  • good solo man! i have just a question... i've the same guitar and i got a problem, when i use tremolo bar it goes out of tone immediately. have u too same problem? thank you very much

  • This can happens even with floyd rose tremolo systems. For this kind of standard tremolo system, if you get it well configured and not abuse on tremolo utilization, we can stay in tune. What I can recommend you is watch Fudua youtube videos with some tips how to "How to keep your Strat tremolo in tune". I am sure it will improve a lot the stability of your guitar.

  • @figueiredomarcelobe Thank you very much man! Im now watching it.

  • Great guitar I just had to install Grover mini 406C rotomatic tuners for $50

  • I've got one of these with the aluminium wrap over bridge in tobacco burst, it's absolutely lovely. I've had Gibsons and this beauty is much better any USA guitar I've tried. Just because it's USA doesn't mean it's better, I've came to learn that.

  • JOE SATRIANI!!!!! i like it ;)

  • I really like this backing track were can i find it......... I also like your style of playing.. I can tell you put a lot of emotion into your playing... nice work

  • Mascheranoooooooo!

  • Amazing tone! Beautiful Guitar and tight playing! Nice Man!! :)

  • Do you have problem when you playing over the 17 fret? because where the neck joint, is got a big block there...

  • No problem to play over all fret board. This guitar have amazing playability.

  • Just got the hardtail version of this from e.bay £200.00 absolute bargain, and it stays in tune !!!

  • Your guitar is very classy and well-balance.. Good taste!! I like it..

    You play very well too...

  • What are your settings on the ts9 and amp? Do you rely on the pedal for the gain or do you split the difference between the amps gain and the ts9? Thanks sounds good dude.

  • My overdrive is a result of TS9 pumping the tube amplifier overdrive channel.

  • Javier Mascherano!

  • wwwwwwwwwwwww

  • Ur amazing !!!!! Love that kind of playng and nice guitar i buy it too =)

  • cheesiest song ever

  • nice playing, but u make me lol

  • hey figueiredomarcelobe what are you using with your PRS? Which Amplifier and pedal or any other external effects if there are any?

  • I have very simple setup. It is based on Ibanez TS9 pumping my tube amplifier (Meteoro Cristalino). Cristalino is a very nice tube amplifier, made in Brazil by amplificadoresmeteoro.

  • thanx a lot!

  • i would like to know how to make he guitar make the noise you did at 31 seconds...im a beginner still figuring things and nd just curious as to how its done

  • it was a pinch harmonic. you can youtube it for details!

  • would you recommend this guitar?? (whale blue) which ius better the se 22 or se 24

  • I love my SE PRS Custom and I would recommend it. It is a greate instrument and the stock pickups are very good. Things like 22 or 24 frets, or fixed bridge are more related with the personal stile.

  • i see u also have an sg how do these compare (if i was ever getting an sg it would be a special faded edition)

  • SG is also a great guitar. PRS neck is more confortable than SG. The SG has the verfy nice sound to rock and blues/rock riffs, solos and base. They are different instruments, but I love both.

  • I am confused between the 24 n 22 fret model man . . I dont need the trem but is the 24 fret one much easier to play coz I read it has a thinner neck ? Also, would droppin to D back n forth disturb the intonation or tuning stability in the trem bridge ?

  • I never played the 24 frets model. Usually necks with more frets, demmands more tension in to the strings to get the rigth intonation. Thats the reason I replaced all my 24 frets guitars for 22 frets. At the end of the day, I never use the 23 and 24 frets. Fixed bridge give you more sustain and allow you to do D back. If you purchase with the flaot bridge, you can just set up it to be locked, working like a fixed one.

  • They are nice guitars. Got an SE semi hollow with humbuckers, sounds pretty good. Raise the amp all the way up & roll down the volume knob on guitar to get a decent single coil sound.

  • considering on selling my epiphone les paul for a prs like that.. sounds so awesome..

  • my plans exactly haha, Singlecuts are hard to play.

  • I can't keep mine in tune. Tried everything, Fuck my life.

  • My PRS still in tune very well. You have to find the bridge balance with your strings. Some lubrificaion on the nut (with graffiti) will help also.

  • good job friend i like this..i buy this guitar

  • @alichoturko get locking tuners installed on it.

  • @alichoturko Have you tried putting an american PRS Nut on it? I did that to mine (along with Grover locking tuners) and the thing never goes out of tune.

  • @alichoturko have you tried new tuners? :D

  • Can you get a really smooth high-mid ibanez sort of tone out of this, coz that would make this a 100% buy!

