  • I just found one in a junk shop, covered in dust, but he says he wont sell it! oh yes, he will :) ILL BREAK HIM DOWN!

  • This could have been an epic demo, but sound quality ruins it. I hear hums and digital noise through the video.

  • @jvcforce Well, you get what you pay for. Besides, why should I spend lots of money on rare gear, make high quality videoes for others to sample?

My 2008 videos used a JVC HD cam where I'd run audio into it stereo MIC jack. From 2009 to present, I've been using my old Sony VX-2000 with stereo LINE jack for better audio quality. Be sure to subscribe for updates of future viddies - I have LOTS of vintage synths and drum machines.

  • @zibbybone I checked your new video uploads. Like you said, the sound quality of your newer uploads are better (there's still room for the improvement though.) But, if you upload your video in HD, don't you want to "match" the sound quality to the video as well? I didn't realize that people sample sound from YouTube video. (I never sample sound from YouTube videos, sound is always in lossy format) Anyway, I like your uploads, I just wanted to hear them in the better sound quality.

  • @jvcforce Thanks for the kind works. I think my sound quality does improve with each video, but I'm still trying to find a system that works best. Stay tuned!

  • love the quijada and guiro ,,..and those light cymbals..

  • I had one of those, It was sold on ebay, one of the best Drum Machines ever. You can coax some over the top sounds.

  • check out Tiny Pops VSTi emulation, Wicked!

    superwavesynths co uk

  • Thank you, Capt. Spammy.

BTW, the emulations of which you speak are PC only. Oh, well..

  • Check out ( superwavesynths co uk ) for a great VSTi emulation of this vintage machine

  • Have you seen the Percussion King?

    V-829

The VOX Percussion touted as the "effect that makes a group big!" It had ten effects which included; Crash Cymbal, Brush Cymbal, Bass Drum, Snare Drum, Drum Roll, Bongo I, Bongo II, Block, Clave and Castanets. The two foot pedals were used to tap out the rhythm and alternatively rhythms could be tapped out using the finger buttons on the control panel.

  • thank you very much! exactly what I was looking for. Can you actually combine any of the rhythms?

  • Yes, you can combine 2 rhythms, which is what Jarre did for many tracks on Oxygene & Equinox. I will probably make another video with combined rhythms. Be sure to subscribe to my Channel for updates!

  • That would be great. I'm planning to make a free vst version someday with the original patterns(if Korg has nothing against that).

For now I just did a "FL-drum-synth-live"-patch where I remodeled the sounds.

  • you can try but the VST's will never get to the same level and you know it ..

  • Nice demo!

    Thanks!

  • A Korg MInipops 7 sounds a bit different - it has a different rimshot... nice demo!

  • I did not know that. I thought they were the same machine, just different labels. Thanks for the kind words. As soon as I get the "balance" fixed on my CR-78 (sans programmer), I'll make a video for it. Stay tuned, I've got quite a collection of vintage electronic instrumets.

  • God I remember those..Well I aint that old but still I remember seeing an old one my friend had

  • Classic. Nice demo!
