when i right click and open my minecraft with achieve utility i just get a zipped file i dont get a physical folder and when i open my minecraft i dont get the news thing ijust get the uploader i dont sign in at all

Didn't work. Don't you have to compress the miencraft.jar folder after you're done installing the mods? Zip it up then rename it to a jar file...?

@DIGItalColourMedia i haven't had to do that. i only needed to do that when i modded my server. if u want you can try to compress it. you dont compress the folder. what you do is you go inside the folder and compress all the .class files. bring that .zip file oustide the folder and rename it to minecraft.jar

@10secondKingdom If you dont have it it should give you the option "Compress" which will make a minecraft.jar.zip file. Open that and you have the folder you needed, no it will not get rid of the minecraft.jar original file.

I messed up cuz I got a black screen, then realized that I had meta.inf. I deleted that and tried launching it again but wouldn't work. So I deleted the whole minecraft but the saves and tried again. Still doesn't work!

I downloaded the 1.7.3 one from the forums, cuz im on beta 1.7.3(duh). Btw, I'm on Mac OS X 10.4.11.

@hasikunsan Delete your entire bin. (I know it sounds scary, but you really need to do it) Only deleting your minecraft.jar won't do the trick. If your still really nervous, (Don't be, i've done it millions of times) you can back up your saves. When you delete your bin it will re-download all of the files from the bin.

if your minecraft crashes or you get a black screen to fix this you go to user/library/application support/minecraft

in this you copy and paste the Saves folder anywhere on your computer. Delete the entire minecraft folder and start from scratch....

So basically saying delete everything dealing with minecraft and start a new world and everything?

@DarkAbyss846 You didn't read what you posted, did you? "Copy and paste the Saves folder" You make a backup of your worlds before deleting the minecraft folder. Once you re-install everything, just put the saves back in. If you have texture packs, save those too.

i have a question, my minecraft will not work without me holding down the mouse button. I have to hold down the button to look around in game. I have reinstalled minecraft and tried a different mouse but it makes no difference. As a mac user i was hoping that you'd be able to help.

This is a great video!! I only have one question. How would I upload these same mods to a server (that I have already created). If I download mods, will my friends be able to use them when we play together on the mc server?

@DaKromachine first you have to make sure that the mod is for multiplayer. some mods are for single player only. other than that im not sure one of my friends had a server and when you logged on it you had the mods but later you had to download the mods and install them on your minecraft to get the mods on his server. i havent really researched servers in a while sorry.

When i made this video minecraft was at Alpha 1.26. Right now it is at Beta 1.4. I havent tried any of the new or resent mods. I dont know if you install them in the same way as i showed. If it isnt working for you then start over with a fresh minecraft and if that doesnt work then stop trying. Hope this helps

make sure that your minecraft is the same version as the mods you are using. minecraft is at beta 1.2_01. since the update came in the last few days i doubt any of the mods have been updated. CHECK BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD the mods to make sure that they will work.

Tried downloading Mo Creatures and all I got was *MINECRAFT CRASHING* so I tried again but this time just the modloader and audiomod. Again all I got was the game crashing! Yup, I followed all the instructions and tried this several times. Still no luck. Maybe either modloader or audiomod is bugged?

@ReggieTurtle if your game crashes once you have to delete the entire minecraft folder. make sure you have BACKEDUP your saved games. just copy and paste the SAVEs folder in the minecraft folder. Then start from scratch
