  • thats crazy lol

  • this thing on higher boost and some slicks would rape all

  • fucking boss!!!!

  • That cars sick. I love the crx

  • im applauding in my head . that the first rhd conversion ive seen . i have a em1 2k b16 vt head ls block , b16 hydro tranny . im planning to buy a crx soon before their extinct :D

  • this car is against all ricers .. this is a mad classic<3

  • Nice but ..... i would not do it.. ill have you do it for me

  • this is a paul oakenfold song... tranceport? damn that was a good cd. and this is a fucking awsome car... i want one

  • @Rustystud its actually paul van dyk.. but it is on tranceport, i still have that cd.. one of the best!

  • very very good job..ur patience is impressive

  • thats some furious shifting hes doing at 1:30!

  • that better have LSD

  • now you just gotta throw a stock dual point d15 gut everything inside the block/head/transmission and race for slips :D

  • i bet people in the crowd were like WTF when they saw you doin a burnout with the rear wheels haha. does it understeer pretty bad under power?

  • @omgwtfbbqgtfo lol are you serious? it'll oversteer, not understeer. stupid fwd nubbins. you most definitely should stick to your hondas.

  • @KayC2SLO lol my bad. i don't know much about imports, i'm a 2wd minitruck guy myself. i'm not an import hater though, you guys do some pretty bad ass stuff to those little things!

  • was this dynoed at modacar in livermore when it was still there???

  • I'm Planing on do this to my 94 Delsol make make it an over sized gokart

  • I want to somebody build one of these but awd with a motor in the front and in the back : ) just somthing unique

  • @2424kara while we're add it let's turbo both motors. not enough power! let's add a motor for each wheel! and twin turbo that!

  • that thing is sick. Is the intercooler being cooled by the wind coming from underneath the car or what? If not, may I suggest moving it to the front of the car? The exhaust seems like it would be heating up the intercooler before the air gets into the engine.

    Sick ride though!

  • @Makaveliadam longer tubing affects turbo responce. obviously there's a reason he got the times he did, and he was as quick as he was... theorists. -_-

  • nice job man, thumps up

  • Fukiin love this car!!

  • this thing is insane. im so impressed.

  • you should top mount your intercooler

  • Sweet car Zimsplat!!!!!

  • doesn't that have weird torque steer without a rear end? doesn't one tire normally spin more than the other? i'm confused about how that effects your driving.

  • @larabie2007 Do you even know what torque steer is? Its odvious you dont.. Torque steer is provided when the drive wheels also steer the car. So now its pretty much the same as any rwd independant rear suspended car. ie: '99 Cobras, Lambroghinis, Porshe and on and on...

  • @rockyghfdet2000 ah that's awesome :) i wasn't dissing or anyhthing, just used to my civic fwd only one tire spins most of the time...so i was wondering if that happened to you in rwd...i guess like non lsd?

  • @larabie2007 You thru me when you said torque steer.. And the Honda is Zimsplat's

  • How difficult is that to do .... And great job I love it mad respect dawg!!!!!

  • very neat

  • is this thing for sale? fucken sweeet dude!

  • @hmglor It is for sale!

  • @zimsplat

    how much?

  • @hmglor open to all offers.

  • @zimsplat u have a writeup or anything for this awesome piece of machinery what did u do from the axels leaving the tranny to the wheels? any issues threre? front axle assembly or did u use the rear or what

  • I have 2 CRX's and I love this car! But why did you convert it to a rear motor setup if you don't mind me asking?

  • Shit! Those HP/TQ #s are impressive!

  • @DOHCEJ22E1 check out the new build #'s

  • holy shit......that's a sick ass rex. job well done.

  • damn. miust hae been back breaking

  • 1 person likes domestics.

  • Alright man mad props but I got some questions I need answered. Did you make your cradle ?? or did you even need one ? 2nd are you mad at your car ? Cause it looks like your letting out some anger with those shifts lol. One last thing I know from driving crx's for the past 10 years its hard as hell to do a stand still burn out in such a light car I thought it would be easier in a rwd setup please try again =( mad love

  • this is probably got to be one of the coolest CRXs i have ever seen

  • i have allways wanted to see someone do exactly this, you have made my life perfect now lol

  • Put put a Type-R head

  • you should ut a motor in front and back of the car

  • Im no Honda person but wow, you get major props for that little monster!

  • i like the rear mount lol

  • this makes me think ya the crx was made FF (Front engine Front wheel drive), and FR (Front engine Rear wheel drive) wouldnt have been any good but what if they made it RR (Rear engine Rear wheel drive) like the toyota mrs, it would have been amazing

  • did you have custom axles made for this ?

  • @Dallo16 Stock intergra axles

  • @zimsplat yo man, honestly, fuck can i meet u to shake ur hand, amazing job, and when u shifted to second and slid sideways, were u not scared shitless?

