@gadadhoon a) This video is four years old; b) Doheny Beach holds an organized event on specific grunion runs and it was the 16th anniversary of the first one; c) yes, grunion have been coming to the beach much, much longer than that...

Are you allowed to catch them and fry them like the guy said at the end?

@rakxzo When they are in season, which is March, June, July and August. And you must catch them by hand. You may also may need a fishing license.

So weird...I just got done watching the Sitcom,3's Company..and Jack went on a grunion run with Larry's sister.And I didn't have 1 clue what a "Grunion Run" was,not 1 clue.Oh well...this is suppose to be exciting? Ughh.

i actually saw them at laguna beach a couple years ago. they were everywhere! just happened to be at the beach that night. was awesome!

i went to the san clemente pier, only a few miles away, and there were only like 20 grunion. i was about to go to Capo/Doheny Beach. I'm not happy
