With all due respect to Everest, the mountain has now become a playground for the rich and trendy people. You can now hire a tour guide to take you up it. Books that will exhilarate you in their reading are 'Touching The Void' by Joe Simpson; or try the one that inspired Joe to take up mountain climbing, 'The White Spider' by Heinrich Harrer.
if you like that book, read THE CLIMB by Anatoli Boukreev... its not as good of a read but it gives you the perspective of the disaster from a guide on the Mountain Madness team
krakauer in his book is very critical of one of the guides anatoli bukriev who infact is a true hero. krakauers book is a bunch of lies when it comes to some things that happened on the mountain. it's a good read but very fr from the truth.
This is the worst trailer, ever.

29,029feet was the official. Depending on the snow fall it may go to 29,029+.

You should know this if you did this for a school project.
Anyone who dies on mount Everest stays up there because there's no way to get the bodies down.

@Gam3rsMedia I believe there has been a clean up of corpses on Everest. The lastest one was last year...around April.

And why do you think Anatoli Boukreev's version of events is more accurate?

@mcjizzlin read Boukreev's "The Climb" and your question will fall off itself.
