think people should be forced to choose sides.I carry about 20% of MiddleEastern genes ,5% other &the rest Afrcan but look 100%African.I decided to check when more than trice Tutsi-Rwandans mates identified me as Tutsi. The fact is I don't even come from East Africa.Yes,they might be right that I have Nilotic lineage. As African growing up in Europe I learned to enjoy all these cultures including Rwandan culture and don't care so long as I feel good about it.

  • @Beesahili You are mixed and you look mixed thats why they asked you are you Tutsi, coz Tutsi have cushite ancestry

  • octoroons or quadroons dont PASS for white, they ARE White for fuck's sake!

  • @Rockstafeller LOL. Hey, I'm with you. But it's the other people you have to convince and I dont mean black people. I would not consider the woman in the video "black". I would consider her mixed white. When I see white people who look like her I know they have African ancestry, but I don't think of them as black. Now if she married a black man I would. Just like with Obama. Black does not mean 100% in the US. It never has and never will. I would say move to another country if this bothers ya.

  • @Rockstafeller Nope! They are not white! they are mixed! some quadroons still show traces of black ancestry so it depends!

  • @Rockstafeller LOL! Octroons and quadroons are NOT white! Sorry! They are not necessarily black either but they are essentially NON white! In the USA it is all about who is white and who is NOT white!

You need to complain to white ppl about this! They started it! most AAs actually are supportive of mixed race ppl etc! AAs are usually accepting!

  • @Rockstafeller That is bullcrap! Again you confuse AA for black! Not all black identified ppl are AA you know!

  • @Rockstafeller AAs are NOT loving a one drop rule! Ppl seem to confuse solidarity and reaching out to others as being one drop rule and THAT is sad because ppl who are anti one drop rule often use the one drop rule on others which is quite ironic contradictory and sad!

  • @chsn09 you must have not remember the debate that was in 90s. most of AAs were like saying you're multiracial = Black is worse

  • @Rockstafeller What do you mean that in the 90s AAs were saying your multiracial = black is worse? explain for me please!

  • @chsn09 Some AA's are supportive of Bi-racial people but most are not and that is largely though not entirely because of the unconcious adoption of the one drop rule.

Many blacks believe if you have any black blood you are black.

All you need to look at confirmation is the reaction from AA communities when Tiger Woods announced his biraciality-they scorned and made fun of Woods.

Biraciality isn't any more accepted by blacks than whites.

Biracials are only accepted by black only as blacks.

  • @MultiSmartass1 LOL! The one drop rule has been OUTLAWED since 1967 and mulattoes had their own category on the USA census until 1930 but after that time w/ the heightening of the ONE DROP RULE and JIM CROW LAWS! In the 1930s because of this and the elimination of the mulatto category, those mulattoes wh could pass as/for white BECAME white and those mulattoes that could not pass became BLACK!

  • @MultiSmartass1 That is total bullshit! I too am also a writer and use big words but hey I don't mind playing your game! Please use all the big words you want to if that is how you right!

  • @chsn09 Iam not playing a game and since when does typing a response on a youtube page qualify as being a writer? Perhaps in your dreams.

A real writer would not refer to the verbiage used as "big words". That sounds like something a wanna be writer would say.

This is the shame of the internet: that people with inferior intellects like you have delusions of intellectual grandeur.

The very fact you misspell write as "right" indicates you are nothing more than uneducated trash.

  • @MultiSmartass1, Chsn09 is right there is no "one drop rule". If you want to be white and you look it please go on. If you want to ride the fence, thats cool too. But please stop twisting history around. Now, go on and be white or biracial. Whatever you want. I personally think people should stop haphazardly making mixed kids for all the problems and drama they suffer through. It also causes friction in families, race baiting, in-fighting, and sadly more hatred. I feel sorry for these kids. Damn

  • @WhereYaBoss Thank you WhereYaBoss---- apparently ignorance is a bliss among a CHOSEN SOME? SMFH when will ppl learn!

  • @WhereYaBoss Oh, you again.

well, it clear that you are against people of mixed race and bi-racials from your comments.

I can't say iam surprised. You must been treated badly by biracial people or something. Maybe some boy you liked rejected you.

    Whatever, I don't give a shit.

You're entitled to dislike biracials all you want.

However, arguing the one drop rule didn't exist is a historical lie.

You should have paid attention in history class instead of goofing off.

  • @MultiSmartass1 I think you are just a fool and just want to make yourself look smart! And jesus christ, I made one typing error and you say I am uneducated trash? You are funny! EVERYTHING YOU WRITE AND SAY IS A FURTHER TESTAMENT TO YOUR STUPIDITY AND IGNORANCE AND HATE YOU ARE EXPRESSING AND VENTING THROUGH YOUR COMMENTS!

Also everything you say alone discredits everything you blow out of your cum filled oral hole! You are already more stupid than is already apparent!

  • @chsn09 It was an obvious and ignorant typing error.

No real professional would spell write as right.

It was an admission of your utter incompetence and stupidity.

You can blame me all you want and try to use transference on me all you like but it will not stop the fact that you are a feeble minded fool and not a real writer.

If you are a writer, it would be clear that standards have precipitously dropped.

Now run along and get a GED and do something with your life.

  • @MultiSmartass1 LMAO xD! Sorry I am a writer and ok so who cares if I made one mistake! At the end of hte day you are ignorant and it shows tremendously in your disparaging comments!
