I put mine on an effects loop, and in order to get the signal louder i put a boost on it, so now there is on and off, and use the 72 patch at about 4.2 its awesome

And my opinion is that people dont take guitar players seriously because there is a lot of them and people just can't make the distinction between a good and a bad one, especially this type of equipment blocks your way on training, improving your skills :)
@halfsac21 dude, of course cutting a big hole in ur guitar is going to change the tone. also most metal players use such high output pickups that the word 'tone' is hardly appropriate
@halfsac21 I've seen people use RCA Male to 1/4" Female cables to run the guitar through a Kaoss Pad, and they just taped it onto the top of the guitar. Running the guitar through all those wires might also effect the tone, but I dunno how much, if at all. Really though, unless you plan on using it all the time or only have one guitar, I think a little tone sacrifice for a couple of songs wouldn't hurt, not if it's balanced out by the use of interesting effects.

well Muse uses a much higher quality device than a mini KP, which requires more wires and a pedal, because it can be manipulated using a computer or the pedal, while the MKP would need more cables if you were recording with it, but you arnt

@MrArfaaa Idk if they would work with hollowbodies. Because it isn't a particularily easy-to-manipulate type of guitar (sound-wise) hollow-bodies like electric-acoustics wouldn't be much good to the guitar, seeing as the top is probably one of the most important factors to the guitar's resonance and sound. Also, it wouldn't compliment the sound of the guitar. However, any guitar that requires amplification, like a solidbody, semi-hollow, even an archtop-type model, could use this system.
@BestFail1 I'd have to ask my dad for question 1, but it is run by batteries, which are replaceable (you can take the pad out), and he did it himself.

matt doesnt have the kaoss inside his guitar ! he has an xy pad which he can control almost anything by midi . but matt usually (if not always) controls a kaoss pad through the xy pad .

hey man, excellent stuff. i was going to do this with a kp2, but a minikp seems easier to do (just what you said, everything's internal, beautiful!). could you/your dad just explain how you did it so it's all outputted through the 1/4" jack? like, what did you have to connect to what, inside the guitar?
We changed the faceplate on this guitar from the one shown to a black lexan and replaced the inexpensive neck pickup with a nice Di Marzio AreaT model. I will try to get an updated video up with a better demo of it's capabilities. It is pretty amazing what this thing can do. Possibilities are almost unlimited

This project started on a whim with a guitar kit from Grizzly Industrial. I will try to post some basic instructions for people interersted in the modification It really isn't that difficult to do. Since this video was posted I have changed the mounting frame for the Kaoss pad to black lexan and put in a better neck pickup. It looks and sounds much better

hey, good video. kaoss pads are awesome. i have a few questions:
1)how did you manage to connect it so that there is only one wire coming out of it instead of several?
2)What is powering the kaoss pad because i no it uses bateries so im wondering if you replace bateries or if the guitar is powering it or something

We changed the faceplate on this guitar from the one shown to a black lexan and replaced the inexpensive neck pickup with a nice Di Marzio AreaT model. I will try to get an updated video up with a better demo of it's capabilities. It is pretty amazing what this thing can do. Possibilities are almost unlimited

This project started on a whim with a guitar kit from Grizzly Industrial. I will try to post some basic instructions for people interersted in the modification It really isn't that difficult to do. Since this video was posted I have changed the mounting frame for the Kaoss pad to black lexan and put in a better neck pickup. It looks and sounds much better

actually i've done this to my guitar like 2 years ago. i was suprised when you added the toggle switch to switch from guitar to koass. lol i have it wired the same. down guitar, up kaoss. pretty rad. but i've done allot with mine. i'll upload a vid

so? it is a telecaster type guitar its probably got one of those stupid long names. its just easyer to call it a telecaster and i said it was ruined because of how it looked. i know a guitar is about the sound but you dont want an ugly one do you?

As for Green Day being good... they're derivative, unoriginal and fake. They basically Beatlemania-doing a tribute to The Clash. Fake dyed hair, posing, posturing... sure, it's great for children who aren't interested in real music. Someday you'll grow up and you'll hopefully understand. But you probably STILL won't understand the difference between 'than' and 'then' . But of course, you mix those up 'on purpose'... right?

Actually, I've producted TONS of stuff... all you've SEEN is that one video that I did to test out Windows movie maker - to see about youtube hosting the many hours of calls that I have (again-which have been featured on Stern and written about in many places)

Bellamy (Muse) don't have an integrated kaoss pad, but a midi touch screen controler. He doesn't use the shit Kaoss pad effects.
