    However i like p m a m i is good for Granainas . But i will study this style

  • @Romichouu Excuse me , do you have ebook how to tremolo of Mr Sabicas ??? Or Famous Guitarist . Thank

  • @VinhHien1710 No I'm sorry... but I have a score of his Arabian Fantasym which is not the same, but you have this kind of tremolo... (but I think this part is quite wrong...)

  • Maestro Sabicas

  • I was lucky enough to listen to him and Mario Escudero and watch Anita Ramos dance and play castanets a few times at the El Poce restaurant's Rincon room in San Gabriel. Also attended Sabicas' concert at Wilshire Ebell. I learned some flamenco licks on my old Martin nylon string guitar from fellow Sabicas fan, Dale Alexander and Freddie Noad. Sabicas was one of the pioneering greats, there are a lot of good aficianados 50 years later.

  • O_o WOWWWWWWWW!!!

  • Increible Sabicas!!

  • mi gusta

  • I've got a recording of him playing this at a different time, and I was always under the impression that it was an improvisation (at least to some degree) but in this performance he does everything the same even down to the accelerating tempo parts, only very slight differences told the two recordings apart, that is phenomenal.

  • thats not nylon is it?

  • @grevejp44 This is without a doubt, nylon.

  • @grevejp44 It actually is nylon.

  • el inventor de flamenco instrumental

  • this proves that Arabian music can be played on guitar

take that my guitar teacher !!!!

  • god damn it !! this guy gets it!! He plays it as if he were an Arab... He surely done his research... such mysticism and beauty !!

BTW I'm an Arabian who plays and composes Arabic tunes :]

  • Great!

  • "wow.. unreal..my gosh.. this is amazing..i feel incredible"-piccolo

  • unreal

  • Is he using a fingerpick or is his thumbnail just really long ?

  • @morfij

    Never heard of him before...

It is so lovely and heartbreaking to see that he is bowing his head down all the time, caressing his guitar. He's in love.

So am I, with his music. Amazing, beautiful!.

Thank you so much for introducing him!

    My life feels completer now.

  • Thanks a lot , my friend! Wonderful piece and brilliant playing! I like it very much! You are a great guitarist! I wish you all the best, also for your country! See you soon. Subbed also:). Congrats for your music, 5* and best regards Karlheinz

  • thanks for the upload

Francisco.

  • ¡Señor Sabicas es muy bueno!

¡Me gusta muchísimo la música de Sabicas!

  • NEVER BEFORE GUITAR SOUND LIKE BOUZOUKI SO MUCH!!! EXTREME GOOD PLAY

  • : D Para bailar!!

  • El Maestro Grande

  • belissimo!!!

  • it's awesome!!!

  • I consider myself eclectic when it comes to music and I've appreciated good music no matter what the genre. Concerts, festivals, raves I'd trade it all for an hour of Sabicas live.

  • @yatotheser I have had the honour to see him play and make pictures of him (as his photographer on tour). He's the Grandmaster of the guitar and the best who ever walked the face of the earth... He educated people like Paco de Lucia etc., but no one will ever be able to stand in his shadow...

  • @DanaFritzy You are a very lucky man!

  • in the late '60s sabicas and gabor szabo were very refreshing

  • This video must have 6 million visits, what sh.........Maestro perdonalos por su ignorancia.

  • This is abslotutely ingenious!

  • 10 people became jealous gave up guitar and disliked the video because they couldn't play like motherfucking Sabicas.

  • can someone give me the sheets of this masterpiece ?? i am duing to try my guitar with it .....

  • @whitedragonio you should try to get this by ear. this is not just a fantastic composition, but also is a great ear training exercise. good look!

  • cool

  • I have been listening to Sabicas for about 50 years + The more I listen the more I fall in love with his music and interpretation. I also listen other guitarists play Mourish music and Malaguen traditional Flamenco etc. It is like looking from the top of the Eempire State Building down the street. Maybe in three hundred years God will give us an other genius like Sabicas.

  • Sabicas is the gift of God to Humanity. Humbly bow to your mastery.

  • Sabicas is the gift of God to Humanity. Humbly bow to your mastery

  • Im a full blown atheist but here is a true GOD of GUITAR .... this man makes me want cry with his touch of his instrument, the sounds, the tone of a man who is in perfect balance with his guitar in every sense....perfection if i was 1% a player of this man i would be satisfied....SABICAS HAIL!!

  • Ever notice how Sabicas' hands look deformed just like Pepe Romeros? ..... weird

  • Arabic Music was the real starter of Spanish music. It is the reason Spanish music has its spice and fervor. The Arabs brought it to Spain with their invasion there, and now, we have this magnificent man honor it with a spectacular piece that captures it all.

  • i really enjoyed listening to some Arabic music! I love Arabic music!

  • Loved it so much, Tnx so much.

  • The creator of "flamenco guitar". 'nuff said.

  • Born in 1912 this is the Original Shredder on Guitar! Sabicas Lives forever!

  • el guitarrista mas grande que ha dado el flamenco

  • Excellent !!

  • genio absoluto, con notas que van más allá de su epoca. Visionario de la guitarra

  • a quien no le puede gustar esto?

  • can anyone plz send me the scale that he is using in it?

  • @mijo992 which scale? It's Dminor with the 6th string dropped down to D

  • Comment removed

  • 2:01, 2:49 and 3:46 are the toughest parts for me. The rest is easier than one might think. What makes this piece so tough overall is the strength and precision you have to play with without any rest strokes. I do play it at shows though and it always gets a great response. Haven't gotten a good enough version on video yet though...