  • you can get just about any tone out of a prs. thats one of the reasons i love mine so much

  • if you want a really smooth high-mid ibanez sort of tone, why dont you get a really smooth high-mid ibanez? ;) but, the SE custom can get that tone. or any for that matter :)

  • Because I prefer the other tones you get from this than the other tones that you can get from an ibanez :P

But that nice smooth sound is bliddy awesome! So if this guitar can get that, then I'm sold!

  • this are like the $600 US guitars right?

  • every PRS SE I've seen is right around there. Very good bang for your buck on these guitars

  • yea i guess thanks a lot.

  • no like 399

  • 499 at GC

  • very nice, what amp are you using there?

  • Thanks! This peace was played with a Classic Cristalino. Cristalino is a Brazilian amplifier crafted by Amplificadores Meteoro, full tube amp with 80 watts and 2x12 speakers.

  • this is hilarious..

  • Ernie Ball Slinky RPS 10s work great, havent had to retune in over a month.

  • great tone

  • I just bought this exact same Gtr except with the hard tail. Really good guitar, Great sound, great fast and comfortable neck. BUT!! it wont go in or stay in tune. so here is a question. Does anyone know if a PRS adjustable bridge and PRS locking tuners can be installed on the SE. If not I'll have to go aftermarket but would rather keep PRS hardware on it if possible cuz this axe is worth saving. I'll do a proper set up on it first but doubt that will solve the problems I'm having with it.

  • Hey man I know its pretty basic and you may have already done this, but have you tried new strings?

  • Actually I put it in the shop and had a full setup done on it. And that did in fact solve all the problems I was having. It just needed the loving hand of a good guitar tech. All I can say now is...great gtr.

For the money I dont think there is a better guitar on the market.

  • Also, If you have the stoptail bridge, you need to use .010 guage strings cuz thats what the bridge is cut for. If you use a different guage, your intonation is gonna be fucked and you'll never be able to get it into perfect tune.

  • how much this baby costs?

  • under 600 US

  • great neck pickup ;)

  • i wouldnt go for either the custom or the singlecut id go for the custom semi-hollow, its lighter and having the semi-hollow adds to the look but most of all it sounds soooo much better because it has the hollow, the tone is so much fuller and its just a better guitar

  • Dude, that was awsome!

I want to buy an SE, too, just not sure if I want a Singlecut or Custom...

  • The SE Custom does come with better pickups, but the SE has some sweet pickups, and really that is the only difference. I just got the SE single cut, NO TREMOLO. And it is the sweetest guitar I have ever played. I have had alot of Guitars, but for the money you will not find a better guitar. I'm an Ibanez man, and PRS has changed my mind on any Guitar purchases in the future.

  • Well, I just got the SE Singlecut, it's really great!

  • Nice vid! How does the whammy bar handle, like will the guitar stay in tune, can the bar go up and down or just down, etc. And how do u feel about the SE Paul Allender

  • The whammy bar works fine, for a standard whammy bar configuration. This is not a floyed rose bridge, but it gives you similar possibilities of standard stratocaster bridge. About SE Paul Allender, I never tried it before, but it looks like the SE Custom, with the same wood construction, but with different pickups.

  • would you reccomend this guitar or the SE Custom 24?

  • I never tried SE Custom 24 before, but it should be a nice guitar also...

  • dude, they'll both be crazy awesome. I've had 4 SE's before moving on to a custom 24, they were all seriously the best for the money, all other brands spend money on the looks, PRS SE's all the money is spent on the woods, the truss rod, the electronic, the hardware. they all sound awesome.

On Custom 24 or 22, just figure out which you'd be more comfortable with, 24 frets or 22. lol

    AMEN!!

  • bro i want change my prs se custom nuts with graptech nuts...u know the type to match with it...thx bro

  • Sorry, I have no idea...

  • Nice playing. Makes me want to try a PRS SE. Did you try a PRS SE Singlecut before deciding on your SE Custom? If so, what were your thoughts on the 2 guitars?

I think I like the sound of the Custom better, but like the body on the Singlecut with it's curved top. If I put in Classic PAF style pickups in a Singlecut would it sound closer to your Custom?

  • The SE Single cutway is also very nice guitar. Singelcut has a lot of sustain and very nice cunstruction. I just got the SE Custom, because I sold a Jem 555 to buy other guitar with standard tremolo. Otherwise the Singlecut could be a perfect choice for me.

  • Nice solo man! I also love the sound of my SE Custom.

  • how is the guitar over all i am thinking about getting one

    by the way nice playing

  • This PRS Custom SE is an excellent guitar. You can not go wrong with that guitar. The PRS project provide you the gibsons wood conbinatons, the gibsons neck angle, but with the strat neck size and playability. Just keep in mind that stock pickups are more Classic PAF stile, for me they are nice. But if you don´t like it, you can replace by pickups of your preference. I would recommend the PRS Custom SE by the excellent contruction.