  • hey i live in fortuna and go out to samoa ...but where is that dyno at

  • @denial95 Manteca CA.

  • @zimsplat is it possible to put the inter cooler in the front?

  • @TheMattingo that would add lots of lag to spooling boost due to the all the piping. If his current setup isn't enough, then a water to air intercooler imo would be the best setup

  • turbo + rwd, you have killed the CRX spirit

  • Bone stock? lol Any modification to a car makes a car not stock.

  • its funny to see inter cooler in the back of the car.

  • @ABINSK its pointless.

do you honda people have something against nice looking cars? why is it that every honda i see that's been modified looks like it was pulled from a salvage yard? seriously, get some interior panels and make the car look nice. paint it all the same color. and if you think it'll be too heavy, then mod the engine components a little more. you'll never be a great tuner until you learn how to make a 1000 HP car showroom worthy.

  • @BrodieSkiddlz dude U should re read my comment I just said that it looks funny to see the intercooler in the back of the car, because its unusual. How many cars do u see with the intercooler in the back of the car?

  • bro if u clean up the interior and make the exterior look nice u could make it in a honda tuning mag

  • that's freaken sweet how did it take you to built that set up?

  • great conversion !!!!!

  • great conversion !!!!!

  • May i ask why you put it MR not FR?

  • @Feralspirit15 i would think because of uniqe-ness and because you would be able to use the same engine and tranny

  • I love the tires barking on the residential street lol

  • Nice job!

  • I'm 85% domestic cars and I have to say this is impressive in the way it was built.

  • me wanty! lol

  • nice job very creative

  • im just curious is this faster then FWD or is the mid engine quicker? im thinking about doing a mid engine conversion on my del sol

  • PILE OF DIRT

  • Have you had any problems boosting your b20's? I was planning on doing a small turbo on my b20 crx. And it seems like you have alot of experience with the b20 so i was just wondering how they hold up.

  • what song is this?

  • been following your build thread on honda-tech man, awesome project, keep those updates coming!

  • So is the intercooler in the back?

  • thats amazing mate, wot do you need to do to mount the engine in the back??? ive got 2 crxs and i wanted to put the engine in the back, you have done it,so help me out, lol, wot kind of work is involved?? msg me if its easier for you, thanks youngyx87x@hotmail.co.uk

  • i want to do this to my civic hatch but i wanted to kno. doesnt it get really noisy in the car. just wondering

  • Dope and are you member of honda-tech?

  • i like the idea:D

  • Comment removed

  • dam yo, i'm a crx owner too and i am inpress with what you did man... shit back wheel drive that must be the shit man...it's much more powerful because of what you did...converted your crx to rear wheel drive..

  • Also, I'm guessing that's the intercooler mounted where the rear bumper should be...if so, do you have any problems with intake temps with the exhaust being there? I'm guessing it's not that much of an issue...no worse, anyway, then I have in my turbo SE-R. I mean, I guess even in a FF turbo car the mani/down pipe etc are pretty close to the intercooler.

Anyway, great car man. Looks like fun, and I bet it turns some heads when they see those rear tires spinning. Thumbs up! Great work.

  • There's probably a simple explanation for this...but I'm curious. How, since the engine is in the 'rear', does the trans work out? Are the linkages switched? Or basically...what do you have to do, to make it be in the correct order (i.e. top to bottom, left to right on the shifter)? Or am I over-thinking it? I know it seems like a dumb question, and I do have general automotive knowledge...just never had experience with a converted RWD car.

  • credit to you man

  • that thing must handle like a pig with all the weight over the rears

  • damn yo u gotta stop usng frame filter theyy r made in china ive cut them open as well as seen videos on youtube they r sooooo cheaply made

  • wtf thats hella hard

  • do you have build thread somewere posted?

  • @kerzaz look it up on honda-tech under "my mid engine rwd crx"

  • that shit is crazy. how long was the build?

  • Drift that baby... lol jk

  • check out the "drift" video lol

  • Love all the vids man! the car is amazing!

Are you planing on getting around to curcuit? trying to make it handle?

    history has been made lol

  • I built it mostly for drag racing.... but it has 4 wheel disc now and I've modified the front suspension so it handles decently. the welded rear diff doesn't help much though :-)

  • No it probably doesnt lol. You planning on finishing the car? like do an interior and all that and paint? or is the car strictly a racing toy? Id love to see how this thing would compare against some exotics on the street! :-)

  • nah, its purely a racing toy. every inch of wiring that wasnt required was removed, as well as just about everything else. I've been thinking about making another RWD project out of something and keeping full interior and whatnot though...

  • @zimsplat I got a 1996 Toyota celica GT i wanna make it RWD with a 1jz GTE or a old corolla engine. I also own a 98 GSX.

  • @zimsplat Rear wheel drive Scion TC that is street drivable?? Just throwing out an idea.