  • and those quintuplets...holy shit lol

  • im loving his rhythm

i suppose he was just trying out a more middle eastern feel

    success!

its like stepping from spain to morrocco for a little bit

  • @sxwee This palo is called "Zambra Mora", it's a Gypsy dance with strong Arabian influence.

  • Wow...did any of you guitarists notice that he's playing in dropped D?

  • @busyjones yeah and the harmonic minor key his playin

  • @wandereronnet - muito lindo amigo! obrigado

@morfij - this is amazing! Thanks for bringing this to us!

  • Very nice song

  • Comment removed

  • Absolutely amazing. The control he has over this instrument is god-like.

  • Can someone tell me the advantage of playing the thumb lines as he does over playing apoyando with the thumb? And how does he do that without hitting the other strings? Is he muting with the left hand?

  • @JohnOpheim

yeah he does alot of muting with his left

he has quite a fast thumb! : o

  • @sxwee I expressed myself wrong: you can replace the part at 0:25 with the thumb doing a rest stroke and at 3:55 with the thumb doing free stroke. I don't know how he does those parts with his fingers so easily...

  • Wow.

  • w arabian dance!!!!!!!!!!!

  • soo good!!!! does anybody habe any tab of this??? youll gain my friendship forever ;D

  • @transylvania23 tabs? you're doin' it wrong

  • @transylvania23 I figured it out by watching...

  • this makes me cry twice a day, thanks to Sabicas !

  • so what's the name of this piece? Just "Arabian Dance"? Who wrote it?

  • El virtuoso se hace, no nace. A practicar, a practicar!

  • holy fuck.....thats all i can say

  • amazing

  • The greatest.... what class!

Gracias por ponerla, este hombre era arte viviente.

  • Whover didn't like this should be hunted down!!!

  • @xiocrafter probably the same people who think van halen is one of the greats

  • @xiocrafter get the CIA to do it they are experts on terrorism lol

  • @xiocrafter can some help fix this video it keeps freezing at a minute and 7 seconds

  • This's God!

  • Sabicas' talent with a guitar was unbelievable; bravo sir.

  • who the fuck are the 8 retards that disliked this?????????

  • @danfabbro lmao. great question.

  • @danfabbro self-absorbed people who think that yngwie malmsteen is the greatest in the world.while flatpicking gives you speed, it fails to tap the real potential of the guitar. using fingers is still better in my opinion.

  • @danfabbro Those are the ones who gets filled with hate when they see or hear the name "ARAB."

  • @Fussinated Yeh those idiots!

  • @danfabbro I think they are Americans

  • @alhotti

This is magnificent and i'm an american.I saw him live 3x in L.A.

He had an Apartment in New york.

    What musicality.

  • @danfabbro I'll have to agree. As exciting as Paco De Lucia's playing is, as well as a host of other flamencos, there is something that sets Sabica apart from all the others. I've never seen another flamenco with technical skills quite like his. Just check out 2:36 and the seconds that follow. Just my opinion.

  • @danfabbro dude even retards would kno that this is music at its purest level (no disrespect)

  • @danfabbro ... they didn't dislike; they just have their head upside down :) ...

  • @danfabbro Probably Paco De Lucia snobs. Why does it always have to be De Lucia against everyone instead of one family of toqueadores? It's absurd.

  • @danfabbro they were just scared to like something so massively amazing.

  • interesting looking capo ;)

  • Makes me think of Prince of Persia :) But very impressive playing

  • Quien sabe donde se puede comprar esta partitura

  • My jealousy is overcome by my sense of awe. I can only dream and wish I were nearly as good.....Damn.

  • insane ! This man is unbelivable. I wish he had time to compose more music. thanks for sharing

  • Sabicas is a genious!!!!!!

  • No wonder Robbie Krieger of The Doors was so influenced by this man, you can hear it in the music.

  • I am an avid record collector and my collection is superb with only thee cream of the crop and Sabicus is in there! His album Flamenco reflections is an excellent example of the pureness of Sabicus.

  • @bytoriasnowdoggy this song is on the above mentioned album.....a kikazz rendition ....just the man and his guitar.

  • I am an avid record collector and my collection is superb with only thee cream of the crop and Sabicus is in there! His album Flamenco reflections is an excellent example of the pureness of Sabicus.

  • Yes i agree with all of you , because... well if you don't like this you are crazy...

    this is amazing!

  • Sabicas set the standards for many that followed. It is a remarkable experience to listen his music and watch him play. He made it look so easy when we know that it is not. He was the master.

  • @abby161919 Ignorant dickhole, "Zambra Mora" is a flamenco palo influenced by Arabian musik.

  • Una Zambra maravillosa, como todo lo de Sabicas.

    Un saludo.

  • Incredible,

You can hear his style and his way of playing in almost all other masters of the flamenco guitar. Just listen to e.g. Paco de Lucia.

  • Excelent!

    Recomend also: Sabicas La Cumparsita

  • es una de las cosa mas bonitas que e escuchado en mi vida gracias masestro sabicas

  • i cant believe that a human can be this good whit one instrument. my brain exploded with that amount of talent. my god...its a shame he died twenty years ago.....

  • really amazing. its so hard for me to tremelo/alternate pick with i and m while plucking alternating base notes... this looks extreme!

  • awsome !!!!

  • ¡Qué maravilla!

  • Thank you alot. So wonderful. Youtube is for persons like you!

  • Regarding ZebNemeth's "stiff pinky" observation. This is a flamenco guitar technique which allows damping or stopping of more than one string at a time and can be used for rhythmic accents as well.

  • nice