  • Dude do you have tab for this? That was sweet playing

  • awesome guitar awesome playing awesome backing track

  • AWESOME!

  • nice playing but you've gotta lose that cum face on big notes lol

  • Wow man, I already ordered this guitar in but I havent had the chance to play it, so I thought I would watch a few videos.

This one just makes my wait so much more painful because it sounds SOOO GOOD!! Sick playing as well.

  • fuckin killer

im thinking of buying that guitar towards the end of the year.

  • is that the korean made one? how much?

  • Yes, it is a Korean PRS Custom SE. I purshased it in Brazil, and it was around 1000 USD.

  • how much was this guitar and does t have the locking tuning pegs?

  • It don´t have locking tuners.

  • What color is ur PRS SE because im deciding between the cherry and the grey/black. ive seen the cherry in person but ive only seem the grey one online and it looks beautiful which one would u recommend?

  • Colour is something very personal. My PRS is grey/black, and to be honest with you, I liked also the cherry PRS. When I bought it, I had to ask my wife to help me to decide the colour. In my opinion, both are beautiful.

  • well im deciding between the PRS SE Custom and an American Standard strat but i dont knwo which one to choose? advice thanks figueircelobe

  • Both are great guitars. It will depends of your stile and taste. I prefer humbuckers instead of single coils, but again it is a very personal thing.

  • thanks for the advice bro... acho vou nessa guitarra mesmo.

    Abracos!

  • man this guitar sounds awesome i want one now

what kind of amp are you using??

  • Thansk! My amp is a "Meteoro Cristalino", built by brazilian brand called "Amplificadores Meteoro".

  • Great sound. I saw you with a Gibson SG. What do you prefer PRS or SG?

  • They are diferent guitars, I like both. SG has a wanderfull sound and PRS has an amazing neck and body construction... you have to try both to understand the diference.

  • very nice playing friend, I've been thinking about buying that very same guitar except in the cherry sunburst, and I'm guessing you like it, and after watching this video i also figured out that it sounds great, I haven't got to play one yet, but now I can't wait. and congrats on an amazing song, very entertaining video.

  • Great playing, I enjoyed it very much!

  • very nice playing

  • awesome! this is way better than a les paul! like umm the shape and apparent neck thickness seem more comfortable than the thick les pauls. cant wait to try one out! =] and the tremolo makes it even more desirable than a les paul!!!

a gibson fan who is exploring other possiblities

  • wtf thts weird no shit but i have the same guitar same colour and same strap lol :S

  • your music is like a mix of satriani and vai and zaza heheheh :)) nice playin!

  • hai..nice sound bro..btw do you have a problem with the pitch? i have prs se custom too..but when i play with the tremolo and i bend the strings the tuning is changed...u think what happened?thx bro...

  • Usually these kind of guitars need some lubrication on the nut. I would suggest some graphite to lub the nut, it will help you to keep it on tune. I use graphite on my PRS Custom SE and works well!!

  • Could be nut binding. As mentioned, graphite helps and the easiest way to get graphite is by pencil lead.

  • I have this guitar and it rocks. I really like the tremelo bar (it works really well).

Nice guitar work by the way. You using an amp or was this plugged into your computer?

  • For this video I plugged it on my tube amplifier classic cristalino. It was built for a brasilian brand (amplificadoresmeteoro).

  • Do you write all your accompaniment?

If you do, what program do you use?

  • I usually write everything. I work with Sonar and also ACID Pro. But for this video I just downloaded a Satriani MIDI backing track.

  • which backing track was it and how long have you been playing for?

  • Hey, just bought one too. Really great guitar. Unfortunately, here in Italy it costs 799 euros :|

  • Hi! i have the PRS Standard SE Import Korea check out the Video response

  • NICE!!

  • soudns very john petrucci ish. i like it you're good. nice vid.

  • your damned good at the pitch harmonics

  • the Neck pickup is sick!! i'm really digging the SE pickups. i might put a cover on my bridge pickup to fatten the tone a bit to make it really growl. but it sounds good.

  • their called EMGs idiot

  • other thing.. can you fix the "outoftune" problem (when the trem is used) just changing the tuners by locking ones?

This information will be very useful for me, because in the place i live is almost impossible to play and feel one personaly.. thanks..

  • I will replace my PRS tuners by locking tunners, sun I got some money for it. I would say that standard bridges like PRS ones are not so stable as Floyd Rose systems. But as every body knows, Floyd Rose afect a little bit the guitar sustain and sound. If you are a havy Floyd user, I would not recomend PRS Custom SE for you.

  • i'm gonna change mine for the phase 2 locking tuners.

theyre hard to find but should sort it out.

