If you ever want a teary-eyed moment in a sitcom, always place a Keane tune centre stage for extra emotional baggage, as it'll make yeah cry every time.
It's true really, the very same thing happened with my grandmother. She held on just long enough for everyone to say goodbye. And when everyone had, I took her hand and told her it was okay to go, we'd all be okay. She passed away only seconds later.
So that thing about people holding on untill everyone's had the chance to say goodbye. I know people will say it isn't the same... but it is to me so fuck you guys :-D My dog was dying and my mum woke me up one morning to tell me he seemed like he wasabout to go so i ran down the stairs and he went like 15 seconds after I got there.
I loved this episode but it was hurtful, u actually enjoyed watching all the show and this was hard for me to see as she left. Still I still enjoy the show.
its strange because if leverne isnt on scene in scrubs i dont remember her much...and i never really counted her as one of the characters that i love but this was so sad, i just cried and cried...especially when carla said goodbye... R.I.P. leverne
@bokprop420 No serious go practice more, you aren't tugging on any strings here, just random trolololing, you need more preparation work... like effective trolls get a rise out of someone, you just look like an idiot.

One of my favorite parts of this clip was when Dr. Cox puts the beers down on the table, Kelso says thanks and he says "truth be told, this is on that guy" and points to the janitor. It showed that no matter how weird all of them are and no matter how much they may not fit in anywhere else, they're all one big family, even the janitor
uhh, stop being a troll. If you hate scrubs so much, why the hell are you on a video that's title has the word scrubs in it. Get a life, whoever you are.

this scene and the scene from ben's funeral i think are the saddest parts of scrubs. and scrubs always has something to teach you about life, weather its to forgive, forget, or to let someone be there for you. there is always a message to be found.

The reason behind this was that Laverne had done her job and it was time for her to come home. Day in and day out she had been tested in her faith in that hospital and had stayed strong through it all. And wither he believes it or not she even managed to convince Dr. Cox that there is a greater plan behind the daily suffering. Rest in Peace Nurse Laverne. RIP
@wolfpaws13 yea, or maybe some of those who disliked it were just actually sad that Leverne died...it's a great video clip/show, but how can you 'like' someone dying...for the record I "liked" it, but that's just a different perspective for you...
I loved Laverne she was so sweet and funny, its such a shame. I mean not as sad as Ben's death (ohgodbenimisshimsomuch FFFFF- *cries*) but still you wouldn't expect her to die that way. I mean... it's just so sad...Elliot's goodbye speech lightened things some, but then Carla's made me sad.
Also... Dr. Cox LIEEEESSSS when he says "Nooo, I'm a sane person." Ben totally followed him around, that was probably the point thoug- damn it I'm crying- oh wait now I'm laughing xD
@hichixichifoeva hahaha *sob, sob* i was crying while reading and then i started laughing too, and then i cried and lauged at the same time... and then i stop, read some more comments and started to cry again
Ive never really paid attention to Leverne before, she didn't seem that important to be honest. I tried not to cry at Carla's speech .. But even though it is only a tv show, it just goes to prove that you never really realise how much someone means to you untill they're gone.
I heard the reason for Laverne's (Aloma Wright) death was: Season 6 was suppose to be the last season. But, it got renewed. Bill Lawrence promised Aloma a job if scrubs was renewed, so she ended up being Nurse Shirley aka Laverneagain.
this was the saddest episode of scrubs.. i cried also on this episode cause she reminded me of my grandma b4 she died.. always talking about the JESUS...

Well, technically Ben wasn't a ghost, he was a figment of Cox's imagination. The difference between Laverne and Ben is that while Laverne is following Carla around, Laverne is still alive. However, Ben is already dead while Cox is being followed by his 'ghost.'
i've seen a lot of sad movies. the notebook, moulin rouge, big fish, you know. but NOTHING gets me the way this does. absolutely tragic. i love laverne.<3
the director didnt think that scrubs would get another season, so he killed laverne, but he told the actress that do laverne that if scrubs gets another season, he would bring her back, somehow...
same actress that plays Laverne...just different character her name is Shelly this time, but JD is the only person who says she looks really familiar and that she reminds him of a nurse that used to work there. aka Laverne.
ITS LAVERNE! NOT LEVERNE GAH YOU PEOPLE SICKEN ME.... now on a more serious part, whhhhhhyyyyyyyy D: oh and turk's right, they do always kill the blacks off first
actually they killed her off then whithout telling her her contract had ended fired her. bill felt bad so he let her back on the show to play as a new nurse called shirley and only jd noticed her reseblance to laverne :P
@Beefie11 Actually-actually they killed her off because they thought that season would be the last. When it wasn't, they wanted to bring back the actress.
Gotta go look at what newyawker123 said..

@Beefie11 not what i heard but whatever.
in fact if that were true you'd expect a little resistance from her but she seems to have played her part well right up until her death.

@Beefie11 Actually-actually they killed her off because they thought that season would be the last. When it wasn't, they wanted to bring back the actress.

I don't like it, Laverne was the best character in Scrubs, miss her so much.
