Tammy was a beautician when she got into the music business, and kept up her license until her death. Her hair reflects the style of the day, and she was beautiful - then and now. Please stop the "bad hair" comments. Take a picture of yourself today, repost for the world to see 30 years from now, and let's see what people write then.
The hair is goofy, but she was a dynamite singer. What I loved best about her was how she zinged it right between the eyes to Bill and Hillary Clinton. That's what I like: a woman who inspires, has guts, and hits the bulls eye.
She has a stunning face to bad about that tragic hair. That being said, I suppose it shouldn't be important about the hair, she was a huge talent. The void she left in country music when she died will never be filled.
@Withshortwings Country music had an identity problem coming into the mainstream and this moment should not be held against her - I take it for what it is and I think she looks beautiful top to bottom. "That being said" the times I spent with her were standard woman dress and high class at that. The time that hurts is the end.
@AnnaMayWongSociety Tammy has no moment to be held against...was really just trying to be funny...failed miserably I suspect. I guess the hair just stands in contrast to the utterly perfect face and of course perfect voice. Tammy fills my music collection. Her influence runs through all genres of music. I recently heard a rap artist when asked who is musical influences were and his first choice, believe it or not, was Tammy Wynette.
@danielramos56 Have we run into you before? You can not keep politics out of anything. Give it a few hours for some to read then you are out of business here.
@danielramos56 You are a true idiot - this has nothing to do with what you say you have in Argentina - in fact your statement is an embarrassment of insight and identifying and using your Country as an example of anything...well it backfired. This is classic Nashville Cosmo/Country stage look - dressed as the mostly Southern middle Americans dreamed to see her on stage circa 1970. In real life she dressed and looked as any American of the era. Now why don't you take your foot out of your mouth
loved her...awesome clip...i thought she looked fantastic