  • hi figueiredomarcelobe.. i´m thinking in get one of the SE models, but i have a question for you before spend all my money (i´m poor). Can you set a nice, smooth low string action on it? How comfrotable is the wide-fat neck?.. by the way, nice sound and playing.. thanks for your time

  • Neck fits is something very personal. To my taste the PRS neck is perfect. Just to give you an idea, I sold my Ibanez JEM to buy this PRS. I would suggest you make a "test drive" and take your own conclusions about that.

  • beautiful guitar. Learn music.

  • I bought this guitar in the red with a trem

it didnt come with the trem arm and had to buy it seperate

in the bit where it screws in there is a bit of plastic and i cant get the arm to go in

do i need to buy a new smaller arm or take out the plastic bit?

  • Do not remove the plastic inside of the bridge role. The arm works similar way of some Ibanez bridges. You have to look on the back of bridge and find a small role and screw it with an appropiate tool (key). It will help you to lock the arm.

  • thanks for your help!

  • its supposed to come with one, and the one mine came with doesnt have any part your supposed to screw in, it just slips in, which is why i love it

  • can i only use a PRS trem arm or could i use a normal one?

  • Can't play the SE sitting on my bed cuz of the output jack lol.

  • Figured, thx. My friend has a ME-50, do you mind sharing your config so I can try it out at his house?

And on a different subject, is your SE's output jack kinda loose too? lol, idk if this is how it's supposed to be.

Thanks again for your patience :D

  • Soon I got some free time, I will post a video about my setup, including ME-50. About PRS SE output jack, in my guitar it works fine. I would not recomend study guitar on the bed, as you posted bellow, you could get some back pain.

  • Thx man appreciate it

  • the output jack got loose on mine too

all you need to is tighten the part around the hole

  • Are you using digital delay btw? I can almost hear a subtle double, or is it the reverb?

  • Yes, I am using Boss ME-50 Digital delay. My standard delays are configured between 400 and 450 miliseconds.

  • Whats your amp setting, I just bought the guitar and it doesn't sound all that different from my Strat. I want that 00:26-00:42 classic rock sound. I still can't get rid of the twangy noise.

  • Hows it compared to the ESPs with EMG 81/85 81/81 or 81/60s?

  • I don´t like these OMG active pickups. My taste is more oriented to passive pickups. Even on passive pickups area, you can find very heavy pickups, build by seymour duncan and dimarzio. But Metal guys usually love these OMG´s.

  • I wanna get a SE myself, but can it handle metal? what's the noise level like at hugh gain?

And what song is this btw, got TAB?

  • I would suggest a PRS Tremonti SE for metal. The wood and also the pickups are oriented to a very powerfull guitar. I tested it and for me it is a great instrument. Remember that the guitar is only one peace of your intirely rig.

  • How many guitars do you have? lol

  • As you can see, I have a cople of guitars... :) remenber that "There is no to much guitars".

  • Man you pretty much rock with anything in your hands. Good job!! I want to see more!!

  • Nice job, and thank you for getting it in Gray/Black and not the cherry. I'd like to see some more tremolo use!

  • I believe that here will not be possible comment about it, I need more space to do that. Anyway, this PRS Custom SE is the best guitar you can get for the price level. I will creat a video shredding to show you the possibilities of this nice guitar.

  • i was wondering, i heard the neck is fat and wide, so how would that be for a shredder? i just wanna get an idea, can you make a vid. of you shredding?

  • You get used to the neck, it's still fast just nice and substantial.

  • the prs se customs rule!

  • Great tune bro. I like your style. The PRS SE's are underated. If you like soft sounds try out the Alnic Pro II from Seymour Duncan.

  • Good playing. :)

  • How do you like your PRS? I have the singlecut model and i wasen't overly impressed with it but it does the job. great playing as well.

  • This PRS fits perfect to my style. At the beginning I had only one concern about pickups, they have hi output level, too strong to my taste. To fix that,I just spent some time to get the right distance between pickups and guitar strings and they are singing now! I recommend you leave the minimum of 3 millimeters distance between pickups and strings. For the bridge one, I suggest also a little tuning on the pickup poles. Good Luck and enjoy your PRS!

  • ¨what amp your using?

  • This is a Brazilian amplifier, built by AmplificadoresMeteoro, called Meteoro Cristalino. Good ampli, featured as the old tube amps, with 2x12 speackers, two channels (clean and drive). To get more punch, I usualy pump the drive channel with a TS-9.

  • It flows together nicely.

  • Fala Marcelo!! Belo timbre! bela performance!!! e sem dúvida , bela guita! abração!!!

  • Muito Bom !!!!

    Parabens pela nova guita !!!!

    5 estrelas....

    abracao
